I liked parts and bits of it and the idea was interesting...BUT it was never able to make me crave for the next episode. The music part was never explored properly and they made it seem really boring. They tried to keep the mistery, which worked for some time, but it soon became predictable and their choice for the killer character was less than interesting. The female lead was just so ughhh, and believe me this is not the actress fault. The problem was with the character. If I lost my memories I would be much more careful with who I trust and what I say, cause they remember me, but I would have no idea what kind of person they are, so they always have the upper hand. I can deal with them making the female lead emotionally weak since there was a good reason for it, but not with making her so clueless, that really got on my nerves.
So yeah, I kinda liked it, and kinda didn’t. It was not a memorable drama for me and I think with such an interesting idea they could have done much better. Oh well, on to the next drama.
Normally I would be annoyed at this kind of ending, but with this plot I was actually glad it ended the way it did. Usually I have a hard time deciding who to root for because the second male lead sometimes seems a better option than the male lead and the other way around. But this one made me think the entire time: am I supposed to root for someone??
I ended up just rooting for the female lead alone hoping she would not make the same mistakes. She clearly does not have good taste for men, cause they were both jerks and the writers tried really hard to make their characters grow but in real life people don’t change that easily.
So yeah, the only thing I kind of liked was how they did not follow the typical route for the ending.
I will be honest. Like a lot of other people, I watched this only for the main couple - Mi Ri and Tae Joo. And at first I was also curious to know how her story with her biological mother would unfold. Unfortunately, the scenes with the main couple became less and less as the drama progressed to give screen time to the other sisters relationships, which to be honest I could not care less. And the whole thing with the biological mother got really old pretty fast. A little bit after the halfway mark, which is still a lot of episodes, I was just watching because I had invested so much time in it that I wanted to watch it until the end. The whole sickness plot was unnecessary as it has been overused in this kind of daily dramas. I know it happens in real life, but here you could tell they just wanted the story to become even more dramatic and drag it for longer. Still, I could not avoid crying. I don’t like when dramas/movies make me look like a crybaby. TT
" almost every character was admitted to the hospital at least once." , busted out while reading this, means how…
Yup. It has been almost a year since I watched this but I still remember all the hospital admittances. Even in medical dramas people go to the hospital less than in this one. XD
I liked the first half and was ok with the whole clothe designing and table tennis themes in the same story, even tho it is a weird combination. But then in the second half they messed it up. It felt like the writers wanted to add every plot line possible to the drama, there were schemes, misunderstandings, murders, accidental deaths, and any kind of dramatic thing you can imagine to make almost every character in the story look pitful. At some point I was not sure anymore if I was watching a school drama, a romance, a sports drama, a comedy, a melodrama, a crime investigation, ..........
Episode 35 felt like nothing was even near being resolved, and then in the last episode they just tried to wrap up things in the most convenient and unrealistic way.
I love romantic stories, but by the end I wished the female lead would just focus on herself. And as annoying as people think the SML was, at least he never gave up on her, trusted her even if no one else did and was there when she most needed. I cannot be happy with such a convenient ending after everything that I had to swallow in the second half. They should have kept it shorter, like 24 episodes, not 36. Any longer and it would have went full on melodrama, and become a completely different drama.
Because now there is no way I will want to watch this. The plot is already so messed up and knowing it is based on a true story, which I ended up reading about, I just don’t feel like I will be able to watch it without becoming a wreck. So I said RIP to the drama, not the little girl who is alive, but she will never have a normal life because of some sick bastard.
I can’t say more because the person did not start the subs yet, but is is on the future projects of someone…
Not so far. She is subbing other 3 or 4 dramas and the only thing I know is that it is on her future projects but I have no idea what is the priority compared to other dramas. She might start subbing it the next few months or only a few years from now, and it is a long drama so it will take some time. What I can say is that as soon as I have any updates I will come back here and reply to your comment to let you know.
How many episodes does the short version contain? Is it ok if I watch the short version ?
Yes, it does have English subtitles and I watched it on youtube, but I am not sure if the videos are still available. Try searching it on youtube and see if something shows up.
Nice. I prefer waiting as long as needed and watch it with proper subs than when people use google translator and I understand even less than without subs. I don’t understand a lot of chinese but I studied a little bit of the language so I remember some expressions and can recognise some characters and I have seen some really weird translations out there. The characters will be like in the middle of a fight scene and the subtitles says "I can’t stand cucumbers", that is how weird some subtitles are. So thank you for the snail pace subbing, because at least you take the time to properly subtitle it.
Started out interesting, then became average and as the ending got closer it became less and less logical and entertaining. The ending was...oh well, chinese dramas are known for the awful endings (of course there are exceptions) and this one could be on that list. I am not saying it is tragic, it just isn’t by any means an impressive ending.
Exactly. They are probably one of my favourite couple. I just could not get enough of them. I can’t believe…
Yup, also watching that one. And waiting for a few more episodes of Prodigy Healer to be subbed so I can start it. The main couple is played by the same actors that played CH and SQ here. ^^
All 28 episodes have been subbed. I just finished watching this.
Yup, I just checked, they are all still there. Just scroll down and where it says All videos, just click show more and you will be able to find them. The first one you see is the most recent, episode 28, so just keep scrolling down and hover over the title to see which episode it is.

They are all subbed. Don‘t look at the playlist for that drama since it was not updated. Look through all the videos. The episodes are mixed in with other videos.
For the fans of CH and SQ, I just realised they are the main leads of Prodigy Healer. I already knew she was the main lead but did not notice he was there too, and since he is the main lead and the first in the cast order, for sure they are a couple there too. I already had that one on my plan to watch list and now I am even more excited about it. I will try to keep my expectations not too high tho, because I know they just won’t be able to pull off a couple as interesting as CH and SQ. ^^
