Although I mainly watch korean dramas and movies for the romance, as long as the story is well done, I like all kinds of movies. And I have always liked crime and law related dramas/movies. This seems like an interesting pick to watch with my family. Might give it a try, if and when I do, I will come back to share my thoughts on it.
Don’t worry. I felt exactly the same way most of the time. If you are like me, you will only fully understand…
How far in the story are you? I have finished it and found it interesting as a whole, but I have to admit that the beginning was probably the most interesting part of the story and made me believe things were going to go in a certain direction, but I was completely fooled. It was nothing like I expected, but that is not necessarily bad.
Why "The White Hair Princess Consort"? I am curious now!
You will only understand this once you are past the half point of the drama. Let’s just say that this title is actually accurate and can be taken literally not like most translations of chinese drama titles. Lol
no available eng sub for last 2 episodes yet i think.. probably this Friday or the weekends most likely..
I have finished it, with subs. If you are watching it in the facebook page that is updating this, they shared the last 2 episodes in links to google drive videos.
Seriously! These two entitled princes, I wanna slap their arrogant faces for constantly disrespecting the princess.…
Don’t worry. I felt exactly the same way most of the time. If you are like me, you will only fully understand the characters actions after finishing it. And without spoilers, you’re in for a lot of surprises and twists. Don’t give up tho, I did not and I do not regret watching this.
The way it started was probably the best part and kind of made my expectations very high. Then it became a little your average chinese drama and then I felt like I was not sure if I was liking it a lot or if it was just another drama. It left me quite confused. But now that I have finished it I think things are finally clear. Yes, its not perfect, yes, the way it began made us all believe that it would have a more interesting story than it actually had, BUT it did fool us all. People who seemed to be good and loyal were not so loyal, people who seemed to be the bad guys were actually not that bad, someone who I, until the end, was not quite sure if he/she was a bad person or a good person, turned out to make the most beautiful sacrifice any other character had made the entire series. When things seemed to be going down we were given hope, when things seemed to be going well something big happened that made us question the future of a lot of characters. In the end, you could try guessing, but you were never a 100% sure of what would happen. We did not know much more than the female lead about what was going on and just like her, only at the end were we able to see things clearly and understand every past action and situation. And for me that was a positive thing about this because most dramas are very predictable.
The main leads romance was definitely what you call true love, and it has been some time since I have seen a male lead so desperately in love with the female lead, and he is not the only one. And yeah, I could keep going but I would probably spoil it for you.
So is it worth it? In my opinion, yes. I watched it while it was airing so I was able to enjoy it more. This is 58 episodes long so if you binge-watch it you might not be able to see its worth. Try watching it while watching other dramas and take your time. This was not the best historical chinese drama I have watched, but it was far from being the worst. Worth watching at least once.
I kind ignored this one because of the low rating and the trailer which honestly just makes it look like a bunch…
So...here I am to share my thoughts on this one. This drama had the best female lead ever. I really liked her personality and how she knew how to deal with people, including the male lead. I wish more female leads were like this one, especially in thai dramas. Their bickering romance was also pretty good.
Unfortunately, the female lead’s incredible personality and the main leads romance were only about 10% of the drama. The other 90% was a mixture of lots of violence, from fights with guns, grenades, kicks and punches to women being treated like objects, and the kind of object you dont even value bacause you think you can just buy another one if the current one breaks, supporting character’s stories that took over as much screen time, if not more, than the main leads, an exaggerated amount of singing and dancing (was this supposed to be a musical??), and the list goes on.
So yeah, I liked the female lead and the main leads romance but this is definitely not worth the time. Maybe watch it once for the reasons I just stated, but for sure I would not re-watch it nor recommend anyone to do it.
This is not the first time I watch a thai drama with this kind of plot, but I am still finding this one interesting. Hope it keeps up this pace until the end and does not become boring or too over the top.
Not possible for me to watch. 1Fichier says file deleted. File factory downloading at snail speed. Download time…
Use a premium link generator and the downloads will be a lot faster. I used the following to download several episodes at the same time and each took around 10 mins to download, sometimes less. Search google for these: reevown, alldebrid and deepbrid. There are more if you search for it, but these are some of the best that you can use for free (with limitations of course) and without having to go through a bunch of ads to get the download link.
To be honest, I was expecting it to be better than this. The story is 9/10 times the female lead being the punching bag of everyone. I could not even enjoy the romance because everything else was frustrating and nothing new for someone who has watched hundreds of thai dramas.
Can you recommend another lakorn like Jao Sao Jum Yorm?I really liked the relationship the leads had in that one. For…
There are not many thai dramas with a couple that respects each other like this. I am sure you know most thai dramas have either one or all of these: violence, disrespect towards woman, forced kisses, rape, lack of trust and communication, and similar things.
I am sure I watched 1 or 2 more with a couple that trusts and respects each other, I just can’t remember any right now. If I do remember later, I will come back here and tell you the title.
It had its ups and downs, some episodes I enjoyed more than others and overall it was not an amazing drama and…
- There was never, at any moment, a love triangle. The main leads liked each other and the second male lead liked the second female lead and so did she.
- The whole character of Veronica Park managed to stay away from a lot of clichés. Although at first it looked like she would be this annoying mean character that might make things more complicated, this actually did not happen. Why?
1st - Because she liked the second male lead instead of the male lead and since the second male lead liked her too she had no reason to be jealous of the female lead. (one cliché avoided) 2nd - She actually became kind of best friends with the female lead, relying on her at times and giving good advice to her at others. She even played a big role in making the male lead forgive the female lead for lying to him. (another cliché avoided) 3rd - There are for sure more aspects to her character that stayed away from clichés but these 2 are the main ones.
- The ending was not really that interesting and I felt that the last few episodes were a little dragged BUT I liked that they kept it realistic by not making the male lead suddenly be cured by the power of love or something or by making him get a high risk surgery that is in experimental phase in some foreign country (I swear I though they would do this here too). At the end he still cannot see faces, but in those rare and short moments when he is able to see them, he runs to wherever the female lead is just so he can see HER face. (quite romantic if you ask me)
So yeah, this was far from perfect. The writers made the plot as if they saw both the male lead and us viewers as being quite dumb, especially in the beginning. But the things mentioned above still made this worth watching at least one time.
It had its ups and downs, some episodes I enjoyed more than others and overall it was not an amazing drama and it was nothing new really, it used a lot of clichés BUT it managed to be different in some aspects that I will spoil below:
The whole Abyss thing was kind of messy and needed more thought into it, but since I liked the cast and the romance was good enough for my standards, I was able to more or less ignore it’s faults.

Rated it 7.5/10
