Yup. The handsome cowboy is a thai drama that unfortunately I will never forget. When I started watching it I thought it would be a sweet love story and when he cheated on her...several times...without regretting it and shamelessly promising he would not do it again and then cheat on her again...nope, I dropped it right there and to be honest, until this day it was the only drama I rated 1/10.

For that same reason, I hate cheating so much, especially when they are already married, I do not have the guts to watch this. I like the casting and I am sure they did a great performance here, but I just dont think I will be able to stomach it and watch it until the end.

I don’t know if you have watched it yet or not but for me, I saw the main characters in a better light in the first season. This one made me feel disappointed on both main characters, in the sense that I expected their love to have a stronger foundation. Also, for some reason I felt they did not have as much chemistry here compared to the first part, I dont know, I just would not put my hand on fire for their love.

What do you mean the actress is different from part 1?? It is the same actress. Unless you meant the character that she is playing. That you feel the personality is not the same or something. But the actress is definitely the same one.

Yup. HORRible would be the perfect word to describe that first episode. Lol
It did not get much better after and this is nowhere near the same level as the first part. I dont regret watching it, I think....but if I did not, I would not have regretted not watching it either.

Exactly. In the end I did not feel their love had a strong foundation, and I am afraid that if they did not learn their lesson (if this was real of course) then in the future more problems would come. Unfortunately I could see them as an older married couple with grown up children, being just like Napa and Pope. Him falling for a younger "sweet" girl and cheating, and her going crazy with jealousy and revenge. I legit believe if they were crazy enough to make a 3rd season 20 years later, this would be the plot.

Ok. So it did not get as bad as I was afraid. He never actually cheated on her and they never split up, almost, but didn't. Still, this is just not worth it. I did not like the plot. It was not as interesting as the first season and it was definitely frustrating to watch. I also did not like that the male lead forced himself on her again. If it was not bad enough he had raped her once, he had to do it after they are married too. He could have just hugged her and tried to calm her down and talk when he took her back to the room, he did not have to force himself on her when she was in such a fragile state. And the ending was the typical thai cliché with guns, deaths, people going crazy, repenting, everyone is happy and everything is as if nothing ever happened.... I am sorry, but that is NOT how real life works, even in Thailand.

I could say so much more but I don’t think this is worth a detailed review. Watch it, don’t watch it. Its your decision. But if you decide to not watch it, you wont be losing anything really.

And this my friends, is how you completely ruin a drama. The first episode felt more like watching a horror movie than anything else, so if you dont feel comfortable with scenes that are a little on the scary side, you better not watch it. Then the story itself just felt like a drag from the previous one, with the return of old characters, and the adition of new ones that really should not have been created in the first place.

I have watched 7 out of 10 episodes so far and Im getting really frustrated and getting really bad vibes, and if what I think might happen, really happens, then yeah, this season would definitely have ruined any good feelings I had for the first one. Although not my favourite, the first season had an interesting story, and with all its faults, I was able to keep watching. This one feels like a torture most of the time.

I took a break, I needed one, but I will probably watch the other 3 episodes in the next few hours. Once I am done I will come back to spoil it a little bit. Might save some people from the pain this is causing me so far. UGH - . -

If you can ignore the obvious lack of effort put into this, then you will be able to enjoy it. The story itself is not bad, but there are several things that look sloppy and make this look like it was filmed 50 years ago, not in 2008, and I am not talking about the video quality. You will be able to understand once you watch it.

This is a good movie but be warned that the main focus of the movie is working hard for your dreams and not romance. There is romance but it is very subtle.

Oh ok. Thank you for telling me. That makes a lot more sense. And Im not saying the the main actor was not chosen for being previously in BL dramas, they might have chosen him for his popularity between BL fans. What bugged me is that people were going to the extreme, like leaving a 1/10 stars review for the single fact of this not being BL. That does not seem fair and might stop other people from watching thinking this must be really bad (I didnt watch it so I have no idea about that tho).

Yup, like Siane said, it airs every friday, only once a week. I hate that about dramas from Taiwan. They only air 1 episode per week so it takes several months for a drama to finish airing even if it has less than 20 episodes. :(

She is the father’s daughter. He was married before and the wife died from the same cancer that the female lead got near the end. At that time he was already cheating on his wife (the female lead’s real mother) with the woman that is shown to us as her mother but that turns out to be not related to her at all. Also the reason why she treated the female lead worse than her other children. I said worse, cause she was far from being a great mother even to her real children.

Yeah, that is what I meant by the things that were not explained. But since this was so short you can let go of those things and just imagine what might have happened that caused him to come back to the past in the first place. If this was longer and I had been following the story for several episodes, then I would probably have felt frustrated if they did not explain these things until the end. But like I said, this was short and cute, so one can just imagine everything else.

Lol, could’t say it better. She was legit the only highlight for me in this drama.

34 episodes long and somehow the writers were still able to make the ending feel rushed and with a lot of things that seemed to imply something was going to happen next, but it never did.

I don’t know, the pacing just felt off and it was almost like a 90 degrees turn between the second last and the last episode. The drama was a rollercoaster but not in a good sense. The plot was frustrating, then not so much, then frustrating again, so frustrating that I felt like dropping it, then it was not so frustrating again. The main characters were hard to like, although you can kind of understand considering their background and childhood how each of them turned out to have that personality.

For me the only highlight was the mother. She did great at playing crazy. Yeah, maybe she went crazy at some point trying to disconnect from the harsh reality, but for me, since her character is first introduced, you get the feeling that she is not really crazy, she is just really good at playing crazy and using it to get her way. Her character also stayed away from a huge cliché, I am sure you know what I am talking about.

And that’s it. I was able to finish it because I watched it while it was airing and because I forced myself to watch just so I could know the ending, but I would not re-watch it.

Next season?

Yeah, I have seen these same actors act together as a couple in another drama and was kinda disappointed with the story. But here I am not finding it boring and their acting is on point. And although I do not agree with what they are doing and would never do the same, I can see where they are coming from. Both their partners are the definition of controlling. They have their lives all planed out likes its their own. Sure, when you get married its like you become one person, but you still have individual needs and likes and dislikes and your own plans so I can feel their frustration.

I have not watched it and most likely wont but I got kinda tilted that people are giving this 1/10 reviews and complaining in the comment section about the lack of BL. Like what? Where does it even say it has BL? The tag clearly says Bromance, there is no BL or Gay tag so I dont get all the surprise/disappointment. If you want to watch something just because it has BL, then there is a bunch of other dramas out there, it is unfair to give biased reviews and comments just because a drama does not contain something that it never advertised to have. That is like watching a horror movie and complaining there was no happy ever after because everyone died. Yeah, ok, maybe there was one scene in the trailer that kind hinted at BL, but that was one scene in the mid of several other scenes that proved the opposite.

So yeah, that was my little runt about biased reviews/comments. I hope I did not offend anyone.

I have watched the first 2 episodes and it is not as bad as I thought it would be. If it was a japanese or thai drama with the same plot, then the main leads would have been sleeping together in the first 5 minutes of the first episode. Although obviously they are getting into a morally wrong relationship, I can put up with it if they dont stay together with their partners for too long and come clean at some point and definitely do not marry their partners, if one or both are married, then thats it for me. I see it as whole worse betrayal when the cheating involves married people and also, if they like each other it is not fair for either them or their partners to start a marriage like that. It is pretty irresponsible actually. So yeah, I hope no one gets married and that they don’t take until the last episode to clean up the mess they are getting into.
