The back and forth made all of their feelings seem shallow and surprisingly, the one character I thought would be the shallowest with the way he was introduced and with his flirtyness, was actually the one who ended up having the most genuine feelings and being the most honest once he figured them out. I know the characters are teenagers but still, it gets tiring. If this was longer I might have dropped it.
For me this was touchingly boring. I have seen other dramas with similar stories that were able to pull me in, make me laugh, make me cry, make me feel angry at the characters actions, but this one just felt like a pain to watch. I really could not get into the story, much less the romance between the leads. I had it on hold for a long time before I decided to start watching it because from the trailer I could already feel I would not like it that much, I was right.
I mean, maybe you will like it, it just wasn’t the case for me.
Thanks a lot!!! I think i'll pass watching this. according to many reviews, the story was not too cute as well.
You’re welcome. If you want a cute story, there are still a lot of jdramas and jmovies that have it, just be sure to skim through the comments and check the tags so you won’t have any bad surprises.
Unfortunately this is the reality with Chinese series nowadays. Money over quality. I've read the longer the serie…
I know, right? I like chinese dramas but I cannot like them as much as kdramas because they are just too draggy, with too many characters and some stories seem like they are going around in circles. Of course there are exceptions and I have some chinese dramas in my top list of dramas, but in general this is what happens, sadly. And I also watched all out of love but had to skip around a lot, it was very draggy.
Am i the only one that missed the moment where Goo Na Ra magically suddenly fell in love with Cha Yool?
Nope. And the mind reading thing was not explored well either. Another drama that suffered from good idea/bad execution. It reminds me of the cooking show Master Chef, some contestants have pretty good ideas for dishes but then the execution does not go well and they end up presenting a dish that is awful.
This was not a disappointment, but just because I already had low expectations when I started watching it. It was lacking in many aspects, including the exploration of the mind reading thing, the characters personalities, feelings and actions, the story itself. Of course I have seen worse, but this one is really far from the better ones I have watched. I gave it a 5 and that is already a pretty good rating because it is labeled as "It’s okay" and honestly I am not even sure if it is.
you sad the right think! this season got us not much to see rather the main couple went around in circles und…
With a different cast and as many episodes as season 1 and 2 together, this is almost a story on its own and someone who did not watch the first 2 seasons will basically just miss the main female lead’s story before she moved in with the Hans, because they recycled a lot of the clichés they used in the first 2 seasons. I still liked it but I did skip a lot of scenes and I would honestly not re-watch it.
I watched it raw. I did not want to wait for subs and my understanding of japanese is good enough that I could understand most of what was happening. I watched it in the openload link someone posted in one of the comments below.
I liked it and disliked it at the same time. I will try to explain why I felt this way without giving spoilers.
I understand that when you have a 46 episodes long drama that starts with the main leads already loving each other and being in a relationship and with 2 previous seasons to back their story, you have to come up with all kinds of plot devices to keep the story going...but I felt that it only made the story as a all lose its value. They added all kinds of frustrating cliché "events" and cliché characters. At the end you are left with the feeling that the story went around in circles just to get not much ahead of where it was in the first episode.
The ending was not satisfying and both the writing and acting (at times) gave an amateur vibe and made me feel like maybe I’m too old to enjoy this (I’m 25) and that the target public are teenagers.
That said, I did enjoy some parts of it so I cannot say I completely disliked it. Also, I have watched the other 2 seasons a few years ago but I think I liked the actors chosen to play the main leads here better.
Yeah, I definitely didn't expect that sad ending. I actually think that it could be argued that Qi You (it'sbeen…
I completely understand. This comment was posted 2 years ago, meanwhile I learned to deal with chinese dramas tragic ending by imagining the ending the way I want or try to see it in a positive light.
I'll just recommend you to pick it back up when you feel like it, because it really is worth it. (also you see…
I did watch all the episodes, I set it as dropped with 30 episodes because that was around where I gave up and skimmed through the other episodes. Even tho it had more romance it was still not even near to what I was expecting and from what I remember (I watched it 4 months ago so I am not sure) the female lead dies at the end.
There seems to be a second season coming up so maybe I will give it a try once it airs.
Should I tell this? I'll give it a try lol. I have just finished Battle of Changsa.
There are a lot of sad events and some people die as expected in this kind of drama but if by happy ending you mean the main leads are alive and together at the end, then yes, it is a happy ending.

Why not? It is fully subbed on youtube, or at least it was when I watched it, and if you like dramas about this period, like Battle of Changsa, then you might also like this one. But the stories are completely different. Battle of Changsa is more about war and is more dramatic and tragic. This one is a little lighter and has more romance, although it also has its bits of drama and tragic stories.
This was far from perfect but still pretty good. Although I read some spoilers and thought I was ready for what was coming, in the first episode I was already suffering just knowing what would happen, and yes, I still cried, even when I knew it would happen and when it would happen.
But my biggest complain is not even that. It is that although this is how it usually goes and although I know we don’t really decide who to fall in love with, this was one of the hardest love trianges I have had to swallow. Not only because of the dumb, selfish and frustrating decisions made by a certain character, including the super bad timing, but also because the end game was not the one I wanted or even the one I thought was the best for everyone.
The truth is that for a relationship to last love is not enough. Looks don’t even matter here since they are both good looking. But between a person who loves you and sometimes supports you behind the scenes, but that also hurts you, is not honest with his feelings and keeps pushing and pulling and has the worst timing to decide to go for the final pulling, I would take the caring, always there, less selfish and less arrogant male lead. In a real relationship the second would last longer. Also, if there is something I learned as I grew from a teenager to a young adult is that relationships that start as friends and that become something more because you learn to love each other are a lot healthier and last longer than the typical teenage love story with falling at first sight and failing to see the huge amount of faults in the person we like. These are the kind of relationships that usually have a lot of arguments, cheating and even violence because "love"(if it can even be called love) is the only thing present, there is no respect, putting the other person’s interests in front of mine, being caring, nothing like that.
So yeah, my rant is over. This was one of the love triangles I least agree with and since it impacted my overall enjoyment, I gave it a 6.5. The music and voices were pretty good. Not great (the music, not the voices) but pretty good. The voices were better than the choice of music in general.
Full honesty the trailer is pretty crappy, but the show itself is actually decently good. Not outstanding by any…
Exactly. Like I said there were other dramas with CGI issues and not the best acting but I found the plot interesting. It is not that this one is boring, I just don’t find it interesting enough to keep watching.
I imagine that the story does get better and that the 2 episodes I watched were not enough to guess how the story is going to progress, but with so many dramas that I have watched and so many that I plan to watch or am watching currently, I felt that I would not lose anything if I dropped this one.
And I am also guessing from the opening/ending (that are always full of spoilers) this is not going to have a happy ending, and if it does, it will be after much pain and I just finished watching a drama where the leads spend most time apart thinking it is the best for the other person, when it’s not, so I really can’t handle another drama like that right now.
I mean, maybe you will like it, it just wasn’t the case for me.
