Lee Jong Suk is maybe the only actor in dramaland that finish his dramas no matter what because i love his presence…
I have watched 4 episodes so far and I am not really getting into the story. I hear your voice was also one of his dramas that I liked the most. I wonder if I will be able to finish it, I keep watching other dramas and this one keeps being left for later.
I cannot think of another japanese drama with the same theme. It is just that I have watched a lot that are very dark but the stories were different. I have watched quite a few japanese dramas lately and noticed this. I usually watch korean and chinese dramas more often and sometimes thai dramas and I have noticed japanese dramas are a little darker compared to dramas from other countries.
I am happy with the ending, maybe that's what i was wishing for..sorry its didn't reach your expectations.
I am glad you liked it. I did not say I did not like the ending. I just did not like the female lead’s back and forth and the writing was not able to keep me hooked to the story. I did not have any expectations when I started watching it, but I have watched hundreds of dramas and this one did not stand out from the crowd so I feel that even if I had not watched it I would have not missed anything.
I finally finished it and I don't know how to feel about it I didn't like the romance in the drama but I have…
Yeah, the romance was not the best but that was because in this kind of story it was a side plot and the story could have worked even without it, that is why it did not feel as exciting as in other historical dramas. It still had more romance than the movie tho. And the story and acting were good enough to forgive the not so amazing romance.
If you like korean historical dramas, this is a pretty good one. Not my favourite but one of the ones with the best writting. I watched the movie a few months before this aired and wondered if the drama would be as good. They were able to keep the story interesting enough for 16 episodes and there was more romance than in the movie. Don’t watch this expecting it to be romance focused tho. Yes, there is romance, there are several kisses between the main leads, but the story is not focused on their romance. The romance is just in the right amount for this kind of drama and even if there was none, the story would not really suffer because of that.
So if you are looking for a nice sageuk this is a good option, but if you are craving a lot of romance, maybe you should not watch this atm or you might not see it’s worth just because it does not have as much romance as you expected. Watch it for the story, not for the romance and you won’t be disappointed because you will get both.
Wow, just wow. When I first started watching this I quickly realized that the plot was very different from what I imagined, especially after reading the summary. As episodes went by the story went further away from what I originally thought it would be. Was it a bad thing? It depends. I watched this with my sister and she did not like it, she even said it was a waste of time.
I, although I did find it a little boring at times, was able to see the bigger picture and instead of being disappointed because the story was not what I expected when I first started watching it, I was surprised by how smart it was and at how much it was predictable in things that were not so important just so you would not notice the pieces of the puzzle that were there the entire time and that only started to fit together after the big reveal.
I don’t think I ever laughed and cried so much while watching the same drama. This definitely pulled at my heart strings. And my sister saw it as a "waste of time" because honestly she is one of the least sensible people I know. She could have a person crying desperately in pain in front of her and she would keep a poker face. I, on the other hand am quite a crybaby so I would probably join that person and cry with her/him. Lol
I don’t want to say it is a masterpiece but it definitely had some smart writing.
As a movie, sure, why not? But I agree with what most people said in the comments. In real life , which single girl living alone would bring a complete stranger home no matter how good looking he is? He could be a thief, a rapist or worse - a serial killer. And the ending is kind of tilting and I know I would definitely not react the same way in real life, at least not that easily and not that fast.
Kinda upset that we do not get more moments of them being in an official relationship, instead of running in circles…
Yeah, me too. But I am able to forgive it since they did not give us an open ending. I would be so mad if they ended it without showing us who she picked. I knew he was the end game since the beginning but I just wanted some kind of confirmation.
I would not really tag this as Romance, Slight Romance would be more accurate. This movie is more about youth and working hard for your goals rather than the typical japanese school romance. I liked the movie just the way it is although I usually crave something romance focused. It stood out from the crowd. If you have no expectations, especially related to romance, then you will probably enjoy it as much as me.
I think the concept of this drama was really interesting and I liked it. But I confess I would have changed some things in the plot and I would have made the ending a little longer so some people would not be left confused.
I started watching this on TV with my sister and with my mother close by and we regretted it. Not only is the movie and romance between the main leads weak, there are some scenes that could be considered sexual for some. We gave up on the movie at that scene but from what I read, good thing we did. It would have been a waste of time to keep watching it.
I just finished watching episode 20. There is a facebook page by one of the people that were subbing the episodes on youtube. She did proper english subs but her yt account got deleted so she posted the other episodes on facebook. She uploaded episode 20 yesterday. Search Well Intended Love on facebook and the name of the subber is Oompa Loofa.
This was pretty entertaining. Usually I find contemporary chinese dramas pretty boring with all the draggy plotlines, way too much screen time given to supporting characters and clichés executed badly. This one had none of that.
It was entertaining from episode 1 and it only got better in the next episodes. Yeah, sure, there were some clichés, but they were executed well, there was a plot twist (actually, maybe 2) and there was a lot of fan service going on. By fan service I mean that we got to see a lot of the things we would have loved to see in some of our favourite dramas but that never happened. For those reasons, I gave this a 9 since it has been one of the best chinese dramas I have seen, in terms of enjoyment.
Honestly I expected the songs to be a lot better. The debut one was a little better than the others, but still not up to the standards that a music movie should have. When I read the manga I tried to imagine in my head what the songs would sound like and even in my imagination it was better than this. The female lead’s voice is not bad but it does not feel special either. If you never read the manga you might like it more than me. I did not have high expectations or anything but thought it would be better than it was so I was still a little disappointed at how forgettable the movie was.
After watching the first episode I almost dropped it because of the mother. She annoyed me to no end with her yelling and the way she treated the kids, mostly the son, always shoving him, pulling his arm and hitting his head...borderline child abuse.
She yelled at the kids instead of sitting down and having a normal conversation with them. No wonder when she asked her daughter why she skipped school the kid stayed quiet. Who would feel like being honest with someone who is yelling at you like that, you will be scared the person will snap and hit you once you tell the truth. Also, as someone who loves animals, I felt very angry when she just grabbed the dog and said she would just abandon him some place far from home.
I am quite conflicted about this drama. It is a nice drama and there was a lot of things that I liked but it did make me feel bored very often, probably the only time I felt excited about something was for the baby’s gender reveal since the doctor made it a suspenseful moment. Lol
It is a nice drama, but more of a drama to watch with family than one that is exciting or that you want to binge-watch.
I was liking it so much, which was a surprise since I rarely like japanese dramas as much as I like most korean and chinese dramas, but I have to admit that the last few episodes were frustrating and the last episode felt rushed and left me disappointed. I think they could have done a better job at wrapping up things.
I liked the concept of the roles being switched with the female lead being intelligent and kinda cold while the male lead was nice, too nice for his own good. For that reason I do not regret watching this and I did feel it was one of the japanese dramas I enjoyed the most. Just wish those last episodes went in a different direction so I could give this a higher rating.
