I more or less liked it at first but then about halfway through everything went in a direction that I have seen way too many times, that is frustrating and boring to watch and that did nothing for me really. If they had kept it the way they were doing the first half I would have liked this a lot more, but they completely changed the focus of the story to something I personally thought was very cliché and draggy and in my opinion ruined the story and buried it in the mountain of so many other thai dramas.
he doesn't actually divorce her till the end but about halfway through the drama something happens so the wife…
Ok, got it. She cheated and he did not divorce just so they could do it once she wakes up, yup, its more acceptable, although still a little frustrating. What if she never woke up from the coma?! The divorce would never happen. Poor female lead. I might give it a try now that the relationship between the main leads is not as morally bad as I thought. I can’t stand relationships that begin while one or both people are still in a relationship with someone else, especially if they are married. Yikes.

Thank you for replying. I dont mind the spoilers since I have not even decided if I am going to watch it or not. If he only divorces his wife at the end, the only way I am ok with him getting together with the female lead while still married is if his wife is cheating on him and ran away with some other man or something...or if she dies, but then he would not really need to divorce her. Lol Otherwise I can only see it as an unfair situation for the female lead since one way or another he carries the title of a married man. ;( So yeah, I dont mind more spoilers about what happens with the wife that causes her to not be present. Even if I decide to watch it, it will probably be only in a few months since I have other dramas to watch first and by then I will probably have forgotten any spoilers. :)
I am trying to decide whether to watch this or not. Give me some spoilers. Until when does he stay married to his wife and does he get together with the female lead while married or after getting a divorce?
On netflix! https://www.netflix.com/title/81087124
Maybe its not available in my country yet because when I clicked the link it took me to the netflix featured page and the drama was nowhere to be seen. :(
totally agree with his personality. it was nice to see how his personality was consistent throughout and he didn't…
And I liked that he knew when to be responsible and mature even if most of the time he was kind of childish and did not know how to express himself, that just made him more charming. It has been some time since I developed a crush on a dramaland male lead, I have come across a lot of arrogant jerk CEOs.
True. I think it was the first drama of the kind that I watched. At first I was not even sure if I was liking it or hating it but I binge-watched it and re-watched it less than a year later so I guess I did like it. XD
It is definitely not a drama I can give a high rating and say it is a masterpiece, because it isnt, it is actually more of a parody, but one that was well made and that keeps the viewers entertained to the point they forget how ridiculous the actual plot and characters are.
Sorry, I cannot remember the exact details since this was a drama I dropped and that I have watched half a year ago but I think the mother dies and the other characters were not that happy either, the ending was not satisfying, something like that.
There are other taiwanese dramas with similar stories and work enviornment yet, usually they are too long, have too many supporting characters stealing screen time, have a lot of clichés and the characters are a lot of the times one dimensional. NOT THIS ONE.
This is 16 episodes long which I think was a smart choice as making it longer could make it seem draggy. There are no evil characters or typical clichés (well, maybe some, there are always some, but not too many), the characters and story are pretty realistic compared to similar dramas and I especially liked the male lead’s character. They made him be a certain way while he was in high school and then made him more mature and responsible as an adult, but still kept his personality and we could see it was still the same person from 10 years back, which made him as a character very realistic. As we become adults we all mature a little and become more responsible (or at least some of us do) but we are still a version on the person we were when we were 15.
That said, I really enjoyed this drama. It is not amazing or one of my favourites but it is definitely one of the better ones I have watched coming from Taiwan and I will definitely remember it.
The trailer looks really interesting But from the synopsis of the drama its sound really heavy and sad drama.Any…
It is not as heavy as it might seem, but it is not that light either. It starts on a sad and tragic note since like the synopsis says - both main leads lose their spouses. But then it gets a little less more dramatic and has plently of romantic and even funny scenes. Later it takes a turn again but I cant say much since you said no spoilers. It is overall a serious drama but not a tragic one, well, not as much as some chinese dramas I have watched.
This series started out interesting. I really loved the interactions between the leads. However, in steps this…
Exactly. I was really liking the first half or so and all seemed so good, but I wondered how they would keep the story going for like 20 more episodes. I did not like the way they stretched the story. It was overused and frustrating and not realistic at all...and it got my blood boiling.
I was able to finish it because I started watching it while it was still airing and was over episode 20 when they were subbing the last episodes. If I had given it a try later and tried to binge watch it, I would have dropped it. The first half or so was pretty interesting but then they added a lot of frustrating things that are so overused and that made it hard to keep watching. Also, the writers are kind of cruel, there was not a single character in this that did not suffer.
The way it ended was not really satisfying and it was nothing new but at least they redeemed themselves a little since I was seeing it going in a direction I did not like, and although they did not change the path completely, the result was a little different from what expected and less unfortunate.
The back and forth made all of their feelings seem shallow and surprisingly, the one character I thought would be the shallowest with the way he was introduced and with his flirtyness, was actually the one who ended up having the most genuine feelings and being the most honest once he figured them out. I know the characters are teenagers but still, it gets tiring. If this was longer I might have dropped it.
For me this was touchingly boring. I have seen other dramas with similar stories that were able to pull me in, make me laugh, make me cry, make me feel angry at the characters actions, but this one just felt like a pain to watch. I really could not get into the story, much less the romance between the leads. I had it on hold for a long time before I decided to start watching it because from the trailer I could already feel I would not like it that much, I was right.
I mean, maybe you will like it, it just wasn’t the case for me.
Thank you for explaining. ;)
