I was kinda disappointed. I have seen a lot of thai dramas with a similar plot but that are able to keep the story interesting. I liked the actors and characters they played and I liked the first few episodes but then I felt the story just followed the same script of every other lakorn until the end and including the last episode, but did it without keeping it interesting enough for the viewers.
If you like this kind of plot with contract marriage or fake relationship that turns real then you might still want to give this one a try but I personally did not think the story itself stood out from every other thai drama with a similar plot.
The romance is not the main focus here, although it is present. The main focus is the relationship between parents and children. There is comedy and drama and other things added to the mixture. The drama follows the male lead’s life which is a different perspective from most dramas in general that have the female lead as the first main character. Not my favourite or anything but it was an interesting watch and it is probably worth watching at least once.
Damn, barely any info and no comments, well, until now. XD I have not watched it because it does not look like my type of drama but if you want to watch it, let me know and I can send you the link.
I had so many good things to say about it until the last episode came and destroyed me. To start with the fake kisses tag is misleading as I think there were some real kisses and if I saw wrong and they were fake, at least they looked more real than many other kisses I have seen in thai dramas.
Second, the male lead was neither perfect nor hateful, he was an ok male lead with his faults and weaknesses but you could tell his love was sincere.
Third and this is what caused me to hate the last episode, is that although I did not dislike the male lead, this gave me a HUGE second male lead syndrome (I’m not talking about his brother so maybe its a third male lead syndrome?). Vee was one of the best "second" male leads I have seen, especially in thai dramas, he was everything you could wish for in a man but portrayed in a very realistic manner. Also, I felt he was more attractive than the male lead but that could have been because I fell for his character.
I will not say anymore because I don’t want to spoil the fun for you but never has a second male lead syndrome been so self-destructive to me.
The last ten episodes or so felt a little draggy to me but not too much, just what you would expect since this was 30 episodes. I am not saying not to watch it but try not to fall for the second male lead, and please, have a box of tissues by your side during the last episode. Ugh, did I make it too obvious? Sorry, I guess I do have to mark this as spoiler now. RIP
Why the rating is getting lower and lower ? I'm sad
7 for a kdrama is considered a bad rating. Kdramas are the dramas that have the highest ratings here on MDL, any drama below 7, even 7.5 can put off a lot of people. The drama also finished airing not that long ago so I can predict that in the next months the rating is going to get even lower and probably a lot of people will never give this a chance because of that. A lot of good dramas are not given a chance because they are underrated, but to be honest, I personally don’t think that is the case for this one. It is the kind of drama that is not everyone’s cup of tea.
I can understand why you feel sad tho because I have watched dramas before that were rated below 7 and that I really liked, same as I have watched dramas that have a rating of almost 9 and that I thought were the biggest waste of time ever. The ratings end up being the result of what most people think, but honestly they are not always accurate since there are people who easily go around giving 9s and 10s and people that did not like 1 scene or character on the drama and decide to give a rating of 1. XD
I can see why some people liked it but I can understand why a lot were not happy with the drama as a whole. Why? I don’t really want to spoil it for you but a HUGE part of the drama is based on a misunderstanding. No one likes misunderstandings to begin with, so imagine a misunderstanding that drags through almost the entire drama. I actually did not buy what the writers were trying to sell me as I got all the hints I needed from the first few episodes, which made me feel even more frustrated at how this misunderstanding dragged for so long.
I cannot blame the actors or the characters they were playing, even the not so good CGI I can stand, what I cannot stand is bad writing and frustrating plot lines that make you wonder if watching the drama was even worth your time. I probably am not even half as mad as some people might have been as I skipped A LOT of things and did not have any big expectations after the first episode, which I personally found very bland.
But hey, just because I did not like it or because other people are leaving negative comments, that does not mean you wont like it. We all like different things, that is the beauty of it, so go ahead and still give it a try. But after the first few episodes if you are still not getting into it, then it is probably a good idea to just fast forward or drop it so you wont feel frustrated for "wasting" your time.
Haha i think hard what is this about. Choi deeri baby i guess you meant lol.
Yeah, between so many time loops she never had the chance to give birth to the baby. At the end I was like WHAT, she is still pregnant? But then I thought about it and I guess it made some sense since the present time was probably even earlier in the year compared to the day before the last time loop happened (many days after Lee Roo Da’s death).
The last time loop took him back to a few months in the past, so the present we saw at the end was not that far in the future from the present (now past lol) shown in the first episode.
happy ending? do all the guys stay alive at end? do the couples end up together?
I dropped it at some point and I rarely drop dramas cause I dont like leaving them without knowing how it ends. But I was in the mood for romance and the romance was pretty much non existent with the main leads sharing little screen time and it was mostly in the first half so I did not even feel like forcing myself to keep watching and just gave up on it. But from what I read, the female lead dies.
Not the best but definitely one of the good ones of 2018. It had its flaws and lack of logic but in an entertaining and acceptable way. That is not an easy thing to do. Btw, isn’t that baby ever going to be born?? XD
Only people who have finished watching will understand.
I honestly could not pity him even after the last episode, he was dumb and acted like an idiot for most of the…
Yeah, that is why I said he was not the worst. But even if he was young and had his internal conflicts that I totally understand, he was too immature compared to the female lead so I am not surprised they faced so many struggles in their relationship.
yikes, I had to honestly force myself to finish this. There were almost no sweet romantic scenes, there were mostly overly dramatic ones. Too many deaths too. I will definitely not watch it again and I would not recommend it either.
I watched it until the end and it’s not like I disliked it but I did not love it either. The female lead was too eccentric for my taste and although she redeemed herself later, she did lie to him more than once and some of the things about her that made him fall in love were not true at all so the doubt remains: did he really fall in love with her or did he fall in love with who he thought she was?
I almost did not watch it because the synopsis and some comments I read made it seem boring. I thought the story in the farm would be meh when it was actually the other way around. The first half, when they were at the farm, was what I enjoyed the most. The second half had it’s moments but it was not as interesting and had too many clichés. Also, the lack of real kisses was not expected, for a moment I thought I was watching a channel 3 lakorn. But the main leads had good chemistry and looking at the BTS the actors playing them also seemed to have a good relationship in real life.
Overall it was a good drama, I am glad I gave it a chance.
