Title Chef Fang Spoiler
Do you remember which episode that was? I know it was when he was talking to his study companion
I just watched that scene. It’s in episode 16. He and his study companion are coming back from the restaurant where he went to learn how to cook a dish that is good when you have a cold since his wife is sick and he wants to cook for her. They see a fight outside the restaurant, a woman hitting her husband cause he is having an affair, and the study companion says it’s normal for a man to have 3 or 4 wives and asks him if his wife would react the same way if he had a concubine. That is when the male lead says those words. I personally was also pleasantly surprised by them.

Where did you watch it? I read it was on Dramafever but since it is now gone, do you know where I can watch it?
Yeah, it was hard for me to find a way to watch it but I eventually found it. Just had to watch 2 or 3 episodes without subtitles in the SBS website and the others I was able to watch with subtitles although some were out of sync. Thank you anyway for replying. :)

To all the confused ppl out there, Xiao Tan and the 8th Prince has no intimate scenes with each other as up to…
Now that I have finished watching it, they actually only merge in episode 29. Before that there are just some vitality transfers that allow the 8th Prince to see some of MLC memories.
On The Eternal Love Season 2 Dec 13, 2018
The first half made me think this would be better than the first one but in the second half there were a lot of politics and less romance compared to the first season. The ending made it obvious that there would be a 3rd season but it was more satisfying than the ending of the 1st one. So overall both seasons were good with its differences.
On Love at First Hate Dec 12, 2018
Just as I thought, it did not get much better. Even by the end I was not convinced that their love was genuine. Also the characters Ploy and the female lead’s mother were extremely annoying. I will probably forget about this one in no time. Nothing memorable.

I think at that time what mattered to most women must have been “as long as he loves me the most” rather than…
Sure. I have to think about it for a while since I have not watched a lot of historical dramas recently. What kind of drama do you like? And do you only watch chinese dramas or also watch korean dramas?

Title Dear Prince
It was different from what I expected. I did not see the supernatural tag before I started watching it. It was the typical idol drama with a twist that has been used before. Basically I liked it but I didn’t love it. It was better than most idol dramas I have seen but not as good as some of the dramas that I really liked and would re-watch.

Exactly. That is why I love it when I see a historical drama with the male lead doing his best so he will only marry the female lead, not empty promises but actually only marrying her and no one else. A faithful man back then was even more valuable than nowadays, since back then it was normal to have concubines and now the norm is being married to one person only. In some countries it is even a crime to marry someone if you are already married, which I think is the case in my country, not sure to be honest. I kinda wonder how they came up with that law. I guess they thought monogamy would decrease the crime rates, cause jealousy is one of the main reasons for murder. They might have also based their decision on what the Bible says about how a man should be husband of one wife (that means having hundreds of concubines is definitely not ok). And my comment just turned out to be completely random, right? XD

He doesn't have any kids in drama. His marriage wasn't from love. His wife knows (the whole time), that he doesn't…
Lol, what kind of marriage is that? That is legit a marriage on paper only. Yeah, it kinda makes sense, have felt that way before too. Thank you for explaining it. :)

Btw, is their marriage only on paper or do they sleep together although he doesn’t love her? That would change a great deal the way I would look at the affair.

Usually dramas that are based in real events are really good. Maybe because it is easier to relate to the characters and understand the way they feel when you know what you are watching actually happened and someone actually went through those things. As I said, I do not want to watch this right now but who knows, maybe someday. I do like both main actors and the cover does appeal to me. I guess the female lead being a singer dresses really nicely? And the male lead, tbh, would look good even wearing rags. XD
On Granting You a Dreamlike Life Dec 7, 2018
I have to be honest. I was bored most of the time. I actually thought the last 10 episodes were better than the first 30 episodes. I felt it was a waste. I felt the story dragged a lot for at least half of the drama and then picked up the pace and just ended. The romance in the past took too long to happen and the one in the present day was not given enough time to convince me. Also, there were a lot of things I felt that were not explained properly or that lacked logic. I honestly feel this could have been so much better. I will probably forget I even watched it, it was not a memorable one for me. What a shame!

I do get your point. And I agree that people who love each other should be together. I disagree that marriage is not sacred. The whole point of marriage is for 2 people who truly love each other to live together as if they are 1 person. The problem is exactly that since people do not see marriage as sacred, they use it for business deals, they decide on it without giving it a second though and forget that marrying someone means you will be spending your life together with that person. I do understand that we are talking about a different time when arranged marriages were very common and the people getting married were actually the ones who had no part in the decision. And I am not blaming them for their decisions, I am just saying that I personally am not in the mood to watch this drama although I believe it’s probably a good one. I get emotionally involved with a lot of the dramas I watch and knowing how painful their love story is and how it ends, I would rather not watch it.

Yeah, probably. They just accepted the way things were as it was the reality then but most of them were unhappy. Even if they knew their husbands loved them the most, no woman would be happy knowing her husband is sleeping with other women and having kids with them. We humans don’t mind sharing a lot of things, but our partner is not one of them. Even if at the time women knew only this reality that a man could have many wives, that was completely normal, in their heart they might have felt it was not fair. And we see that in historical dramas most death and tragedies happened because of women jealousy.
I like historical dramas but I always feel frustrated watching this kind of thing. But I can’t stop watching them. >.<

Although it is a loveless marriage, they are still married. It would be one thing if he divorced her and then started a relationship with another woman, but not while they are still married, that is still an affair. I read the real story and know that they committed suicide together, so yeah, I do not feel like willingly jumping into this train wreck no matter how good the story and actors are. Also, I just finished a drama full of accidents, misunderstandings, separations, and so on. So now I need something light, not something depressing.
On All Out of Love Dec 7, 2018
It’s hard to describe how I feel about this drama. I really liked the first 2 episodes that showed their childhood and how they grew up together through many struggles. I did enjoy the story until a certain point and I can’t say the ending was awful or anything. The actors chosen did their part well.

So what was wrong with it? Well, there was no need for 70 episodes, probably even half of it would be too much. Just to be able to make these 70 episodes, they dragged the story and went around and around and around... They overused clichés like misunderstandings, separations, accidents, and so on. I am not exaggerating when I say that almost every character was admitted to the hospital at least once. And some, particularly one that I will not name so I wont spoil it for you, was there so often that I don’t think I have enough fingers to count how many times it happened. I think there was even an episode in which that person was admitted to the hospital twice.

So, basically, I liked it but not as much as I expected. The writing turned into a train wreck just for the sake of dragging the story to make 70 episodes possible. I fast-forwarded A LOT and I can say for sure I would never re-watch this, it would be just too painful. I might re-watch some scenes with the main leads but I would never re-watch the whole thing. Also, I am not satisfied with the way the story "ended" for some characters.
On The Hymn of Death Dec 6, 2018
I know this is based on a true story and I have no doubts that it might be a great drama. I also like both main leads so it’s a shame I am not watching this but they lost me at "He is married with children, but he falls in love with Yun Shim Deok" and seeing the tags Infidelity and Tragedy make me not want to watch it even more. My morals do not allow me to enjoy romance that starts with cheating or infidelity from one or both sides and I also try to stay away from tragic endings as much as possible. Can only watch a drama that ends in tragedy once or twice a year and I think I have already used it for this year.

Just finished it and I am 100% with you. Will never watch again.
Yeah, I had it on my plan-to-watch list for a while even before it started airing and it was one of the dramas that I was waiting for thinking it would be great and go to my top kdramas of 2018, but every other kdrama I watched this year, even the ones I did not like that much, are still better than this one. I watched it because I kinda have to watch all kdramas that are airing >.<, but if I could go back in time I would not have watched it as it added 0 value to my kdrama watching experience. Ofc this is only my opinion, there are people rating this 10. Everyone likes different things.

Where can I watch it w/ Eng subs?
Weird, I am pretty sure I saw eng subs for that one, or I would not have shared it. I either saw it wrong or they were removed. Sorry.
