I liked how although this was still pretty cliché, the roles were reversed. Usually the FL is a timid virgin and the ML is a playboy. Here he is the one who has no experience while she, hurt by a past romantic relationship, plays around and avoids a serious relationship.
It would have been a total role reversal if he was the one chasing her, like FLs usually do, although technically he WAS. You know what I mean if you have watched it, can’t say more without spoilers.
Maybe I missed something because I skipped some scenes but it did not seem like there was any cheating. Her feelings…
I actually had already read that post. XD
I still think it was all one-sided although I understand feeling weirded out by him not keeping his distance. Maybe if it was the ML it would have bothered me too, but since it was a supporting character I did not mind it.
Same here, my gf wants to be done with this show. If only they release all the episodes at once, like how netflix…
They often release the last few episodes all at once, specially when they slow down the release of new episodes near the end. My guess is they will keep releasing only 1 episode for a few more days and then release eps 27-32 or 29-32 all the same day.
They drilled nail holes in some wooden pillars to hang props. The holes seem very small (as expected from nail holes) but since the building is a UNESCO World Heritage Site, it became a huge issue.
Hey, just a heads-up for anyone watching this drama, there's been a serious controversy during filming. The First…
Right at the start of the first episode they mention it so it does not seem like they are trying to hide it.
From the pictures I have seen I would barely call it damage, but being a building that is supposed to be preserved I understand how even this small amount of damage could be a problem. At least this whole situation served the purpose of creating stricter guidelines for future filming. Hopefully these new guidelines will prevent similar issues from happening.
Could easily watch a regular drama with this kind of plot but with a few changes.
Some subplots would need to change, it would need a bigger budget and better cast (not talking about the main leads or the child actress, but a lot of the actors playing supporting and guest characters were pretty bad at acting). And of course, the ending.
The idea behind this short drama is interesting and I liked the focus being on the mother-daughter relationship but it was very flawed so in a sense I am glad it was a short drama and did not take too much of my time.
Idk what is happening with kdramas lately. I went to a cooking school, having food in a drama is always a plus for me but not even I could find this enjoyable. It was just boring, bland, nothing stood out to me. I will probably forget I even watched it or what is was about in less than year.
WHAT THE RATINGS... people who want a lovely runner or queen of tears romnce should watch those series again.…
I think the lack of focus on romance was one of the issues but it was also a very niche drama. I found it funny and relatable many times because I go to the gym.
But for people that never went to the gym and have no interest in working out, some of the jokes and the focus on everything muscle related might have gone over their heads.
i shouldn't laugh but the reveal on why he broke up with her is so funny to me sorry 😭
Funny and ridiculous at the same time. At first I though he was gay and hiding it but a few episodes in it became obvious that was not the case, then I just believed he cared too much about looks, then when he said he regretted it I thought maybe he had some problem down there (which was not so far of).
When the big reveal came I was like, are you serious, just shave the rest of the hair, you would make a handsome bald man. ^^'
As someone who started going to the gym regularly about a year ago, this drama was relatable and very funny at times.
With that said, if this drama had come out before that, I would probably find it extremely boring. If you are into working out and taking care of your body, you might enjoy it but I believe for most people this will be an average kdrama at best. I’ve noticed lately a lot of kdramas are focusing on very niche plots - farming, gym, IT, and so on. Seems like writers are running out of ideas. ^^'
I found myself skipping a few of the political scenes, mostly near the end, but overall this had a nice balance between romance and political stuff. There was also some comedy thrown here and there.
And finally, I liked the way they wrapped up the drama. More often than not the ending leaves me disappointed in some way, either because they kill too many characters, leave loose ends or the ending is open, just to name a few of the issues I have encountered. But this one had a satisfying ending. ^^
Am just curious here. Am seeing comments about the dubbing being bad. My question is, is the dubbing really bad…
I just started watching but it seems a bit of both. Like it’s weird that the voice does not match the face but also the dubbing and sound effects are not that great. Not the worst I have seen, but it is a bit disappointing to see this kind of production flaw in a Bai Lu drama.
Why dub the voices of well known actors, isn’t that like shooting your own foot? And the dubbing and sound effects are not even great to make up for it.
I am giving it a chance because of Bai Lu and hopefully the plot will be interesting enough to keep me watching until the end.
Okay don't play with me now who did the ML end up with?
I watched this a while ago and while you are right and that would be the most likely and less anoying way to wrap up the drama, I remember he had a ring or something that was the same as the ML and he said it was from his ancestors so that means either the ML went on to marry and have kids or he passed it down to a nephew or someone in the family and that is how it ended up in the current day ML’s hand.
Guess it’s up to the viewers to imagine what happened in between.
