If you have looked closely at the content of the film before evaluating the acting of the FL, you have to remember…
I understand what you are saying. Sure, she does not have an easy life and that might play a role in her looking down a lot of the time.
But even when her character is happy or having fun, her eyes do not follow her mouth. Her mouth will be smiling but her eyes will look like she is bored. In romantic scenes that completely kills the mood. The male lead looks so in love while she just looks like "why not? I mean, he is rich and good looking, might as well accept him". There is no emotion. Maybe romantic scripts are not her thing.
Started well and was enjoyable most of the time but the last few episodes were a drag. And let’s be honest, the actress playing the FL was not the best choice.
I am not talking about her looks, although she does look quite plain next to Moon Sang Min, it’s her facial expressions, or lack thereof. She is playing a character that is supposed to be a pretty good actress that is just out of luck and has yet to catch her big break. But the character itself is not well played. Her eyes do not match whatever emotion her face is supposed to show. 90% of the time her character looks tired, depressed or bored, sometimes all of those together, even when she is supposed to be happy or having fun. Am I the only one who was bothered by this? ^^'
P.S. - I watched the movie The Call and thought she did a really good job there, she even won a Best Actress award for that movie, so it is not like she cannot act.
The cat is out of the bag so no, it did not end on a positive note. You might want to wait for next week’s episodes.
I agree, I don’t like it when they put stuff like that on hold until near the end of the drama but since we have to wait another week for the next episode it is annoying that we have to remember that as the last thing that happened. I would rather have her find out on episode 5 so in episode 6 we could see the aftermath. Having to wait another week is torture, but I know they do it intentionally to make us come back every week. ^^'
The fact they delayed the release of new episodes with the way episode 18 ended is so frustrating. I am as curious as the main leads to find out who that man is. ^^'
This was great. I prefer this version to the Japanese one but both made me cry like a baby. I can only watch this kind of drama once in a while or I will be too depressed.
This drama aired in January 2014, probably filmed in 2013 if not earlier. You cannot expect it to have the same…
Maybe you need to change the quality settings. I am pretty sure when I watched it a few weeks ago the quality was not that bad.
By the way, there is this Chinese drama that just finished airing that is basically the same plot as this one with a few differences, it is called Angels Fall Sometimes. You might want to check it out if you have not watched it yet.
Could have been really good if they did not write the FL as a supporting character in other people’s story for most of the drama. If she is the main character, then focus on her. She did not even have a backstory or family or anything. The writing really is this drama’s biggest flaw.
I actually quite liked the slower paced part in the middle and then ramping up again
It was not as draggy as other dramas I have watched so I still gave it a good rating, but I would have prefered for it to have a consistent pace. I watched it 2 years ago so I don’t remember all the details. ^^'
Probably an unpopular opinion but I found it boring.
Too much focus on the business part, little focus on the romance. They clearly liked each other but took forever to get together for no reasonable reason. Sure, the FL had every right to be angry at first but at some point it just felt like she was being extremely stubborn and petty.
I am a programmer and gamer, so you would think that if anyone would love this drama that would be me, but I found it boring with just a few scenes here and there that felt worth watching.
The actors did a great job, so the problem was the writing and directing.
It clearly remake though i don't know why MDL don't said here as usual if it remakes.
Yeah, that was what left me confused. I have only watched the first 2 episodes but have found so many similarities already. There are a few details here and there that are different but most of the things, specially when it comes to the male lead’s life, are the same.
I thought the same too like they usually mention it on MDL that it's remake ....maybe they will edit later on…
Since I rewatched Boku no Ita Jikan recently it was easier to find the similarities. For me it was the interview scene with him pretending the phone ringing was his. At that moment I was like, nah, there is no way this is a coincidence. Then they showed his family situation and that was when I was pretty sure the two dramas were related in some way.
The plot is too bland to stretch the drama for 4 months, 1 episode a week was an awful idea.
I waited until all the episodes were out to watch and felt like I would not have missed anything by skipping on this one. If I had tried to watch it while it was airing, I know for sure I would have dropped it.
If you want me to keep coming back every week for 1 single episode, you better make it end with a bang so I feel like I HAVE to watch the next one, like I cannot wait for next week’s episode.
This drama was below average when it comes to kdrama standards and stretching the airing duration from 2 to 4 months only made it worse. Not something I would recommend. I skipped a lot and did not drop it just because there were not many episodes and I hate leaving things unfinished. If you have not started watching, you can safely skip this one. It is not worth your time.
I just rewatched Boku no Ita Jikan like a week ago and just from watching the first episode of this one I am finding a lot of similarities.
He plays soccer, the phone ringing scene during the job interview, he has a younger brother that is going to medical school, the whole family dynamics, etc. If this is a remake or at least heavily inspired on Boku no Ita Jikan, why is there no mention of it in the drama details?
P.S. - I am not hating on the drama or anything, just wondering how it is related to Boku no Ita Jikan since there are so many similarities that so far it almost feels like watching a remake of it.
Never trust comments and ratings as they based on personal preference and not objective analysis or facts. I’ve…
Hum, I can go through my list later and see if I can find something that you might like.
I am going to rewatch Royal Rumours with my mother since she has been addicted to Chinese historical dramas, so if you have not watched it yet, maybe give it a try and see if you like it.
