There are many Chinese dramas with 24 episodes and some of the best ones are usually this short.

I waited for the second season so I could binge-watch and this was a rollercoaster of a drama. There were parts, mostly in the beginning, that were not my cup of tea and that almost made me drop the drama, and the there were parts I found really entertaining. The acting was great as expected with the casting of so many amazing actors.

The ending, for me, was disappointing. It was not the endind I wanted or believed in. Overall it was a great drama with highs and lows. I do not regret watching it.

The first 21 episodes are pretty good if you like investigation and the amount of romance is just right but the last 3 episodes are all over the place, as if some intern was given the task of writing, directing and editing from episode 22 to 24. ^^'

Me neither. The last arc was what lost me. Not a bad drama but it had a lot more potential than this.

I did not read the novel but I definitely noticed how the ML character had less impact than he should have had. The SML was the focus of the story up until the last moment, even overshadowing the FL at times. Also I love strong smart independent FLs but the way the ML was almost like her sidekick/loyal follower did not sit well with me.

Started well and had everything to be a great drama but somewhere along the way it lost its’ purpose and essence. No real conflicts resolved, characters that acted out of character, a lackluster ending, just to name a few. Such a great cast, what a shame that the writers were not sure which direction they wanted the plot to go.

No problem. True, but it got a lot better. 5 years ago only Korean dramas were subbed often, many Chinese dramas went without subs for years. Now a lot of Chinese dramas get English subs the same day the episode airs. ^^

These are comments from 5 years ago. The app has improved a lot since then and I have also studied Mandarin.

You’re asking me to stop complaining but you are complaining about me complaining. At least check the date of the comments before complaining about someone else’s complaints. Back then most dramas on IQIYI either had no subs or really bad machine translated subs so it was normal for people to complain about it in the comment section.

They put together a great cast but the story and pace did not work for me. I watched it all but skipped a lot of things. Was honestly expecting more from this one, but it was not a bad drama, just not my cup of tea.

Ikr? Great cast but the plot seemed like nothing was happening, almost like the actors were being told to just play around while someone filmed it.

I have not started it yet but come on, his name is Fei Ke. With that name, why would anyone expect his identity to be real? ^^'

The main leads initial characterization was pretty interesting, they could have done something cool with the plot yet we got an average plot full of clichés. It was watchable but not something that made me feel like I could not wait to watch the next episode.

Not bad for a short drama but the ending ruined any chances of me giving it a high rating.

Their friendship was so weird, they could not stand each other at first. This drama was really different, a breath of fresh air.

The ending was heading somewhere none of us wanted it to, but at the same time there was no way to avoid it or it would create a HUGE plot hole. The way the writers handled it was pretty smart.

This was a drama that from the start felt different while being completely cliché and it was an enjoyable ride. Hard to put into words how I feel about this one, but if I went back to the past I would definitely watch it again. XD

Great idea, below average execution. If I had that phone I would call the writer and tell them the story started well but they eventually messed it up and ask them to rewrite it and make sure to find a better director to adapt it into a drama. XD

The first 2 episodes I was not sure if I would love it or if it was a little bit too cliché for my taste. But by episode 3 I had warmed up to it and before I knew it, I was in love with it.
Byeon Woo Seok was a good villain in his last drama but the role of the good guy here made him shine even more. And Kim Hye Yoon makes any drama brighter, just like she did with her role in Extraordinary You.

I cannot get past the first episode. The FL does not fit with either of the the MLs and the storytelling is not my cup of tea. I think I now understand why it has a lower rating than most kdramas.

P.S. - It is not because the actress looks older because I thought she was well cast in 18 Again, but here it just feels like a miscast.

It is not a badly made short drama, but for me it lacked the surprise factor. From the beginning it was pretty obvious how it would end.

As a bro drama, it is nice, the 4 of them have a great friendship. Everything else is just not worth watching.

They are 4 and each has his own love insterest, so there are basically 8 main characters sharing screen time. There is so much going on with everyone that it feels like nothing is going on. Dramas like this one are the reason why I usually stay away from dramas that have more than 4 main leads or 2 main couples. When there are too many main characters, none of them stand out and if someone does, I will just feel frustrated that person/couple do not get more screen time.

One time watch for me with a LOT of skipping.
