Because there are different people with different opinions in this world - I meet several people who are friends…
Bro, OP was contrasting the book and the show by discussing, among other things, that the one dude was a homophobe in the show, and yet friends with queers, in the show. And then you popped in and talked about how realistic it was. So it was very much in the domain of the show that the situation was discussed.
Ergo, either the show is realistic and you've made a point that sometimes in real life homophobes have gay friends. Which they do. but this also means we look at EVERYTHING else in the show as realistic framework too. Or we go with your fluff assessment and then your statement about realism is nullified. You can't have it both ways, yo.

Then why are we supposed to take the friend's attitude about LGBT matters as realistic? It's kind of a broad brush thing, bro. Either the show is serious and we can talk about ALL the behaviors in realistic terms like you mentioned when you said "Lian's friend's behavior was realistic", or it's "Brainless fluff for fluff's sake" and ALL the behaviors dodge explanation by being plotless fuzz.
Damn. Sorry for setting that reply up wrong. My bad, bro.
I wasn't there for the TharnType wreck-it. I came way late to that show. But I was there for the Gen Y 2 sitch where BPG and Kari and others where being sent hate speech and threats and other things behind scenes for just saying "Hey, everyone has a right to be here. Chill and stop hating on people based upon gender or sexual identity".
This comments section is spicy, but it's not the worst I've seen.
With the way people have been shtting on this show trust me no one is afraid to say this show is bad or offer…
Bro, where's this idea that the criticism has to be unique or constructive or anything like that come from? Last time I checked, there's no hard rules on making comments here.
Naw, bro. We're not gone. I suspect we're all still here. And we don't attack people for the most part. Most of the attacks come from the "I love this show if you don't then shut up and go away" crowd. It comes in a lot of flavors. What I can def say we do is jump on it when people try to challenge our right to be here and post as well. But so long as no one is trying to tell us to leave, we're legit easy to get along with, yo.

Though I've noticed when some of us bring up other realistic problems in the show we're told "Bro, this is lighthearted comedy, don't be so serious.". This show can't decide what it is.
I personally like the show but it’s definitely not one of the best . i see why people like it and i see why…
I've made this exact observation before bro. And I keep getting told "read the book". But my thing is I don't want to have to read a magic decoder ring to understand the plot or characters. The drama itself should give me what I need. And yo, it's just not. It's mad levels of inadequate, among the other problems it's got.
YEAH they pick it apart until they have dissected it all until there's nothing left to discuss, if everyone is…
Yo, I didn't accuse you of saying anything about us not being able to talk here. I simply asked why you were throwing shade, after OP specified they weren't.
I love this series. For me, it is so cute and light. A very fun and well done watch with some great emotional…
Yo I think it's found in the fact that people come from different backgrounds, experiences, professions. It's like anything else in life, no two people see it the same way because no two people are the same.
Hahahahahaahah! Oh shit. I don't even know where to start with all that misdirection. I actually almost rolled…
Bro. Battling this level of obtuseness every day has to wear you down. Vitamins. You need to be taking care of yourself so you can continue to drop the def gospel.

And I was on Gen Y hot only because of Bas Suradet, bro. I can't explain it. He just does things to me.

I personally think that's dope AF.
