I am still watching this drama because I have already wasted 21 hours of my life on this mess, and I also need help because I literally hate everyone in this drama but I still want to know what happens next
Honestly I dont think OYH can carry this show by herself as the protagonist, and even tho I like Logan I only see him as a side character. Idk what the writers are thinking so I will wait for S2 to be completed before continuing. I just feel like season 1 literally ended nowhere. Of course I didn't expect a happy ending for people but the issue is that Dan Tae, Seo Jin and Su Ryeon are to me the only intelligent and meticulous characters. So seeing SSR go would mean I will have nobody to root for as the protagonist. Dont get me wrong I love the antagonists A LOT but they need to be challenged for character growth and layers. I am sorry to say but OYH is a dumb character and if she gets intelligent in the next season I might continue but even then I have my doubts because I don't think they can pull that off as well as the graceful way in which SSR was taking revenge.
My issue with S1 ending also is that it was very out of character for both SR and Logan to drop their guards and then Logan planning to go to the States, that was out of character for him because he should know that Dan Tae and the rest of the people didn't even go to jail?
Even SR is smarter than to just go back to the house where she is literally in danger of life, she never went back before and she could have sent someone else to the penthouse to stop things instead of going herself. Like thats not something SR would do because she is smarter than that?
Man I am extremely disappointed with the finale. I know they wanted shock value but it didnt land in an adrenaline way for me. Even tho S1 was great they completely ruined it for me at the end. We are basically in square 1 again and if I had to recommend this drama to someone, nobody would have even missed any big plot development if they skipped to S2, which proves how pointless the whole thing became. This is what happens when they add seasons to dramas like this. Like I get the makjang aspect and I love it but you need to give the audience some rewards. People literally were skipping the first 3 episodes (including me) because there was just too much injustice and the show didn't even pick up until SR showed how smart she was. Also I have a thing for smart female characters in makjang and they totally made her out of character to give people shock and give something for S2 ugh

Yeah it just doesn't make sense to me that the main character whose revenge was the driving force of the drama would just die like that. Not to mention SSR is a smart lady so going out like that seems like such a waste of potential.
I don't want any random reporter to become the new lead or avenge SSR because it would just not be as personal as SSR's revenge on her kids? Not to mention literally everyone in the Penthouse did not pay for their crimes and if they are going to make the audience watch this drama for two seasons it would be a dumb choice for the writers to just kill off their fan favorite??? Like everyone in the drama is trash so who are the fans going to support? Even OYH is questionable (whether she killed SSR/MSA or not because she is selfish and pretty dumb unlike SSR's character so most people aren't even rooting for her). The reporter seems like she would be a good side character rather than a main character with a charm like SSR.
I guess I'm still trying to process what just happened and I'm going to keep my fingers crossed that the writers don't screw up the plot as we go into S2. Because right now there is nothing thats motivating a lot of people to watch the next season after the finale if it turns out Logan and SSR are killed off.
