I LOVE YOU PAPA SANG SHIK, BUT CAN YOU PLEASE JUST SHARE STUFF LIKE TAKING CARE OF ANOTHER PERSON TO YOUR FAMILY, LITERALLY ALL THE MISUNDERSTANDINGS LED TO A BROKEN MARRIAGE AND HOME LIFE AND IT PISSES ME OFF SO MUCH BUT AT THE SAME TIME THIS IS THE SAD REALITY OF MANY BROKEN DYSFUNCTIONAL FAMILIES
LOL I'M NOT THE ONLY ONE! I loved their scene at the seaside, and how he made her smile genuinely, there's just…
He is like the only person she feels comfortable sharing stuff with, and during the rooftop scene she mentioned that, how she is even distant from her friends, but I love how she can talk to him about stuff. On the other hand, I feel like Eun Hee and her bro is like always complaining to Chan Hyuk and doesnt feel all that special haha
Eunjoo is my favourite character. I love how flawed and complex she is. She's really been through so much (miscarriage, broken marriage, even the circumstances of her birth was a lie) but she continues to try her best and keep her cool, she keeps things to herself like her mom, but I hope she learns to be more open about what she is feeling. Sank Shik is my other favorite character, and I cant wait to see their father-daughter dynamic unfold after the reveal. I find their relationship to be the most interesting to explore, and considering how Sang Shik was the closest to her and how different their personalities are, but in a way, that's the best part because I think Sang Shik sees a lot of her mom in Eunjoo, and always treated her well because his love for Eun Joo is what made his relationship with Jin Sook stronger. There's just a lot to be explored there and I understand why Eun Joo feels so insecure now (and probably say hurtful things) but I think that's necessary to bring them closer. Eun Joo insecurity is rooted in her love for her father ultimately and she feels like it was all sympathy rather than true love, and I'm totally here for Sang Shik to be the great papa he is and prove her wrong!
I just want my Chan Hyuk and Kim Eun Joo ship to sail but that ain't happening :(
LOL I'M NOT THE ONLY ONE! I loved their scene at the seaside, and how he made her smile genuinely, there's just something that I really found endearing there
I love how among online communities like MDL its one of the highest rated, but apparently not doing so well in…
Im guessing those shows are top rated because they are in public broadcast channels, so it could lead to discrepency. In any way, I know the drama is doing very well in Netflix (its currently #1 in several countries), and since Netflix is a big distributor for this show, thats encouraging to hear. I think this drama is attracting a niche group of people from what I can see, and considering its theme and content, its to be expected (serious topic such as mental health)
I love how among online communities like MDL its one of the highest rated, but apparently not doing so well in…
I know right, its very well thought out drama and you can tell they're trying to create an atmosphere very meticulously which is why I love it so much, not to mention the casting is perfect! Its strange that its not doing well considering that this has mature theme (like world of the married) and has a badass female lead (like hotel del luna) and those dramas did really well
Nana is more suitable for serious, mature FL roles imo, but I can't help but love her even more now because she is growing as an actor and taking on different roles like this! What a queen
*wears fancy outfits**wears ordinary clothes*The beauty that she holds. Wow.
I love her in ordinary clothes, her beauty shines a lot more imo, ofc I love her high end fashion too, but I want to see more looks like that, she looked so cozy at Gang Tae's apartment <3
I love how among online communities like MDL its one of the highest rated, but apparently not doing so well in terms if viewership in Korea? Hope thats not the case because we want more dramas like this and I dont want them to fail and get discouraged to make good stuff like this, compared to stuff like *cough cough* backstreet rookie
I don't know what I love more their voices or the ost ;D as someone who always complains about the high pitched…
I know this sounds kind of superficial, but nothing annoys me more than high pitched voice of a FL, Ive dropped a few dramas because of that. Seo Ye Ji, my queen, is a diamond among actors, her voice is EVERYTHING, and Kim Soo Hyun also has a gentle and calming tone so its just perfect!
In my 3-4 years of kdrama watching, I was never more excited for a show than this one. As soon as I read the synopsis,…
The wasted potential of this drama and the actors keep me up at night :)) lol jk, but seriously though, I really felt what you wrote! I'm super upset that they had to ruin this story, stuff like this doesn't get greenlighted often, and when it does, we get a complete mess of a story that we are watching now
I completely agree with you! I mean, mostly? Kinda? To call any of them a "complex character" would require a good…
Yes, I agree with you on the script being all over the place! There is no point to this story. I don't think any of us still understand whether SB likes JB or SH, and we have literally one more week to wrap things up. If they were trying to go for a "Wuthering Heights" inspired story, they surely failed because at least that story had an overarching point (story about morality, class and being a woman in Victorian society), if they were trying to go for a serial killer story then they should have tried harder trying to explain how JC managed to survive a freaking bullet to his head, an execution and also escape prison without anyone noticing. If they were trying to go for a romance story (which most of us were hoping it would go), then why make the FL kiss the killer who happened to murder her fiance (and also stand up for him). What happened to the marriage vows that they made? Why make a story about reincarnation? For second chances? If so, then they definitely haven't been any better version of themselves in the present lol
Aside from that, the pilot episode of the drama was daebak! I love the family dynamic and it feels very heartfelt and relatable as a story. Can't wait to see Sang Shik as 20 year old LOL
Man, kdramas could be so good at BL, and this is proof. I hope we get a happy ending for these two (though it might be asking for a lot!). Also hope to see more BLs around from Korea
* For the drama: I'm liking it somehow, its a good start for Korea and I think the actors are doing well, its…
Well said! Tae Joo is also head over heels in love with Kang Gook, and he is afraid of committing himself because of society and consequences, so he masks his feelings by "fooling around" when obviously he is always seeking KG's affections and going out of his way to be with him all the time. He's afraid of losing him after all and gets so mad when KG brings that up >.<
I love IU's voice too, and thankfully she graces us with good music as well :P and yes, KSH and SYJ chemistry is just a match made in heaven
