Title Born Again Spoiler
Okay, hear me out guys. I absolutely LOVE Jong Bum's character. I think he is very complex and interesting as a person, however, I don't ship him with Sa Bin. Only because we love a character in a drama doesn't mean that we have to ship them with the FL. Sa Bin and Jong Bum's relationship is toxic as hell and nobody can disprove this. What Jong Bum needs is friendship and understanding, and I absolutely hate the writers who decided to ruin Sa Bin's character. She has no sense of boundary, is a freaking pushover and it sends the wrong message to people. Empathy =/= romance and you can be there for a person platonically. I loved Sa Bin at one point too. I am glad she gave him the benefit of the doubt. But she is unprofessional as hell and as a mentally sane person who is also a professor (which is why everyone SHOULD put her on a moral high ground, she has no excuse to act like a child - she is not an emotionally stunted person like JB, nor a morally grey person like SH who lost his dad to a psychopath), she should have realized by now that what JB needs is strong friendship and psychiatric help, not some toxic romance. I have my fair share of toxic ships but the issue here is that 1. what Sa Bin feels for Jong Bum is EMPATHY not romantic attraction, and the writers are trying to tell us that the only way to deeply empathize with a person is through romance which is COMPLETE BS. 2. The entire Sa Bin/Ha Eun and Soo Hyuk/Hyung Bin plot is butchered. How can a woman's love for a man change when she literally vowed before her death that she will be in love with him in all her lifetimes. What even is the point then? The writers didn't have to make the story all flowery if they weren't going to follow through with this concept. I understand that in reality people move on and there is no such thing as "one true love" for many people, but it's extremely misleading for the viewers who do believe in that stuff, and makes it hard for anyone to trust the FL if she goes around spouting shit like "one true love" when she can't even carry through. Even real life people on average are CONSISTENT in their morality and actions, which Sa Bin fails at. People who are hating on Soo Hyuk's character are doing so BECAUSE they like Jong Bum over him, but they fail to see that both of these people are morally grey characters. But that's not the point though in shipping JB or SH with SB, neither of them should end up with her at this point. If you are willing to see Jong Bum as a complex character, you should also find the same for Soo Hyuk, neither men killed anyone, but yes, both of their actions have caused potential harm to people around them. And I love that about this drama, nobody here is perfect, but for God's sake, writers need to stop romanticizing the toxic mess that is JB and SB and ruin SB's character in the process.

I had a slight concern with JB, why didn't he tell Sa bin the truth that SH ex fiancee is after her?I get that…
JB doesn't love SB. It is based on pure obsession since SB is the first human who accepted JB as a person and liked him without any exterior motive.

I don't get why people are throwing so much hate on present Lee Soo Hyuk. Sure, he's not a conventional male lead and goes by the M.O of "end justifies the means" and he's rough around the edges but as far as we know he's not a freaking serial killer and just trying to do his job by putting murderers in jail? How is that a bad thing? Again, as far as we know he has a fiance and he's not even cheating on anyone or did I miss something? Also he's pretty straightforward with the FL which is something she needs because she's WAY TOO IDEALISTIC and needs to stop talking to bones and being so sentimental. It can be extremely unprofessional because it's her job, not some melodrama. Compared to JB/Ji Chul, he's been pretty transparent as a character and even though he's rude he doesn't mean ill intention on anyone so far, so I just don't see why people are hating on him. I'd say that I like the present Lee Soo Hyuk more, he gets the job done and doesn't take anyone's shit (for example he was very aware when that lady was trying to manipulate him into taking Ji Chul's murder case). He's a classic hot-headed male lead, we've seen them pretty often in other dramas lol

Well you never know what happens in the last episodes but I mean.. The serial killer confrontation probably takes…
Same, i think the story is very good as it is with all the mysteries unfolding, not a single moment feels boring or filler so far

According to the previews, it looks like Lee Soo Hyuk will be the bad guy and the second lead lol but I hope not, we'll see ;D

Jin Se Yeon's 1980 character is kinda lame and too cheesy for her male counterparts, I'm just hoping that when we move to the present timeline she's smarter and actually solves the mystery rather than being so cringy and head-in-the-clouds all the time

Why does ng Ki Yong always have crappy parents?? Be it in Come and Hug Me, Go Back Couple, Search WWW, or Kill…
Daddy issues make for complex male leads according to kdrama logic

I'm so shocked that she called the police BEFORE arriving at the scene like wow finally someone who's smart enough…
also loved how she defended herself when those thugs came in the house. she used her intellect (and acting abilities :P) to save herself which was so funny. love me my intelligent FLs

I can just tell this is going to be a tight storyline since it's adapted from a Japanese novel/drama. Really enjoyed the first episodes, I hope that it doesn't disappoint in the future

I mean, I actually really like the show so far (the directing/dp-ing/editing is top notch), it's just funny that…
also I don't even think Jo Yi Seo is a legit sociopath, maybe a high functioning sociopath, but in this day and age most people are , and I think her character traits are very realistic as a female lead than some sissy pushover girl

I hope there's a second season for this :) although it's a pretty standard k-drama about con artists, the actors did a wonderful job of portraying the characters and I fell in love with all of them and the way they became like each other's family. Such a comfy drama to binge!

I'm loving it so far, the police lady is the only irritating character I find here... The Psycho serial killer…
police lady is irritating as heck and i dont want romance between dong shik and her ugh, can we just cut her scenes and skip to the ones between yook dong shik and the psycho killer lol also i feel like it would be really bold and amazing of the writers if they made the psycho killer and dong shik actually bond with each other idk, i feel like seo in woo just wants to be understood and accepted and given a hug(even tho he's crazzzy haha) :3

I'm still thinking there will be more bromance between them because of the misunderstandings xD Perhaps Seo will…
yesss I want bromance and for DS and IW to bond. would be interesting to see them relate to each other (because I remember the part when seo in woo said, "dong shik and i are the same" and I really want that to be explored more :P) i wouldn't mind seo in woo to change either haha
