This was the best chemistry between leads ever. It even felt as if they based their performance on the book rather than the script.
Bai Yu was amazing. Jiang Ocean was exceptionally good.
and Zhu Yilong: My God, i've never seen a Chinese actor nail one role like he nailed three. i should check out his other dramas. He was so good in this it's just easier for me right now to believe he simply got lucky ^^'

YikesI hate when Asian drama adopt American shows plots .
"Zombies" isn't a plot. it's a concept. smh

What a refreshing drama! i was giving up on supernatural tag in dramas after watching so many boring-yet-popular ones. It would've been a 10/10 for me if the ending wasn't so weird. i hope there will be a season 2.
btw, why do they keep giving Jin Se Yeon roles? feels like she can move almost no muscle on her face. Kim Kang Woo's performance was top level. Joo Ji Hoon nailed it tho. straight to my faves.

I just love chameleon-like actors. i'd watched Five Fingers (and dropped Goong) long ago. and i actually binge-watched Item a week after i'd seen Kingdom's fist episode. yet only after i saw his profile i realized they were all the same actor.

WOW, now Min Ji stalking Bok Soo for 9 years with one sided love is so powerful representation as a women while…
Because my original comment was not about Bok Soo. and i'm simply not interested in measuring someone's actions by another's.

you actually want me to compare Soo Jung to Se Ho?!! he's mentally ill. he needs help asap or he might end up physically hurting someone. the fact that you'd even hint at comparing the female lead with the current villain, says a lot about her.

"BS swimming to save someone ≠ risking their life"?!
you either don't know swimming or have never experienced doing so outside swimming pools. it's dangerous and depending on the season, can be suicide to simply swim outdoors let alone playing Lifeguard. and playing lifeguard is advised against. not to mention all the legal issues that might happen if things go wrong.

About BS, nope. she started first. not that it matters since at a point they both loved e/o. She can turn them down anytime you know. except she probably doesn't even know herself what she wants.

yes i brought in Min Ji first. i don't see why that's a problem.

why i don't talk about Bok Soo? why should i? his character looks simple enough to me. not much to debate. you try so hard to bring him into discussion and idk why. not sure how his actions excuse Soo Jung's... anything. besides, he jumped anyway. thanks for reminding that he actually saved her life.
But, if someone doesn't risk their life to save a total stranger it makes them horrible? interesting, coming from someone who said wouldn't risk even their job for someone.

Personally, I would sided for keeping my permanent job over a guy who could continued his studies anytime within…
so no one is allowed to miss class now? or is it that only a student with low grades deserves to be mistreated or pressured? as a teacher i find the sentiment concerning. altho it's common way of thinking, it's still wrong.
That's my exact problem. fictional characters don't annoying me. unrealistic story does. BS chasing SJ still, is so unrealistic and is imo even sort of inconsistent with his character. even Majnun would've left Layla by now, honestly. And i'd get her still having feelings for him but outright believing what he said? no.

her insecurities are all over the place. She got serious trust issues, she was ashamed of her financial status, she doubts her own teaching abilities, she even doubts she can be loved for her own self.
considering all this, how easy to manipulate she is, and the fact that her very life goal was suggested by a man she hated, she doesn't even strike me as strong. at all.
you wish to respect women as individuals yet you keep measuring Soo Jung and Min Ji by Bok Soo. as if a female's choices can't even be debated without involving a male. you can't validate someone's wrongdoings by "he did wrong too". what's wrong is wrong.

"Min Ji and Bok Soo can be together for all I care, Soo Jung could do better in the future and not just with a guy who's just an eye candy"
well she does have a promising psychopath wanting her (tho i'm not sure if he really likes her ). in real life, that's the best self-centered people can get. but watch her cling to the ml like most fls do.

I feel like the real revenge is going to be against the school and it's system rather than Se Ho/Soo Jung. SJ is already team BS (for now. till next "misunderstanding" lol), students are starting to admire Bok Soo and it feels like somewhere along the way, Se Ho's gonna join them too. it'd be fun if they have it against someone like Chae Min's mom. She seems badass.

So, Soo Jung has the right to be inconsiderate of the guy whose life she helped ruin, God forbid she endanger her career (which she has thanks to that very guy, btw), but sacrificing his sanity to keep others happy is suddenly Bok Soo's duty?

anyway. altho the 2 most poisonous people for his life are in that school as AUTHORITIES and i'm surprised he even enrolled, he never said he'd quit. and he never did. so your original argument seems like trying to find an excuse for Soo Jung's selfishness. let's be honest she's selfish. simple as that. which isn't a big deal, in itself.

a good(?) teacher means a good partner? not necessarily.
and exactly what you said! see how problematic Soo Jung's character is for me to prefer the clingy-one-sided-lover girl. but at least she's a cheerful and reliable friend. and even if i have no doubt the writers are gonna fix Soo Jung's selfish+insecure persona soon enough, till then, i enjoy Min Ji's shenanigans more lol

decided not to? her mother literally begged on her knees. no school accepted him.

Before watching the drama i'd thought the comments disliking Soo Jung's character are coming from same old you're-not-the-typical-kdrama-fl-so-im-just-looking-for-a-reason-to-hate-you.
but now i get it. she's not a women's power representative. she's just THAT type of character. the type of man/woman who aren't nearly as strong and smart as they think which makes them hard to deal with to good people, and easy to manipulate to bad ones.
she made me root for Min Ji for a whole episode that's how bad the situation is!

btw, Jo bo ah is nailing it. it's amazing to watch. i hope to see more of her as lead.
