Ugh I was so glad SBS has a cut down version compared to VIU one, because good grief, the VIU version last night was almost unbearable. It was all about Ma Wang Joon the entire one hour. I'm so done with his crap by the end of it. This has been the most selfish, most asshole episode of Ma Wang Joon thus far and having seen the preview, it's just about to get worse.
I watch it on VIU too and I've noticed the difference in cutting points too. It seems VIU is airing the original…
I know, same here. Although the episodes last night pissed the hell out of me. The only time I was grateful SBS decided to cut down the show and tone down the Ma Wang Joon screentime.
Watching Eps 27-28 (VIU version) last night for once made me grateful that SBS decided to cut the episodes to…
Oofff when he announced to the press that he's been with Dada for 7 years, WTF, what a self-centered dick. All of a sudden he's deciding everything for himself, without a single care to what Dada actually feels, thinking to himself what a hero he is. Yikes.
Watching Eps 27-28 (VIU version) last night for once made me grateful that SBS decided to cut the episodes to 18. Young Goo barely appeared in it, and in the first half MWJ was actually fun to watch but I was so pissed off him by the second half.
I watch it on VIU too and I've noticed the difference in cutting points too. It seems VIU is airing the original…
I haven't seen the cut version scenes in full yet but a huge chunk has been cut off from Ep 13 & 14. I'd say around 13 minutes of clips from Ep 13 and 20 mins clips from Ep 14 have been taken down.
I watch it on http://www2.fastdrama.me/watch-online/my-absolute-boyfriend/ep2526-sub I don't know if that's the…
I think it's been officially cut already since they are trying to fit everything in 18 episodes instead of 20.
It's been a while since I last read the manga, but IIRC, Night's a robot who doesn't act too robotic himself. I remember him having such a sunshine personality like Young Goo. And him being emotional I think was intentional in the story having seen his 'Ken' version who is actually more robotic.

If it has the SBS logo then that's the version that's already been cut down. VIU version ended with Zero Ten coming to Da Da's place and locking her door. SBS version is 13 mins ahead and showed more scenes that's supposed to be for the next episode. Like Young Goo coming face to face with Zero Ten and immediately knowing Zero Ten's a robot. They already showed Young Goo trying to stop Zero Ten but Zero Ten is stronger than Young Goo.
Where are you guys watching this? I watch it on VIU and last night's episode ended at the part where Zero Ten goes to Da Da's place, but I just saw the version broadcast by SBS, and their version is 13 minutes ahead of the episode released by VIU. I think SBS already deleted a couple of scenes to fit the 18 episodes, but so far, *hopefully* it looks like VIU is sticking to 20 episodes?
anyone else tired of wang joon and finds him annoying?no...just me?ok
Dude hints to girlfriend that he wants a breakup but is too cowardly to actually do it. He then shames said girlfriend by calling her a stalker which gets her in trouble with the police. Girlfriend finally breaks it off, and now that she's moving on, he keeps interfering in her life acting like the only reason he acted like a douche to her was because of the threats. Man, he doesn't even inform her beforehand that someone's out there threatening her life due to their relationship. Don't pretend that you're being a hero by "protecting" her from the secret. That's way, way far from protecting her.
Even if Young Goo's out of the picture, I still wouldn't ship her with Ma Wang Joon.
I wonder if Diana will have them make Zero 10 with the obvious choice Young Goo's face or with Ma Wang Joon's.…
Ooh imagine if she makes it with Da Da's face in order to lure Young Goo into a trap so she could destroy him. But then, that wouldn't make sense since Young Goo would know she's a robot... hahaha. Based on the scenes, I think they the show's framing the robot to have MWJ's face. But making Zero Ten have Da Da's face is definitely going to add a far more interesting dynamic in the story.
It really is so obviously low-budget, and there's something about the direction, camera angles that feels really dated at times. And I love Hong Seokcheon in varieties, but his acting here doesn't do it for me, hahaha. I could do with lesser MWJ vs CEO drama. I agree about the caricature-like villains, but I'm fine with it given that this drama isn't meant to be a serious one in the first place. But I'd really love to learn more about Diana's past with Ken. I wish the show allowed the viewers to get to know that part while Zero Nine was living as Ken. In the previous eps, I really liked how Diana showed hints of her vulnerability when Ken asked her about her hand. I wish they'd give us more of that instead of that whole mess with the CEO tbh.
What I like about this robot take is that Zero Nine was originally just a robot designed to give love, and never feel any sort of emotion but to focus on keeping his girlfriend happy. However in the process of living with Da Da, he eventually goes beyond his own programming and begins to feel true feelings such as sadnesss, hurt, jealousy, actual love, happiness, etc. He is no longer the robot that he once was in the beginning, thanks to Da Da treating him more like a human instead of a robot.
This drama is flawed for sure, but like you, I'm also very charmed by it. It's not trying to be that slick, polished, kind of drama. This drama is self-aware in its cheesiness and low-budget-ness and I'm so here for it. ♥
Yeah i saw it hitting all time low i'm really sad though. Hope the show with IU will help him out for the ratings…
I kept reading comments where they're hoping Young Goo will be the "bridge" or "cupid" for Da Da and Ma Wang Joon to reconcile and be back together, and all I could think of is how these people are clearly watching the wrong drama. When they saw the title "My Absolute Boyfriend" were they assuming it's in reference to Ma Wang Joon?
I thought this drama had 32 eps but happy to know it has 40 well I'm also happy to know that Dada got to know…
I find it funny how there are people expecting that Ma Wang Joon and Da Da's love story will be the focus of the drama, and are now flipping that Da Da has confessed she has feelings for Young Goo. It's always been about the robot and the female lead. Whatever happens in the end of the drama, the main theme is the love story between Young Goo and Da Da. Did these people even bother to read the synopsis?
Eh, most of the people watching this already knew the story beforehand anyway. Doesn't change the fact that the…
I'll just copy paste from wikipedia ^^
"As the series progresses, Night begins to develop real human emotions, enabling him to truly love Riiko but also resulting in system malfunctions. When Riiko almost loses Night due to the malfunctions, she realizes that he is the one she really loves. She apologizes to Soshi, who moves to Spain with his brother to live with their dad. Night and Riiko spend a few happy weeks together, during which they go on dates, get their picture taken together, and purchase matching rings as symbols of their undying love.
As the series ends, Night begins to grow sleepier and sleepier. The problems developed by him exceeding his abilities eventually causes his machinery to stop working, resulting in his "death". Before he died, he wrote a letter directed to Soshi telling him what was happening and asking him to take care of Riiko. He also sends his ring, which Riiko noticed he has not been wearing immediately prior to his death. In the letter, he tells Riiko that she doesn't have to cry for him any more but to always smile. So she laughs and forever treasures her rings and memories of Night."
And... Get ready for the tissues! I'm not watching this but by reading the comments. I knew it was going this…
