Okay I am a bit confused... There are 38 episodes, possibly 40, according to what’s on Viki, but here it only…
This drama is pre-produced and is slated as a 40-episode drama when it aired on SBS. However due to the really bad ratings, SBS decided to cut it down to 36 . VIKI and VIU, the international streaming sites for ABF is still releasing the 40 episode version.

YASS TEAM YOUNG GOO ALL THE WAY! Young Goo's fingers moved, there's no way they would show that in the last few minutes only to take it nowhere.
I read this on Korean comments, but apparently the mangaka is against a happy ending for all the drama versions, hence this is the best they could do without straight out making it a happy ending.
so who do you guys want to think was the guy with the umbrella? someone in anther comment pointed out that 09…
I'm Team Young Goo till the end. The mint umbrella is still far better associated with Young Goo right from the start. I think the height fits Young Goo more than MWJ as well as MWJ is much taller than Dada. The height difference with Dada and the man with the umbrella isn't as much compared to the height difference of MWJ and Dada. Also like you said, the face she made... that's a face she would definitely show for Young Goo, not Ma Wang Joon.
I watched a mix of uncut and cut episodes, but I will definitely complete the uncut eps over the weekend. Anyway, I think the problem essentially in this drama is when for some reason, the writer/production insisted on making a 20-episode drama. This would have been a better fit for a 16-ep one.
There are storylines I just didn't care about like the dragged out flower box issue and eventually the CEO mess. There's also the Diana plot that started out super interesting but they kept her character too shallow for the most part. This drama felt low-budget throughout and it's such a pity that they could've given this drama a bit more production value and a tighter storyline by going for 16 episodes instead.
With that said, there are still so many things I loved in this drama. Young Goo is so precious. I'm so glad and thankful that Dada is nowhere as fickle as the one from the manga. I really appreciate that once she's realized her feelings for Young Goo, she never faltered. Young Goo and Dada scenes are sooo fluffy and lovely. She taught Young Goo so many things and Young Goo grew to become better because of that. And vice versa.
Yeo Woong is a KWEEN and is treated as such. Her ship with Nam Bo Won is just so BEAUTIFUL. I couldn't stand Ma Wang Joon scenes too much, but I enjoyed his dynamic with YW, and I often found myself smiling at their scenes together
Nam Bo Won and Young Goo♡♡♡ I have so much feels for them. NBW is such an amazing parental figure to Young Goo despite being clueless to so many things himself. He only always wanted what was best for him.
I really enjoyed this drama for the most part. This drama isn't perfect but it made me giggle, made me squee.. it made me indignant on behalf of my beloved characters. It made me cry and it's sad saying goodbye to the characters I've come to love this past few months. Anyway my heart is full thanks to this drama.
So everyone I would like to ask a question. Which version are you watching? In the broadcasted one on SBS they…
Last week, I skipped Ma Wang Joon's parts towards the end in VIU version, and watched the rest on SBS. LOL. I still watch the VIU version and take a look at the SBS version to see what's going to come up next.
So are you saying Jin Goo isn't actually getting the ml scope! Are they completely screwing up the main story!…
Initially Ma Wang Joon is fine, I even felt kinda bad for him because though he handled the relationship horribly, you'd see how he regrets his actions. But then slowly he becomes such a major jerk, and my tipping point was the latest eps focusing on him. Yeah, you could just do that. The parts focusing on Young Goo and Dada are really adorable and heartwarming.

Jingoo was already done with Absolute Boyfriend since last year. This is a pre-produced drama. I hate fast-forwarding in dramas because it would feel like I'm just faking my progress, but ugh the amount of Ma Wang Joon in the past few episodes made me skip a lot.
I've seen other people talking about this as well but I need to rant ,even though I really like watching this…
My internet was awful last night and it took me ages to download the episodes from VIU only to watch The Ma Wang Joon Show and not My Absolute Boyfriend. Gah.
I watch it on VIU too and I've noticed the difference in cutting points too. It seems VIU is airing the original…
The entire VIU ep was pretty much all abt MWJ, there should be nothing else to cut but his parts LOL. I checked the SBS version and Young Goo had more scenes compared to VIU, so I figured it must've been MWJ parts that got cut.
To anyone who would still ship Dada with Ma Wang Joon after this episode : WAKE UP.
MWJ is such an inconsiderate, self-entitled POS. He's not concerned about Dada's safety. He never was. He's the very guy who never told Dada someone's threatening her life FFS. He never respected Dada's decision to move on from him even before he found out that Young Goo is a robot, so don't give me that bullcrap. He's just using the robots are dangerous excuse because he's an insecure asshat who can't get over the fact that there is actually SOMEONE (and to add to his fragile ego's hurt: a ROBOT at that) who is far better than him (which isn't a tough scale to beat lbr) at taking care of Dada and giving her the love that she deserves.
I never understood those who ship Dada with MWJ at all because eek YG is a robot. So what if they had a 7 year relationship? People break up from 10 years of relationship or more. What's the point of those 7 years when MWJ never actually cared about how Dada really felt. Young Goo on the other hand may have been pretty relentless at the start, but he eventually learns to listen to Dada and stops when she tells him to. He often gives Dada the space she needs and he knows when to back off. Young Goo won't even question Dada whenever MWJ would talk to her alone because he trusts her.
It's also pretty rich of MWJ to say that Young Goo doesn't know empathy. Oh the irony. Young Goo has so much more empathy in his toenail than MWJ's entire body.
Like I said, even if Young Goo's out of the picture, MWJ's been waving all these red flags throughout the show that Dada's better off alone if MWJ is the only option left on the planet.
