i agree with @peppa,it's a way of speaking in general for mainland Chinese people, and I don't feel troubled by…
I've watched some Chinese dramas and I was never bothered by the accent before. It's just the way he tends to whisper/breathe down his lines. The other characters speak fine to me. But yeah, it's all down to tastes. ^^

Unpopular opinion, I didn't notice it at first, but once I did, it kind of became a pet peeve. It's the way Xu Feng talks. Why is he always talking like he's breathing down someone's neck or something? I couldn't stand it anymore so I'm dropping it. T_T

Overall, I enjoyed it, the leads were really good, special shoutout to Do Kyungsoo! However, the story started dragging by the latter half, which is quite unfortunate.

Because the robot shuts down at the end, the human guy becomes a consolation prize. I hope they develop them more…
The female lead is a very frustrating character who kept stringing both the robot and the human guy along. If they're going to keep the female lead's characteristic like in the manga, then I'd rather she ends up with nobody tbh. I wish the writer of this version puts some sense and maturity into the female lead.

You're a great help! I watched 3 eps on kissasian and the subs were a bit inconsistent. This one's really great and I get to watch legally at the same time. I've finished up to Ep 12 so far thanks to you. :)

why it sound similar to that indie movie i watched
This series is a remake of a Korean movie called, The Masquerade although that movie is definitely not indie. The Masquerade in turn is a Joseon take of the old the prince and the pauper tale.

Yeo Jin goo is an amazing actor. I don't get u with the improvement talk. He can act better than some overrated…
I agree on this. To me, he is nothing short of fantastic when acting in serious roles like sageuk productions such as Jackpot, Warriors of the Dawn or like what he did in Hwayi, Giant, Circle, even that short stint in 1987. But he still hasn't nailed the romantic-comedy aspect of acting. I guess this is why he keeps pushing himself on such roles.

He's a great actor but his performances in Orange Marmalade and Reunited Worlds were definitely not his best. But then again, there isn't much you can do with two-dimensional characters. Which is what worries me about this drama, tbh. I'm really hoping the writer would do something to make the material so much better than the original. He does well in showing nuances to his roles and I hope he could get a chance to do it here.

But he was still handsome lol
Yeah, definitely. :D But I really hated his clothes there. Didn't give him justice.

I was so hooked with Episodes 1 & 2 but the 3rd and 4th... not so much. There are way too many scenes with lingering stares and they even add slow-mo to it which become quite boring to me after some time. The first week felt so refreshing to me but the 2nd week is slowly turning into the typical kdrama template. I don't suppose it's a bad thing because there are people who watch kdramas for that purpose. But the first 2 episodes (especially the first one) set up the story so well that I was hoping for much more.

Title Circle
is it good??
I suggest you read the reviews above. There are people who really liked it a lot and there are others who didn't. Personally, I loved it. All the actors gave justice to their roles and I really liked the two-part format every episode. The pacing was perfect and the story had a true direction right from the start.

I'm already in ep5/6 and i don't know if i will be continuing. I love my yeo baby and some of the cast but it…
This drama is a waste of Jingoo's talents. I'd rather suggest Circle than this.

Couldn't agree more. I hate the female lead in the manga. She is so plain/ naive and unattractive and then we…
I haven't seen Minah's previous works but from what I heard she's definitely a huge improvement from Jingoo's previous female leads from Orange Marmalade and Reunited Worlds. And I'm glad the age gap isn't huge this time so I'm hoping they can make the chemistry work. Jingoo with Lee Yeonhee was just a hopeless case. The age gap was huge and she was just mostly terrible throughout the drama.

Anyway I don't see any happy ending for Jingoo's character in this (which is pretty much in line with almost all his dramas... like seriously o_o he just never got the girl except in Orange Marmalade). And unless the writer does a huge change in the ending, he's also not ending up with the girl here. His character is a robot after all. I'm a huge fan of him so I'm rooting for him by default. But I'm also looking forward to the other actors' performance in this.

Yesss so much. I hope the characters become well-developed. Make them earn whatever they get in the story. Apparently people didn't like the previous adaptations compared to the manga... and the manga wasn't even good to begin with. So I'm begging this writer-nim to do his best and for the director to actually do a good job. I'm hoping and praying (reaaally hard) for them to pull this off.

Yes to everything. The female lead is such a weak character who couldn't make up her mind 90% of the story. Actually make that 99% cos even when she's finally chosen Night, she's still showing fickle tendencies till the end. She's never shown any qualities that make her worthy of the adoration she's been getting. I'd understand the robot falling for her, he hasn't got a choice as he's been programmed that way. But Soushi? Anyway, Riiko didn't have any redeeming qualities in the manga. She's just a high school girl desperate for male attention throughout the story to me.

Exactly, the writer needs to do so much to make the story actually likable. I hope they'd do everything in their power to make a good adaptation cos I'd feel so, so sorry for the actors if this turns out into another mess.
On My Absolute Boyfriend Jun 4, 2018
The manga is very childish, I'm hoping the writer would make the characters more sensible this time, especially as they'd be adults instead of high school students from the manga. I'd be watching this for Yeo Jin Goo as always.
