I fear he is going to enter the popular kdrama romcom zone. I wish he will continue doing great dramas with overflowing…
He's receiving insanely fantastic response from his current drama, The Crowned Clown. It's currently the highest rating drama in Mon-Tues timeslot and it's a cable drama that's beating even public station dramas. ♥
For Absolute Boyfriend, I think he will still be able to show his acting skills in that drama. The robot in ABF actually shows emotions. I hope the story is good for that one.
In the first ep, when Yi Heon's father was dying, his brother was crying calling their father Abamama.. but when his father called Yi Heon, he only answered, "Your Majesty." Turns out, his father didn't allow Yi Heon to call him father his whole life. :(
Yeo Jin Goo's acting is insanely good. His speech and action and the vibe he gives each character is so detailed... I'm in awe episode after episode after episode.
if they really follow Gwanghaegun's story, then will everyone die in the end?
You mean following the movie, or the real historical Gwanghae?
The drama followed the general structure of the movie but had their own specific takes for the actual details of the story and characters so we can't really say for sure what will happen in this drama's ending.
As for the historical figure Gwanghae (where the original movie's King is based from), the drama changed the real historical figures to completely fictional ones. That is to say Yi Hon (Gwanghae) is now Yi Heon, and Heo Gyun (Chief Royal Secretary) is now Yi Kyu. This allows the writers to have more freedom to change around the characters and story.
Rude? It looks like the king will rape her o_o the ship is soooo going downhill Dx poor queen
Yeah I also feel sorry for the King, he grew up with a toxic father who hated him for his mother's death due to giving birth to him, and Shin Chisoo also got him addicted to drugs so he won't be able to properly rule. It's sad because he was once a good and caring person with a potential to be a great leader, but palace life made his mentality chaotic.
With that said, I still wouldn't want him to end up with the Queen. The Queen doesn't love him, and I think that alone should seal the deal. They've spent quite some time together in the palace and Sowoon never got to fall for him, while Haseon only spent like weeks in the palace and she immediately opened up to him.
Yi Heon's personality, I think, even before his madness, is more restricted, even if he cared for the Queen, which isn't compatible with Sowoon who always dreamed of more freedom. Haseon's more carefree which allowed Sowoon to be more easygoing herself.

Something liked about Yi Heon's character (despite his craziness and addiction), is the way he respected Sowoon's boundaries in Ep 1. He saw that Sowoon didn't want to be kissed so he left her alone. He even said, "Those who have no idea would think I'm the one rejecting you. Who knew that you're the one rejecting me?" Which implies this is not the first time she rejected his advances.
I do hope the writers would remember that characterization of Yi Heon. *fingers crossed*
Ha ha..agree. And now I don't know if I would ever like Yi Heon because of that preview! Loving Ha Seon and trying…
Right? How can Yi Heon have this terrifying energy while Haseon is this puppy that you just want to protect... and they are both played by the same actor.
Yeo jin goo’s acting here is really superb! Kinda shock that there’s someone who don’t like his acting lol…
A lot of people enjoyed ep 6 :D It's due to the Asian Cup that all the drama ratings went down (with TCC still leading the Mon-Tues dramas). I saw over in theqoo that they were expecting Ep 6 ratings to actually be lower due to the Asian Cup, but it ended up doing a lot better than expected. <3
And omg Jungjeon Mama!!! She kissed Haseon!!! Aaahh♥♥♥ My ship is sailing I'm crying but I know it will eventually hit an iceberg once she finds out the truth... *cries even harder*
