For some reason it took me AGES to get it going with Mr. Queen but now that I have completed it I find myself wanting more. It was a top notch drama, a very unique one at that, and never boring. Shin Hye-sun delivered an acting masterclass and Kim Jung-hyun was also a revelation. I loved the supporting characters, especially the Royal Cook.
The happy ending was bittersweet, or at least I felt so. Highly recommend it.
I totally thought Sa-hui was played by Park Gyu-young even if I did notice there was something a bit odd about her face compared to other dramas 😭 Turns out it’s actually Park Ji-hyun.
I was sick back in 2020, and this show helped me through it. I was grief-stricken and B&B warmed my heart in a way I didn’t imagine a reality show could. I don't think I'd freak out upon meeting any celebrity, but I'd certainly want to at least thank Lee Hyori for this show (and maybe getting a a photo with her or something 🥹). I'm rewatching some episodes and wanted to record these thoughts somewhere ❤️
Can’t believe that out of all the airing dramas this is the one I’ve been enjoying the most. I mean, a protagonist that can swipe through memories by touching butts?! 🥲 Kudos to the BYT team.
This is really good so far! Don’t let the premise scare you away. It’s silly, yes, but extremely well directed. The mystery and the comedy elements are enjoyable. I also like that it’s not a Seoul-based narrative – it is a breath of fresh air.
I enjoyed the humor and ensemble cast in NLB but BJT didn't have that interesting or big of a role in it. And…
I actually liked the FL in New Life Begins but imo her character did feel a bit too righteous at times. The main couple was not my favorite part of the drama. Destined is shaping up to be the better one out of the two indeed :)
Oh, would you have any recommendations of completed works that are similar to Destined? I am not too familiar with Chinese dramas yet. What I do know is that the wait for new episodes is too much 🥲
Wu Lei and Zhou Yutong are such natural actors they make this a superb watch! I find myself cheering for Sanchuan and Youan in every step of the way. REALLY loving the chemistry.
