I knew that they didn't care about accurately portraying religious inner turmoil when they included the first instance of their intimacy (them holding hands during the movie) IN A MONTAGE?! Any devout Catholic/Christian would already be spiraling at that point. Not to mention they were always making editing decisions that killed all the romantic tension. Just for how high pressure of an environment they're supposedly in everything was lukewarm

Great points! I was going to write a review myself, but after reading this I feel assured that someone shared my same thoughts. This felt like an amateur imitating Call Me By Your Name (or even ITSAY or Your Name Engraved Herein). This series definitely had me in the first half, however the acting/direction was just missing some of the nuance and finesse required to really pull everything together. It reminds me a lot about how I felt watching the Eighth Sense. Definitely a step in the right direction for a Chinese BL series though.

Guys post production can take months to up to a year.... We shouldn't expect to see this until the spring at the very soonest, and may take a little longer than that especially for a bigger production that has popular actors

This is rage bait for anyone who is a fan of the manga. I wasn't expecting exactly the same as the manga, but the added so much unnecessary filler. Plus the pacing and comedic timing was not there. Don't watch unless you're a fan of the actors, but as a manga fan this is so disappointing.

I have genuinely been stalking this page for the past 2 years... This is embarrassing. I can't even say I'm expecting to see something new when I open it. My standards have been so thoroughly destroyed I'm just curious whether this will actually make it out of the pits.
