I completely 100% agree with you. I really cannot comprehend this decision despite most might argue WKX is trying…
I think people find his character difficult to connect to, particularly in the first few episodes. Lao Wen is very expressive about his feelings and easier to understand. I don't think anyone dislikes him, but I just feel terribly sad when no one notices his feelings, especially during the episodes I mentioned. Hope you feel better than how I did while watching it. :)
I've completed my first round of watching WoH. (I still have the YT schedule to follow for correct subtitles, so, yep. Already prepared for a thorough rewatch while waiting for new episodes.) I want to write something coherent, eloquent and memorable , but all that comes out is some mindless rambling. I've been around this drama page since the time it had only about a 100 watchers and a few comments with 90% of the people worried that Youku was going to ruin another Priest novel. Now, coming here is almost nostalgic. :')
I might be part of the minority or maybe its because I like Zhou Zi Shu a lot. But, the way Lao Wen and the others treated him by hiding his big plan was... I don't know what I'm feeling. Zi Shu is not a foolish type of character from what I observed. He knows when to keep to himself and never forced Lao Wen to disclose all his secrets to him, even when he suspected. And the whole plan had a lot of people in it - knowing that would've been a good thing for Zi Shu. He wouldn't get worried. Or Lao Wen could've knocked him out for a week using Drunk- Like Dream drug instead. I know he cared too much about Ah' Xu and needed him to have a rest, but even in EP33 and the drinking in EP34 couldn't get me in the right mood. (I was spoilt about Ah' Xiang and Wei Ning's plight and knew what to expect. But, I was unprepared for this sudden attack of sadness for Zi Shu. There is too much suffering for Lao Wen cause of that one single decision.)
Help me out. The first episode should really grab you and pull you in. It's just not happening for me. And don't…
I finished the first episode after four days of watching it bit by bit. I too, did not find it pull worthy. But, I'm planning to slowly continue watching it along with something else and not try binging it in one go.
I never saw him as an airhead, I saw it as him hoping their relationship isn't actually happening before his very…
I'm 7 months late. But, I do feel sympathetic towards him. He was a nice guy. I wanted him to face her and listen to his Boss's advice. Maybe things would've changed.
Don't worry about it. I started watching dramas in the middle on 2019, so while I'm quite up-to-date with 2020…
Here ya go: https://m.douban.com/movie/subject/35063918/?from=subject-page It was also mentioned in The Community tab of AvenueX's channel last December. But, as you said, chances of them even managing to keep the same cast is not really, really high. Not to mention that S1 itself was filmed in November 2018. Maybe they'll all be less engaged by the end of the year? Lets hope for the best. :)

I actually watched those extras last year. :D I counted the timing and the whole clips are roughly 49-50 minutes. (The final version of the drama had each episode roughly 37-40 minutes long) I think the other cut parts were Ming Yu's convo with the assassin at the end and Jian Bu Zhi and Zhao Wo Huan's apology.) I also think that they lacked a lot of money to completely realize the whole thing. But, they did try to add the final part of the real Jian Bu Zhi being in Japan - the man who jumped off the mountain mentioned it in his flashback. The original ending would've made the mystery more of a mystery. I sort of guessed some of the ambiguous stuff which was not explained, but it'd have been better if it was mentioned somewhere in the drama. And I skipped watching AVX video last year cause it was 15 minutes long, so I just watched it now. :D Yep, I read your conversation with NotThatHisa, which is why I decided to wat h AvenueX's video although it was long. Thanks! :D A page for rhe 2nd season is already up in douban since December last year, but not much information. I just hope that they stick with the quality and pace and also not kill any of the people in that group photo. Thanks, Cho Na! :D
I am so far, far behind on dramas... The only one I've watched out of the list is Ancient Detective. I had many of them gathering dust on my PTW for a while, but never picked them up. Your short summary about Mystic Pop Up Bar makes me want to watch it. :) Between, thanks for linking the article, Cho Na. :D
I actually like this drama. But, one thing that irks me is the subtitles. I keep feeling that a lot of shortcuts and summaries of the actual sentences are used and not the whole translation. I might be wrong, but this is the first time I've experienced this.
It began airing in YoYo Fun Station as a mini drama. But, I have a feeling that they will only be subtitled slowly. Meet By Window, another Mini drama has only one episode subtitled till date even though it began airing about a month ago.
Drama not bad but don’t ready like the ending. The FL never ask about the dad and just want the 2nd ML to become…
The guy left for America and his parents' plan was to get him settled there, which is what I think happened. He left a letter pretty much telling Qing Tong to forget about him and their relationship and how he was leaving. And Jin Bu seemed to regret trying to pair her mom up with him. So, the ending made sense to me in a way. Not satisfying, but the only right way.
