Tian Xi Wei appreciation here!!!! She's so cool, along with her character, without sacrificing her femininity.…
I was worried that in the drama she would be confined only to rescuing women and children, traditionally ok areas for women to display strength and aggression. So yes.
An uninformed hope: a lonely QianQian (sans the tragic QiMin) finds consolation with our sad 2ML, Li HuaiAn. Creepy Grandpa Li should be satisfied with some sort of Prince Consort to the Mother of the now or future Emperor (not sure for whom ML will end being the Regent).
Does anyone think it's a little weird that CY can't read? If her dad and mom aren't actual farmers, I would think…
@sanetaa, yes I do think its a little weird. I havent really worked out why she is like that, and probably it is better to wait until this arc is over. Some of people's ideas sound good, but still.
We could call this arc, "growing up time" -- for ChangYu (learning about how things work) and for JiuHeng (learning about love). Hopefully CY will stop being such a doofus.
If she was more literate in the novel, then what function does making her into a really wild innocent soul in the tv drama have? My instinct would be that it is part of the way the ML is also reshaped. He needs and wants that simplicity and purity.
The romance is really only just getting started. I wonder if it will even more different from the novel soon?
I have to get going but on a distracting note -- the more I see of Xie Wu Brother the more I think he is on my minor hotties list. He wears armor well, can hold his own in closeups and one-on-one with the leads and has really good reaction-shot capability. Nice jawline too.
One thing I have to appreciate about Cdramas, even in a normal peck on the lips, they can create so much tension.…
It seems to me that there are whole swathes of cultural preferences/different regions/different time periods/different art histories for the settings for love stories.
That relentless hyper-irony of south korean work is a blessing for some people, for others it doesnt work well.
Ep25 I thought that was really good eye-fluttering between Gongsun and the GP. It really felt sweet. (He is only 25, but the voice helps make him more mature)
Ep25 I dont really understand why we dont know the out come of the Marquis' (counter?)attack on the small deployment with General Shi Yue? Is that bec we are sticking with the POV of cy at this moment? So did the Marquis succeed? And did she actually trade SYQ physically for the food or just extort the food by threatening to hurt him?
"Yan Zheng, What do you think? " LMAO
I hate loose ends and unhappy 2MLs.

Are you guys talking about the novel? Or the reviews?
