After 4 episodes I'm hooked. The acting from most of the cast, especially Kang TaeOh and Kim Sejeong is truly…
I am a fan of angry proud little girls whose ears stick out. Even or maybe especially the evil ones. She brings a renaissance prince-viciousness and cold calculation into her love story with Prince Je Hoon. who is sadly fated to be a victim of that love, I predict..
Somehow I am always surprised at how enjoyeable and relaxing, sageuk can be. Just sit back and watch your expectations be fulfilled, well or badly. In this case very nicely.
The body swap finally occurred well into the story. It should be more interesting this way. The two leads are already changing, already almost in love, have already saved each other a dozen times from the whole gamut of royalty on the run dangers.
Its really great that they meet outside the palace this way. Now of course, they will have to go back in to the palace intrigue, switched, but firm allies now,
Sigh, you are right… it’s one of those things we just have to suspend our disbelief and accept what happened.…
I knew this was coming because of the start of ep1 with the bus=sleep romantic daydream. sets up a parallel to the rom-com Cinderella event. Wonderful as it is you already have the feeling that we are back down to earth and the near-bankruptcy.
I do love the way our smitten ML goes around trying to find trees, but not knowing her name was very stupid unless he was so freaked out in the hospital that he forgot to look at her ID when he signed off as her guardian? But didnt he also hear her name during the fumbled introductions to her ex?
Now is the point where after the entire financial world of the lead character explodes, you start to try to figure out if there is really no one to help? The upstairs tenant -- he has the baby and makes no money, and anyway he pays rent which helps.... Her sister, apparently, would either be arrested or beaten up by criminals were she to come out of hiding. What about her sister's husband's family. Was it all a lie about them being so upper class? I guess so.
I was impressed by the tenacity of the FL -- how did she manage to get a short-term loan?
man, looking at the comments here I start to question some you guys' tastes and even know how to watch a drama.…
Shows written for Asian woman to enjoy and vibe with, i would say. The audience in asia still tilts female. So, the FMC in fantasy doesnt have to hide her mistrust of her partner or her wish she could put herself first. For westerners it isnt as real an experience. For women, that is. That massively unconscious entitlement of men in some relatively developed societies where women are written out of the public sphere, I dont see it now the way it was 50 years ago. Now we speak and are listened to. The issue is invisibility; the fantasy is to be visible.
ep 7-8 -- and that is classic kdrama! Fights and parents and kisses and loyal friends. Nothing better than love getting the better of us all and there STILL BEING FOUR MORE EPISODES!!! Jump-up-and-down excited!

Was her name so common?
