Love Triangles and Bromance is just another stupid excuse to force us to watch another person intruding into the…
It isnt the tropes, it is how well they are used. Do they have punch, a little twist? Do they move the plot along? How do they compare to other 2MLs/love triangles/bromances that you do like?
I hate to say it, but if you really cant enjoy tropes/motifs/recycled plots and still think you can stand watching endless numbers of shows made FOR TV you may want to rethink your viewing choices.
Just stick with Netflix originals designed for westerners, or better yet, watch movies -- 1/20th the time to get annoyed.
ep5 The body swap is better than expected but I need a clearer signal about the 'internal reswap'. That is, when they are alone together and having a long discussion we see them regain their own faces, clearly a depiction of inner realities.
The kiss -- I didnt know where to look.
While the visuals generally indicate their return to their swapped body reality, I really struggle to see clearly where they enter the internal POV. Am I missing something obvious?
He he he he...... I don't know which member you are referring to....My opinion is -Cheating is not legally punishable…
Yes, the FL is insanely lucky, thank god for kdrama.....it sounds like you actually have a lot of sympathy for the poor thing. This sort of self-absorbed misery that the FL is blinded by is annoyingly prevalent in kdrama heroines right now. 1. Its a plot device. 2.its an opportunity for the FL to have a character arc. 3. Life in Korea is really really difficult, and the fantasies of kdrama are a way for Koreans to get through it.
There are all kinds of ways in which the uncommunicative self-absorbed frightened stereotype FL works for the primary audiences for kdrama -- that is to say women in their 30s to 50s in Asia and the Mideast. Her struggles and triumphs and comic problems both gain the audiences sympathy and lets them have a good laugh at their own problems and anxieties.
Pretty annoying for westerners, but then we arent the main psychological audience the writers write for.

Re 3, yes but shes not 'useless' just severely downtrodden by constant struggle and failure to find a 'good' job in which you have to include her struggles to get some kind of semi-academic qualification. She's not the best at school and she is over-sensitized to criticism at this point. The crappy way interviewers treat job-seekers isnt fictional. The wage/pay/power gap between the Korean upper classes and everyone else is real and intractable. Making it be her fault is looking at it from your world where maybe social mobility is easier? Or office jobs are available to people who arent great students? yes, she really needs to grow in confidence and given a chance she seems to be able to do so on her own. She doesnt need Prince Charming Fairy godfather to help her to change, she just needs the chance at a job.
Kwak Dong Yeon! Back to be the downtrodden cook aka REnted in Finland again? He will be great, but... Ever since his "single father" take in Queen of Tears I have been waiting to see him work as an actor!
The Government procurement plot (PPS deal) in EP11 and 12 was kinda solid, the idea of direct sourcing with factory…
I really like the realism too. The overall arc of constant difficulties and almost constant failures overcome by steadfastness and tenacity -- that is the narrative many successful businesspeople tell? As for their ventures getting foiled often by Pyo Marine, its nasty. I feel I should hang in there, of course we will find the promissory note.
I’ve not caught up with all the episodes yet. But I just need to gush, so here we go.(I’ve only watched till…
I never know where to pipe up with my more esoteric opinions but the scene dressing is absolutely fantastic in this show. It is very difficult to set up crowded spaces with period details and not make them look sentimental on the one hand, or really trashed on the other. The scene setters work is really good, enough details to focus on and enjoy, and that lived-in feel without utter chaos. Colors are good too.
The FL character is very downbeat, with trouble asserting herself. I hope Ahn Ein Jin makes the most out of a proper character transformation. No more humbly looking up at him, bowed head, rounded shoulders.

In the Atypical Family he did misery vibes so well, I never expected this frothy adorableness.
The rhythm of the dialogue is almost at 30's 'screwball comedy' speed and lightness.
lovely stuff.
