On Had I Not Seen the Sun Part 2 19 hours ago
I'm confused over the timeline. When does the roof top Christmas happen? They agreed to meet 5 years later, he doesn't get out of juvie until 7 years later, the decorations on the roof tell us she went there.

But I'm on episode 8 and it just hit me that I don't know where that meeting fits. Hsiao Tung sees the video of herself and had a breakdown. She has massive plastic surgery and recovery from it and then becomes Tien Ching. But Tien Ching wouldn't have known of the Christmas meeting. But Pin Yu remembers going there in episode 8.

I've got two more episodes so maybe they explain it more or maybe I'm missing something?

Similar premise how? I don't think there's been an agreed engagement between the leads from a former generation…
I haven't watched any of this just read the summary, elements sounded similar. I don't normally bother with live action versions if I've already read the manga/manhwa.

Watched episode 1, but the preview made it look like we're heading down love triangle territory.
Nope no love triangle to be seen. His brother is trying to stir the pot a little but there's nothing actually there.

Since they are already making a whole show about messy office scandals, and even marketed it as "29+"…
I've got my fingers crossed but my expectations low just in case, lol.

I'm really hoping they handle this properly since the second female lead is written to have feelings for the him,…
wouldn't that be a perfect plot line for such a drama though? Older man having an office affair with his young co-worker? Pretty classic.

It's a 19+ romcom though so hopefully that means they'll shake things up a little, maybe venture outside the box. Considering the whole plot revolves around office affairs and the like it would be an interesting angle.

Title Sniper Butterfly Spoiler
5 episodes in and I'm having a hard time shipping our couple but intrigued enough to keep going. The storyline is great. It's just in the past timeline this 19 year old kid is so broken and passive and feels like hero worship rather than legit feelings. And in the present day so far all he's done is get drunk and force himself on her twice. So like he's mostly coming off as damaged and immature so far, past and present. Looking forward to the character growth.

Just starting this. One thing I'm confused over is Wu graduated high school right? So what's this repeat year he's doing? Is it some sort of bridging program between high school and university? Or like a prep class for the entrance exam? lol, pausing to do a deep dive on Chinese university admissions :P

because the last scene in 11 is like 42 minutes into episode 12.
lol yeah I pieced it together once I got further into 12. So confused for a moment there.

I don't think this is a bad drama - if you were hoping for a healing romance where they end up happily ever after I can see why it would be disappointing. There are things that could have been better explained but overall it's a story about two people who love each other learning to let go. Which is a story worth telling even if that's not your cup of tea.

That being said I'm not sure I want to sit through another hour of slow melancholy to watch them finally break up in person. It's funny, when I saw the airport scene yesterday I thought, "that'd be a good ending but they wouldn't spoil the ending". Jokes on me! Having seen the ending, I'm not sure there's much in the last hour I'm curious enough to watch.

Gonna mark this as done and move on.

half way through episode 9 right now and all this talk of a warm break up feels like foreshadowing tbqh.
Actually the three periods of waiting feels a little foreshadow-y too. I think they are going to have a third break up, in person, this one warm and amicable. Maybe that airport scene? Eun Ah will go to Hawai'i and they will enter their third period of waiting. And the show will either end with them back together or an open ending where they meet again living in the same place. (Maybe she turns her family home back into a vacation spot).

The comments saying there's not a lot of romance here definitely want different things from romance dramas that I do because I'm only 10 episodes in and I feel well fed so far. I mean sure, their current preoccupation with each other isn't about love, it's about her career and his trauma. But I can work with that.

Misunderstandings will happen in long distance relationships ,so u have to communicate and confront ur partners…
He wasn't single for 10 years. He mentions in one episode that he did briefly date a woman, he knew her for a year before dating her for a month. In Eun Ah's case she's known her ex for 10 years and dated him 3 months. As far as dating experience goes, I think they are pretty on par.

My mister was her best work.
I tried it. Twice in fact. But I remember it just felt heavy and depressing and couldn't care enough to continue it. Of the three I've attempted My Liberation Notes was my fave, and I'd wager Mr. Gu had a lot to do with that.
