I hope they do have a final talk, after all he probably think she cheated and it is understandable for her to…
When he breaks up with her I didn't get the impression that he believed she cheated. 'you're not wrong but I'm not either". He was clearly jealous and insecure of the ex though (with good reason imo) and I think that whole encounter was just the last straw for a man already stretched thin.
I put off watching the last two ep. because I could see they were not going to be happy ones from miles away.…
I'm enjoying it, but I also only picked this up last week so I didn't have the experience of weekly soul crushing that I guess a lot of the folks here did.
This writer is hit or miss for me. I dropped Another Miss Oh, couldn't get into My Mister further than the pilot but loved My Liberation Notes. Tentatively going to give this a try.
Its best if the end it as if they dont end up together because they aren’t good for each other obviously
Well none of their issues are things that can't be worked on. Communication is a learned skill, Eun Ah can learn to be better at communicating properly with her partner. And their main problem other than that is neither of them are great with long distance. Put them in the same place and beef up those communication skills and they're golden. Whether the drama intends on showing that kind of growth or not remains to be seen.
I don't think there's enough in the preview to determine that. It opens with Tae Seo saying he hates goodbyes…
Saying I love you doesn't necessarily mean they are back together. I mean she originally went to shake his hand which doesn't scream couple to me. But yeah we'll see. I'm surprised it's a clip from episode 9 though cause I'm not sure how we get to sobbing break ups to sad goodbyes in airports. All will be answered tomorrow I guess.
Not understanding the Korean and going by body language this reads more like a goodbye?
Lol now I'm worried if their gonna do the whole "let's separate for a year and meet again and all our problems will be magically fixed" kind of ending.
When they were kids they both picked out a trait. Eun Ah wanted to be independent and Tae Seo wanted to be resilient. And I actually think those traits ended up being their weakness.
I really related to ml here, and loved the fl's personality in the first half. But they really butchered her character…
I don't think she's inconsistent, she's 10 years older and hasn't really dealt with the grief of her father's death. She wouldn't be the same person she was at 19.
Do I interpret the preview of ep 9 correct ? They miraculously come back together and try a long distance relationship…
I don't think there's enough in the preview to determine that. It opens with Tae Seo saying he hates goodbyes and Eun Ah saying "Enough". A Sol asks him out. Eun Ah goes by his place but they don't meet. A Sol tells him Eun Ah had been there the other day. And then the final bit of the preview asks "is it okay to go back to you like this"
So my interpretation is they are apart for most of the episode, A Sol makes her move, Maybe they keep trying to talk but keep missing each other or maybe Eun Ah is trying to find him but keeps missing him. And I assume they'll likely meet near the end of the episode and finally have a conversation.
Am I the only one who’s confused why did they end things, yet again, in the last ep? Was she trying mistakenly…
I think Tae Seo was pretty clear. He says it's all too much. He's dealing with his grandmother in the hospital, feeling responsible for his brother and grandfather, making plans to eventually move back home to take care of them. He and Eun Ah aren't connecting, are facing another potential separation because the things they want are in different cities. He says neither of them are wrong, her place is there at the guesthouse, his is at home and trying to make things work over that distance is too hard. I don't really think the ex-boyfriend factors much into it at all other than perhaps being a bit of a source of jealousy and insecurity that adds on top of all the other stuff.
If you want a drama with a happy healthy relationship where they support one another and communicate well go elsewhere, you won't find that here.
If you want a somewhat depressive slow exploration of two adults who love each other but can't seem to do anything but make each other more miserable then it's actually an interesting watch. I think the problem is the audience wants the green flag happy relationship and this melodrama simply isn't telling that kind of story. As someone who picked this up recently with few expectations of plot I don't know what kind of marketing was done.
It'll be interesting to see how they clue this up. Their relationship as adults was fraught with a lack of communication and insecurity. You could tell they really wanted to make it work but kept fumbling to do so. More frustrating still is that they don't seem to have anyone else in their lives to lean on either, while both are shown to have friendships there's not a whole lot of communication happening in those relationships either. Leaving both characters feeling very isolated within the narrative.
My question for the last two episodes is will they reunite again and can the drama convince me they can make it work a third time? Or will they finally part ways and be able to let one another go for good. And honestly I'm not sure which outcome I want. I don't hate the female lead or her choices like many of the comments here. She's not making good choices but I find her flaws interesting rather than frustrating (it likely helps that I binge watched the available episodes). I think they both have work to do and I'm curious to see if the drama will show that. Or if they'll just magically find a way to put them both in the same city and that makes all their problems go away.
if you want a happy fluffy relationship this is not the drama for you. They're relationship as teenagers is sweet and fun, long distance in college pulls them apart. They reunite as adults 10 years later and it's a lot more dysfunctional with more communication issues, they break up a second time. We don't know yet if this will end with them getting back together a third time or not. I'm enjoying the melodrama of it but a lot of people seem to hate it.
I realize a 19+ rating doesn't just mean sex but it's a romcom so I'm not exactly expecting copious amounts of…
Guess I'm adjusting expectations. Especially since ratings vary wildly by country and Canada sometimes seems to rate things lower. I fear the "29+" hype early this year may have inflated my expectations lol.
