I completely agree; I think her knowing him through an action of his will absolutely be key to his "People…
Aw thanks. I'm really enjoying this one. It's a great blend of genres and I find the characters easily relatable. I think the drama has done a great job fleshing them out into interesting characters.
Saw a couple posts point out scenes we haven't seen yet! One of Se Na hugging him in the rain with a yellow umbrella, and another of the two of them at an aquarium! Can't wait.
I think people dismiss their fleeting teenage meeting too easily. I think it's gonna be the key to their relationship (maybe this is obvious and I'm preaching to the choir?). La Ik's major issue is people not liking the real him, only liking the shell. But Se Na became his fan /because/ she liked him prior to fame not simply because he was famous. His act of kindness, his song, saved her and it's what made her a fan in the first place.
Its so interesting to me the comments saying:dropping it because of the romance. I think this drama is doing a…
considering this is exactly what's written on the tin I'm not sure what people were expecting from a drama clearly marketed as a fan/idol romance. I think it's pretty grounded considering. I mean we knew from the get go that she's both his fan and his lawyer and that this a romance. Any moral/ethical questions a viewer might have regarding those relationships really should have come up before episode 6, I would think.
I think in some ways the drama making Se Na a real fan, behaving as many fans do, takes some of the shine off the fantasy. And that makes some folks uncomfortable. They were fine with the fan/idol romance until the fan had a "cringe" moment. But I like the balance it's trying to strike here. It's a not a drama where the fan gets swept off her feet by her idol and they all lived happily ever after. If anything her status as a fan is a detriment to their relationship that they are now going to have to work through.
Only in terms of general plot elements (ie escaping to a small town) but definitely not in tone or characterization imho. This is leaning way more into slightly absurd comedy.
Will Sena give up her fangirling hobbies? Worst, will she start to be ashamed of it? It was her only comfort in…
Se Na showed no interest in fandom before realizing La Ik was the guy from the river so honestly if she ends up with him I kind of see her giving it up or at least toning down.
Am I the only one who hopes that Raik won’t return to stardom in the end? Maybe like small acoustic gigs here…
I don't think it's based on anything so not sure there are spoilers re the ending but it's a romcom at heart so I expect a happy ending here regardless.
can someone spoil what does Seon jae Gyu do ? just saw some scenes haven't watched both the episodes yetno way…
Haven't read the source material but in the show he works at a solar power plant and that's all we know. I think the "thugs" are just part of the continued misunderstandings surrounding the characters. The whole point, imo, is that people have judged him unfairly based on appearance.
The rating is already down to 7.9. I wonder how low it will drop once the drama finishes. Is it actually bad?
I hate the ratings on this site so much. If you enjoy non-serious romcoms this is a treat. Everything is just a little over the top but hilarious. If you're looking for realism here you won't find it. I assume the comedy isn't hitting for some people or folks just hate romcoms.
She cheated first. Remember when the journalist, CEO, manager and Ra-Ik were in the meeting, and Ra-Ik said he…
When she's ranting about why she cheated she implies it's because he didn't publicly acknowledge her (or something to that effect, I can't check right now). So I wonder if he denied the dating rumors before that meeting we see with the reporter. And the meeting we saw was just further denial. Without knowing when that meeting took place it's hard to say.
At the end of the day it's still a romcom and will behave as such.
