I think the reason I'm having such a mental block with these two is that we have yet to see any of the good parts of their relationship that might inspire such loyalty or understanding from La Ik. We've only seen the break up and aftermath.
Based on what he know so far about Hye Joo and La Ik is that he denied the dating rumours, which apparently pissed her off and made her feel lonely - which is kind of fair honestly. But her response to that was to cheat on him. Then he not only continues to cover for her, but signs a bad contract to keep that secret. Meanwhile she breaks up with him while still somehow making the whole thing his fault
And now, years later, she barging back into his life, making demands and trying to control things. And he's still trying to keep her out of it.
I still think there's something else going on? He made a point of saying she was worried about him talking to a prosecutor. Like she had done something illegal that he was hiding for her.
I can't understand his loyalty for her, while simultaneously telling her to get out of his life. It feels like I'm still missing parts of that puzzle.
I do not get La Ik and Hye Joo's relationship at all. She seems delusional and he keeps protecting her for reasons I can't fathom.
More and more it's looking like the manager or CEO is the culprit. I'm also letting go a little on my theory that La Ik was the real target. If Woo Seong was making moves to leave Goldie Entertainment and take the rest of the boys with him that's a huge motive for someone from the company to kill him (or have him killed). But honestly I'm more leaning towards the CEO doing some shady money laundering than I am him being a killer.
La Ik singing the same song to her ~15 years later, my heart!!
I'm increasingly wondering if some people even watched the drama properly up to this episode. ML is literally…
Yeah I don't get how anyone watches episode 1-5 and doesn't see this. It's not like the drama is being cagey about it. They spent 5 episodes being very blunt and upfront about it.

I think you're asking a lot of someone clearly still struggling a lot with mental health issues re: just this kind of thing. Right now he can't separate her from those other fans and he's likely questioning their every interaction and her motivations therein. She's broke an extremely fragile trust and it's gonna take a moment for him to process. He gets all the leeway from me tbqh.
I get that he feels a little betrayed but MSN has been nothing but kind and cordial to him. I’m a little peeved…
Think about how traumatized this guy has been by basically everyone around him except his dead friend. He told us how he feels like a commodity and people only like Idol La Ik and not the real him. And now he finds out that his lawyer whom he trusted, felt safe with and was beginning to fall for was a fan the whole time. So now, as far as he's concerned, she's just like everyone else. The rug has been completely pulled from underneath him.
I knew the fall out was coming but idk if I have it in me to watch this episode and then wait a whole week for the resolution. Maybe I just come back next Tuesday and hope it's all fixed and binge watch all 3, 😂
I was hoping we'd avoid the cliche of him realizing she's been lying by omission and cutting her off./getting…
idk this is a man who sees himself as a commodity because everyone around him has treated him as such. As far as he's concerned no one approaches him without ulterior motives. And now someone he thought was in his corner ends up being a fan, and he's forced to question why she was even helping him to begin with. Do we think he'll be able to separate her from the stalker fans or will he, like many here in the comments, lump them all together and need time before he can trust her again?
I love this drama, I do. But in a way it's kind of flattened the concept from season 1. Which is fine, it's kept the parts I enjoy lol. The private prison thing always felt like the weakest link to me anyway.
But by season 3 they are able to do these elaborate cons where the perpetrators may or may not be dead (because it isn't always clear cut) and yet are never once on the police radar - like they have literally run people down in daylight?! Go Eun must spend half her time scrubbing them from CCTV or something.
It's not really a complaint. It just feel a bit divorced from reality. Which is fine cause I'm mostly here to watch our crew outwit criminals anyway, lol.
Poor Ra Ik is going to be devastated when he finds out that Se Na is a fangirl. He honestly thinks nobody likes…
I was hoping we'd avoid the cliche of him realizing she's been lying by omission and cutting her off./getting angsty But unfortunately I think that's definitely in the cards with this one.
We are not getting anywhere with murder mystery, if they keep it going this drama will loose it's charm
There's 7 more episode and I'd wager they aren't solving it until the end. Looks like each week is focusing on a new suspect, adding a little more detail each time. The murder mystery isn't really the point of the plot, it's a plot device to explore the characters. We add a little more to their backgrounds with each episode.
Okay now I'm confused by the timeline. Her GED booklet states 2010. So she had dropped out of school and her father had been accused of murder somewhere around the time. But her parents die in 2012. First her father in March, then her mother in April.
I suppose she could have been using an older book to study or there's some other reason her parents died in 2012. I hope they firm up this timeline soon. The only date I know for sure is that Goldboyz debuted in 2015.

I'm not ready for the angst next week.
