I think I might have all of the people talking bad about the show blocked. I've only seen nice comments down below,…
It's pretty much just one user I think who hates fluff and thinks it's sanitized gay stuff for teenage girls and "real" gay dramas should at least acknowledge sexual attraction.
But yes, thank goodness for the block button.
And honestly I'm watching this and Thundercloud Rainstorm so having a bit of wholesome fluff is a great palette cleanser to that sexy mess, lol.
I think the small children were like foster children that the female lead's mother cared for.
They were foster kids, not permanent placements. So there was a revolving door of kids in and out of the house as needed. So presumably when mom got sick they were taken off the foster list. There is a scene of some of the kids leaving in one of the episodes.
Okay this looks just as ridiculous as expected and I'm here for it!! The trailer looks hilarious and Typhoon Family made me want Jun Ho in an action drama so, superficially, I'm here for him punching people lol.
Any other problems? It says so in the blurb. Don't you find out what it's about before you watch something? And…
the drama hasn't yet, it's a webtoon spoiler. But a fairly obvious one I think because the majority of writers are going to cop out on doing something that controversial.
whoaaaa. nobody is actually talking about the story!
The story is fine so far. Nothing's really happened yet. She's an extroverted girl with mental health issues and rich controlling family. He's an average, unremarkable guy who can't quite get over her and is resentful towards her for reasons we don't yet know.
Looks like there's gonna be some rich family political shenanigans with her brother-in-law trying to take over the company and her sister is trying to rope in the male lead to help stop that for some reason. Not really clear on why she's dragging him into it or why she can't just talk to her sister.
I'm intrigued by their past relationship - more so their reunion at 28 because we don't know much about why they got back together then or why they broke up (but safe money is on her family interfering) - less intrigued the potential chaebol nonsense.
Seems some folks are taking issue with the tropes at play, specifically the male lead not moving on and/or (seemingly) not having any other love interests on screen.
Holy moly, that's freaking long!I should have been concise with my view.Apologies if it seemed more like a rant…
We start in 2007 so they've known each other 18 years. They're first relationship didn't last long because she's gone before they put off their play. And they tell us they meet again at 28 and break up again but we don't know anything about that relationship yet.
So I guess it depends on when we start counting.
ETA: I went back to watch the last convo with her sister and she says "Were you 28? You and Ji Woo. After Ji Woo left and your father's treatment was over you spent a year drunk" So if we're counting from that moment it's been 10 years.
Not to sound "not like other girls" but I am honestly beginning to think I come at dramas differently than a lot of people? I don't need find the characters likable or sympathetic, I don't need to agree with their behaviour, I don't need them to match my morals, I don't even need to find them romantic, I just enjoy characters that make me examine human behaviours.
In reality would I find a man hung up on an ex attractive? Not really. But, for me, it makes for fascinating fiction. Why is he so hung up on this lost love, why does she have this hold on him? Why didn't it work out before? Can it work out now?

"but you, as an audience, do want to see something in the main characters that you can follow up on, if not with appreciation, than certainty with intrest. There's nothing remotely interesting about someone who can't say no when it matters"
I mean you're entitled to your opinion but the wording of this feels like projection? Who's to say I'm not interested in this character or why he is the way he is?
A lot of this is your own opinion on this particular trope, which you are welcome to, personally I don't think it's unrealistic that some people hold on to lost loves and can't move past them (it's a popular romance trope after all) and I'm curious to see why they didn't work and how they might work now.
This particular user is obsessed with fact that dramas don't parade the male leads sexual history on screen. This…
Lol sorry no, I meant the one who started the narrative you're talking about! I think there are a few but one user in particular comes on drama pages all the time to make the same complaints. And their comments on this page is what started the discussion on virginity

This is the kind of damage I love in a story.
