OMG THANK YOU for this review, I thought I was going crazy seeing all the hype and views this thing has and how it's nothing but absolute dross. I made it to episode 11 and I just couldn't continue. I literally agree with every single word in your review. I can't believe how highly rated this drama is, I seriously can't. I can see this being popular with maybe 13 or 14 year old girls, or someone who expects basically zero plot or character development to occur. The male lead is a Gary Stu, the female lead a Mary Sue and the rest of the cast acted like they were in junior high. I just can't take this story seriously. Actually, what story?
If people like Yang Yang because he's pretty then this is absolutely for them, because there is all there is to this drama, but I can't believe how little angst, conflict or plot this drama has. Basically, there was nothing relatable about the characters, who were basically perfect all the way through. I like the cold, quiet, overachieving asshole heroes, I am convinced they can be done well, but this was not a good portrayal of the trope at all. I am so glad I decided to drop this because if what you're saying about the rest of the drama is true, it's a complete waste of time.
