There hasn't been a single episode I haven't laughed at least a couple of times and I'm already on episode 8...which is impressive to me, because this level of creative comedy is so hard to do well. Some are complaining that not much is going on in the heavenly realm, but clearly the story is set up so that most of the political stuff is happening in the void in the beginning. Having political unrest in both realms would be overkill. The heavenly plot focuses way more on the chemistry between the main couple, which gives the story much needed balance and is probably a set up for the leads becoming close before something majorly painful happens.
I assume we're in for a huge shift in the heavenly plot and the stakes will be far higher than just the succession fight in the Void. Youqin is basically the most powerful being alive, so he'll have lots to do later on.
Anyone watching this drama and Journey of Chongzi, which one is better in your opinion?
Starry Love in way better imho. There hasn't been a single episode I haven't been thoroughly entertained. I had to drop Chongzi after just two episodes. I could tell the directing, editing, casting, and creative decisions were just subpar at best.
So picky it has only been 12 episodes out of the 40. You need know the characters or you wont feel bad, happy…
I really dislike this idea that people need to push through 12 or 20 episodes to really get the drama or else they're being unfair. That's far too much to ask. It's not being picky when you decide to drop something you're not liking, it's supposed to be entertainment, not a chore.
It's not a body suit, he does weight training quite a bit and has gained a lot of muscle over the last couple of years which is so hot and unusual in Cdramaland.
His smile is very cute but his styling here does not favors him at all
I don't love the wig but somehow his style has grown on me. It may also be that we'll get to see him with multiple different looks in this by the time the drama is over, so it's not a big deal.

True...it takes some time...but fortunately CXX is still very young. He was only 22 when GMP aired, and is now 26. From his MDL page, he has quite a few projects lined up . PXR however, she's already 32 so she may not be as lucky.

The general consensus has always been that GMP was actually as great as it was because of the charm, looks and charisma of Chen Xing Xu, not that PXR wasn't great in it too.
