The CGI for this is amazing though...it's been pure eye candy at times. As for the sets, I can kinda understand them not being the absolute best, but still very well made for the most part, unlike others *ahem* Pillow Book *ahem*. It's basically on par with AOS with better CGI.

I just did but tbh none of that will make sense to anyone who isn't fully caught up so they're mild spoilers. Having said that, beware because this comment section is basically full of spoilers, it has been super relaxed from the start.

Yeah I think it just seems that way at times because some of their scenes go on a bit long and because the second CP is so strong, but doubt they actually have more screentime.

This....sometimes I don't get all the love for Wudai, he's funny but he's boorish and idotic. Definitely likeable as pure comedy relief but totally disagree that the void CP should be Wudai and QK. Who would ever choose Wudai when you have CF right next to you wooing you. It makes the romance that much better, even if he's a cunning liar lol.

Not really tbh...this is still very much the main cp's story, and if anyone were to actually time it, I doubt the second couple actually has more screentime overall. It's just that the supporting CP is such a vital part to the plot, not mere filler. But at present I'd say it's more like 50/50.

Today's episode was so heartwarming. La Mu has such a heart of gold, torn between the desire to the save the villagers who literally want to kill him and to be with the first person who has shown him what acceptance means. Be still my heart. And in the white clothes, with his hair done, he actually looks so attractive. The revelation of just how much abuse Yetan suffered as a child, including physical just makes me like her more.

Also...that sister reunion, that was so touching. That sis bond is the cornerstone of the drama.

I see huge trouble brewing for Chaofeng and Qingkui...they're headed towards a painful collision. Too many lies, half-truths. It's going to be painful af when they have to eventually choose and IDK if CF can truly let go of his ambitions for QK's heart. Honestly, this plot is amazing.

Thanks so much...that's exactly what I heard. The interviews do seem a bit off on her end but not sure why. I'll definitely watch this drama next. It was already high on my list prior to Starry.
