Is she actually "in love" or just infatuated with him? She's a natural protector type and a healer and he's a prime example of someone a girl like her would be tempted to "fix".

Currently watching FIL and I couldn't agree more. He really nails the antihero type but Starry Love is allowing him to showcase just how big his range truly is. He just oozes charisma on-screen, even as Youqin 1.0

Not Chinese but it seems to be doing very well. The general chatter on weibo is mostly positive, we'll have to wait for the Douban score. As for charts, I've seen it top a couple of charts a few times and hover in the top three and top two consistently, which is remarkable for a drama not headlined by a big name or a "traffic star". This is literally Luke Chen's first project and CXX isn't a liuliang. It won't topple The Knockout on any charts because that's literally one of the most succesful dramas of all time, as in - record breaking. The heat index has been pretty good having reached 9000. We'll have to see if it can reach 10,000.

I feel like a broken record but I literally can't wait for the next ep. I haven't been bored for one second watching this and I don't think that's ever happened to me with a xianxia...even the ones I've loved the most like TMOPB and Love and Destiny. The entire sequence of Man Man as the Emperor...oh my God, the comedy just kept evolving until they milked every little bit of potential laughter out of it.
