the ones I like are a bit on the older longer side with a strong female lead.
-Queen Seon Deok (2009) -Dong Yi (2010) -Bridal Mask (2012) [under japanese rule era] a newer one from the same era Mr Sunshine (2018) -Empress Ki (2013) -Goddess Of Fire (2013) -The Flower In Prison (2016)
muito obrigada! eu adoro spoiler, para mim a opinião do outro a entender e a criar minha opinião, sobre a segunda…
you're very welcome!
for me it was watchable, not necessarily boring, just not satisfying for me. it had a lot of potential but something definitely happened during filming, turns out the female lead actress got injured at that time.
she went to the palace to protect him not the other way round.
male lead didn't want her to serve in the palace because (historically) once a girl (no matter her age) starts serving, she becomes the king's woman, even if he doesn't sleep with her she can't get married.
it's funny how the director tryna sound deep but they probably just anime fans like wdy mean white serpent with white hair bro u just finished boruto or smth
it's an adaptation from a webtoon so it has the shonen cliches. at first it reminded me of Gokusen. I really like the cast and the acting was good, it's what made me finish the show. I'm glad there are female characters, and they aren't useless which tends to happen in this genre. it's an ok show but not a 10/10 for me
I almost thought the twins might be real siblings lol they kinda look alike in the drama ji woo reminds me of hwang in yeop and her brother of kim woo bin
They went for like 2 episodes. And don't forget why they went to Vietnam in the first place. To save a fellow…
apparently they wanted to film more in vietnam but the whole crew got ill so they had to cut their journey short. some of the vietnam scenes were actually filmed in korea.
s1 was a bit dark and serious but s2 was on the note of wang dao ji's case from s1, I laughed a lot this season. I loved the fighting scenes in s1 and the car action in s2. both seasons have pros n cons so my rating is equal for both.
a bit biased on s2 bcz of shin jae ha.. he's literally 'if evil why hot?' that scene of him with blood on his face at the black sun was straight out of an anime.. unreal! him and lee je hoon could sit there doing nothing and I'd thoroughly enjoy it.
what I really disliked tho was the product placements like I get it but enough of the protein drinks, koppiko, heath drinks and beer like why did the last scene have to be a commercial?? boo
He was one the greatest Kings during that time.YAI did an outstanding job portraying his character. His Father…
idk in depth about the real historical figure's personality. in the drama he was an antagonist to me, the actor did a good job conveying this. everything was sambong's idea to begin with. from the beginning, sambong's ambition was the ppl, the royalty wasn't his priority and everyone knew that, yet suddenly bang won didn't like it? he got shocked and offended when he learnt the new royal family won't have absolute power. at the start bang won never even dreamt of becoming royalty let alone a king, so I couldn't sympathise with his craze. bang won was never out of sambong's big plan, he was just not the main character and bang won didn't like that. as much as he admired sambong, he was jealous of him. excluding the romance, I did enjoy the drama too. I also watched the sequel. I watched it on viki.
Here a regular Manhwa/ Webtoon/ Korean comic reader, I can say the plot is not good , honestly not as much good…
I'm an avid manhwa/webtoon reader and I agree, I had the same feeling. I'm surprised they didn't adapt webtoons like Insoo's Law which is pretty popular and the kdrama could easily stick to the original. I love sageuks so I'm interested in how this one will turn out.
I REALLY don't want it as a sageuk. This webtoon and novel NEEDS to be in its ' original European and Russian…
hallyu isn't diverse for a european ambience setting, it'll look odd.. a full korean cast in victorian clothes.. maybe if the story was modernised they could get away with it. I think that's the main reason they switched it to sageuk.

it's an ok show with some good points but nothing outstanding for me. tbh I couldn't relate to many of the reviews
I'm actually surprised ppl are rating it very highly, didn't expect that.

not worth it tbh
