An amazing pilot episode. Looking forward to more. Nice that the background music wasn't too overpowering. Production quality is decent too. They kept the focus in introducing the sisters first which is nice. The premise is interesting enough to continue this show.
Hmm I don’t think Go Kyung Pyo has the charisma or charm to be the ml from the dramas I’ve seen him in. Especially…
Exactly! But Song Kang is a harsh comparison lol, he wasn't just a miscast, that man can't act. He was good in Sweet Home because he didn't have to *express*.
Believe me, there’s a lot of ways to play the character she did in My Name and just being expressionless is not something to praise lol. Sure, props to her for the action and work she put in but the performance in My Name is nowhere near what the fans claim it is like.
She’s VERY monotone. That can suit SOME shows but overall her performances are not good. The last time she was decent is when she was in TWOTM and played a clueless b*tch (sorry for the language btw).
Just saw that the Director did My Roommate is a Gumiho. With all its flaws, that show was shot REALLY WELL for a K-drama. Love in Contract trailer makes me hopeful that it will be a nice visual treat too.
Have a feeling that Netflix would have made good money if it picked this up, considering how well Business Proposal and similar shows have done on the platform.
I think Netflix is ruining what we watch Kdramas for, they started with painting western values into Kdramas then…
Whatever the case, I’d say Netflix actually saved K-dramas. I was fed up on draggy 16-20 episode dramas. Almost all productions from Netflix in the last 2 years have been amazing, and are doing much better than network shows. The pacing and the quality is nice, which is making the networks work on making concise shows rather than dragging them just to fill slots. Though, a season format is something the Korean industry will take a decent amount of time to master.
Three days a week is nice strategy to get a buzz, especially during this time when major network shows are airing taking away most viewers. Will wrap it up quickly. Also, Netflix picking this up came outta nowhere.
Joy was usually complemented through the work on her co-stars who were actually good actors but this time it isn't looking that good... CYW was a terrible performer in School 2021 so unless a miracle has happened in the last few months, oof.
Big Mouth is amazing, so I don't get your comment, but eveyone is different. Again My Life and Adamas are really…
Maybe only the premiere of Big Motuh was bad then? I didnt watch second episode. It also felt a little over the top. Adamas and Again My Life Ive watched a decent amount to judge.
Had to drop this one… couldn’t keep me interested, unfortunately. Very weird how this, Adamas and Big Mouth have been somewhat of a disappointment. I hope Conglomerate’s Som matches my expectations.
