i also don't understand why cliches need to be 16 ep.
they don't need to be, but are forced to be. gotta fill them slots up somehow so that you have active programming and need to produce less dramas for the same amount. a problem that streamers don't have (netflix just averages out at 1-2 netflix k-originals + 2 monthly licensed kdramas).
I think this show is for a younger audience. I tried watching it and the actors were really mediocre and the plot…
Rowoon IS doing terrible performances lately though. He was the weakpoint in acting in both his shows this year. Song Kang is not a better actor by any means and was much worse but is comparitively bearable in this show thanks to the drama's nature and probably some decent acting classes.
Midway through episode 9 and I find Samdal's mom decidedly unlikeable. She is unreasonably stubborn and selfish.
just most asian mothers in general. it's weird that she just refuses the threatment or checkups when the family keeps on insisting... i feel like there's a part of her which thinks she deserves getting sick & dying for being the reason her friend died.
ok so it’s fun. but one would expect that in a show like this that most deaths are not murder… however they are exactly that. now I know it’s based on a WEBTOON, but it feels like they’re trying to compensate not being creative with the storytelling by having shock factor with each life’s end.
Oh I 100% think they’re doing too well for a kdrama. It’s actually somehow better than Netflix kdramas too. But yeah it’s just generally wonky at times but that’s not really a complaint.
