as much as i love bae inhyuk (i've been this man's #1 supporter since last 2 years), his performance in this is not hitting at all and does not feel like lead material — which is crazy because i know for a fact that he's a great actor.

Just researched a little: Heesu in Class 2 and 'Aquaman' were Kakao originals similar to how "Once Upon a Small Town" is. The problem? Kakao ended Kakao TV content production and services earlier this year. Hence the produced shows are not getting post-production and are essentially canceled. It was never confirmed that this show is in production and under Kakao so they never made an official statement the way Aquaman got it (which got an official cast announcement, post prod was done and in fact was rated for airing by appropriate board). I think it's safe to say that this isn't happening.

oh yeah I meant the sword dance part lol & all of them having secrets. I’m not a fan of those hand holding or saviour scenes really because they’re overdone to the point you feel nothing. I really wish they reserved such scenes where it is actually required for that dramatic effect but it’s sbs, you would be expecting too much then.

the ending bit was so cool ngl (most definitely not the acid part, wtf). like yeah if the drama is over the top, embrace it like that. give me those extra visuals and scenes & cool music.

it’s an sbs drama through & through haha. cheesy title card, horrible cgi, extra ass dialogues. but yep, I’ll tune in till it keeps me interested. yoojung is serving.

seems like they had to sell it for $5 to prime video in the end because sbs backed out of airing it... other pre-produced kdramas facing similar issues too when networks can't find the quality in the content worth enough to give up a slot. unfortunate.
