Couldn't they have made name of king and other royal members fictional like they did in Kingdom? They didn't even…
In 100DMP the king’s name is also not mentioned, not even once if i recall. 100DMP’s plot is not even controversial at all. Yes as you said, this is how it should be done.
Jang Dong Yoon is apologising! I mean why he's apologising? It's not your fault baby T_Thttps://www.facebook.com/142273450007/posts/10165069036635008/
All the main cast posted an apology... Jung Hye-sung unnie, only had like 1 minute of screentime but still posted a handwritten apology... she doesn’t need to apologize for nothing :(( It’s not their fault at all... but oh well...
MR. AN THE BEST FANBOY IN ENTIRE UNIVERSE!!! WE SHOULD WORSHIP HIM!!!
Could it be that he’s secretly gay? That would be ... pretty wholesome if true. Aside from that, he’d definitely be the chairman of Vincenzo fanclub if it exists lol.
That piano lady reveal herself saying "she used to be good with computer" in last week episode. The face of the…
She either works by herself for her own thing or she works for someone else. Not sure if she’s on the good side tho. Everyone in the plaza are very suspicious now. Especially after that tailor scissor guy flexed his skill.
1. While waiting for the 12th episode to answer the question, why do you guys think Vincenzo changed his mind about killing Jun-woo/Han-seok on spot? 2. Does anyone else feels like the piano lady is onto something big yet mysterious? She’s acting sus from the beginning and today’s episode gave her more screentime. Maybe they’ll reveal who she really is in the coming episodes.
War is coming !! Italian vs Korean mafia. Now Vincenzo is backed by Han-seo. I think Jun-woo and Myung-hee will do something radical but it will backfire at them.
I have to highlight the biblical reference as well. It is very clear when Vincen told Jun-woo to kneel while aiming a gun to his forehead. Even when humans realize that God’s wrath is upon them, their arrogance preserved still.
Guys I just realized something. If they decided to continue the drama there’s one more group that could potentially get offended but I don’t see anyone talking about them. Yep, the Catholics...
So far they portrayed almost everything wrong. The costumes? Wrong. The palace? Wrong. The characters? Wrong. The shamanism ritual? Wrong. The BG music? Wrong. The dances? WRONG! 99% sure they’ll portray the religion in a wrong way as well. Oh and not to mention they still had 14 episodes to go. That's a lot of room for Knetz's wrath..
I’m not saying that the exorcism itself is wrong. There are many other ways that they could mess it up. I don’t even want to imagine it. This drama being cancelled hurts my heart already. But it’s for the best, as I can sense more harmful things coming if they decided to carry it on...It can’t be helped... The only thing that could save this drama is if one of us took a time machine to October 2020 and tell the producers about the drama’s fate....
Lesson to all writers: Research what you’re writing about from A-Z. It doesn't have to be 100% accurate, but the more it is, the better.
Serious question: Where is the writer ??? He’s the one who should come out apologize to the public aside from SBS and YG. Huh, he’s probably in some underground bunker since Knetz are definitely hunting him.
SKDJFJENW Not Knetz accusing SHS for “selling her soul” to China this isn’t Joseon Exorcist ?? Can’t they just leave Hyesun alone she has nothing to do with this mess.... her drama ended already and the ratings proved that they like it...
was Jang Dong Yoon "Sejong the Great"? I'm really really realllyy sad this got cancelled ;( everyone worked so…
Yes he was. I was very excited to see him taking a role of such a great figure, but now we won’t be able see him on action :(( I seriously have no idea what went wrong in the production room, that no one was able to say “Hey I think we don’t get many of these things right”....
Good job JTBC for quickly releasing a firm statement. Now they need to fix some parts that can potentially cause “controversies” if they don’t want to end up like JE.
I get your point, but I'm also against a black/white portrayal of society. Let's take Nazi Germany as an example.…
You actually gave a better example than I did lol. I believe that JHI’s character will somehow defect to the good side but then again why putting a NK person on a story about SK people’s fight for democracy? They could’ve used someone from the “opposite side of the war” trope such as a government official who’s blinded by the tyranny or just make it about two activists who work together and fell in love. You know how South Koreans view North Koreans. Even they said that CLOY romanticized NK soldiers, what would they say when Snowdrop airs if they decided to go with the plot anyways?
There are problematic Korean actors/actresses that still got hired? Spill sis who are they:)) the only problematic…
Naeun is accused of bullying one of her fellow April member. . As the result Naeun is kicked out of SBS’s future drama “Deluxe Taxi”. Her role is replaced with Pyo Ye-jin.
It seems like many people are unaware of the plot’s controversy. Let me give an example that is closer to home: the Black Lives Matter movement. (It is comparable to the show’s original plot since Snowdrop is also about protests espescially from youths)
If the synopsis were correct, this is how the drama would go:
During a BLM protest, a white supermacist disguised as a BLM protestant got shot with tear gas cannons. He ran to a university dorm and was founded by a black woman who’s a student activist and actively fights for the BLM movement. The two fell in love in the uncertain times.
And the second male lead is an NIS agent (Police), which is also comparable to the BLM’s fight against police brutality.
Get it? If this show aired in America people would freak out in anger. “Why did George Floyd’s death and the BLM movements is romaticized so much that it doesn’t have anything to do with the actual movement’s values and demands? Why making a white supermacist a main character of a supposedly BLM themed show? And the second lead is a police?? the institution that really pressed the movement and the very thing BLM protestant wants to abolish??”
Please do not bash Knetz for overreacting. Have a little sympathy. Think as if this happens in your home country. I agree that they shouldn’t cyberbully the cast, but they got a point and people should look into it before saying “Nah that’s not important” espescially when you’re not from Korea.
Fortunately they still have time to revise everything. Best of luck, Snowdrop! I’m waiting for actress Jisoo and Jung Hae-in.
Why do international fans think that they have a say for Korean about their Korean history? We don't share the…
There are problematic Korean actors/actresses that still got hired? Spill sis who are they:)) the only problematic actor/actress I know are Jisoo (NOT Jisoo Blackpink) , Bae Sung-woo, Park Hye-soo, and Naeun from April...they all got cancelled already.
In the mix of all this mess...I almost forgot that my babygirl, Kim Yoo Jung, has also a Sageuk that is about…
Oh my God I almost forgot about Hong Chun Gi if you didn’t mention it. But I don’t think Knetz would have an issue with HCG since the main characters (Hong Chun Gi and Ha Ram) are totally fictional. The only based on real life person is Prince Suyang (King Sejo). After reading the character desc on wikipedia I think they’re going to portray him correctly. Let’s just hope HCG/Red Sky went smoothly!!
