I've said this once, and I'll say it again, there's a reason why people moved away from watching Western tv shows…
American corporations are all for money and don't care about these dramas' main viewers who have been watching them for decades. They want to profit off of the hype from Korean cinema and music. The shows that they will make will be heavily skewed towards American audiences and will most likely have similar themes from American tv shows. I feel like they're alienating people who have been watching dramas for years.
I've said this once, and I'll say it again, there's a reason why people moved away from watching Western tv shows with multiple seasons and draggy plot lines that would never end for Asian dramas. We don't want Netflix, Disney+, and these big American corporations to get involved in Asian dramas and make them westernised. I like Asian dramas because their plotline and character development, whether personal or romantic, are portrayed well. This is something Western tv shows fail to deliver. If these Western corporations get involved in Asian dramas, I'm worried that the reason I decided to watch Asian dramas will disappear.
the last scene in episode 16 shows song joong ki's acting abilities. his facial expressions were unbelievable, he really took the role of vincenzo to another level!
i like the second season of the Taiwanese version more than this one. In the Taiwanese version you can see Naoki's character development and he shows his love for Kotoko very explicitly. Whereas in this version, you have to really read between the lines
