I know most writers of dramas are women (don't know about this one, though). So why oh WHY they have to write…
If the drama producers chose a female lead that looks like this, it's their fault, not hers. She was offered a role, she accepted it, and she's doing the best she can. So if someone is to blame, it's the people who chose to write the character like this and who chose this particular actress. The villains, as I said, can be cool and interesting. She's neither cool nor interesting - at least up to episode 2 that we've watched so far. She (the character, of course!) has no self-respect and her drunken act is repulsive. I don't know how any man could be attracted by it. Of course we know that, as per k-drama trope, she'll be redeemed by the end, by that man's consideration and later love. But do women always need a man to save them? And aren't people sick and tired of those tropes? The umbrella scene at the end of ep.2 was the cherry on that disaster cake. I am dropping it. Our time on earth is too precious to waste on things that don't add anything to our lives.
people are mad because they say she "looks so much older". Irl she is only 2-3 yrs older. and in the show she…
We are not mad because she's older. "Angel's last mission: love" also had an age gap, but everyone adored it. No, it's that the FL's character is badly written.
This is the place where acclaimed actresses get dragged because they look too old or aren't pretty enough when…
I am not a fangirl of anybody and I intensely dislike k-pop. But can you deny that most of the time they pair very good-looking guys with perfect manners and charisma to goofy, pathetic and extremely plain girls you would never look at twice if you crossed them in the street? It's intentional too, because it feeds the daydreams of the delulu fans.
Me too. The ones leaving negative comments though seem to be predominantly the "permanently offended". -- "teacher/student…
I'm not offended by those things you mentioned, but I'm offended that so many Asian drama heroines are shown as weak, pathetic, dizzy and downright ridiculous. Of course there are some women and some men who are like that, but the percentage we've been shown is staggering (and most of the time, when there's a character like that, it's the woman). This is a stereotype that must go.
Why can't they exchange ml and fl characters in kdramas?? Like perfect fl and wishy washy silly ml ..they know…
Not to mention that the men are swoon-worthy and the females are often very plain, and nevertheless the swoon-worthy male lead falls head-over-heels for them. So that the plain or ugly viewers can dream that it will happen to them as well. It's so predictable and obvious, yet the public buys it and accepts it. Not that it cannot happen in real life, once in a while; but it's really the exception that confirms the rule.
Why so much hate for the fl ? I see people defending fls with low morals saying oh you don't even know her, she…
I know most writers of dramas are women (don't know about this one, though). So why oh WHY they have to write such pathetic, embarrassing female characters? A villain can be interesting and cool (like the queen dowager in Missing Crown Prince). But these poor excuses for a female human being make my skin crawl with embarrassment. You don't need to exaggerate so much in order to give a bigger character development. There's something called "subtlety", but it's an unknown for some of those drama makers.
Wow! Ep 9 A slave contract for the grand prince. If he accepts the CP role, he's a walking dead man. Was it the…
In those times marriages were for convenience. So don't give it too much weight. He bravely put her life before his, I don't know how on earth you are still doubting his love.
First of all, I have to digress for a minute, have you all checked out how fit CSR is. I mean, those abs and guns…
Although it was a cruel shock, it's much better that our girl witnessed her father's doings with her own eyes. If anybody else had told her, she might doubted it, and resented whoever it was who told her.
The actress playing the queen dowager is killing it! (Pun intended) Wonderful, powerful presence, and yet so vulnerable when it comes to love. She portrays this multi-faceted character to perfection.
The dragging and recollections are OTT in Episode 9. K-dramas seem to love these past memories. I just skipped…
In this case I think it was meant to show us that, after his angry first reaction in learning who she really is, he then went on to recollect all those times when they had good times bonding together, and how she helped him. And those thoughts make him soften. We are shown what he's thinking of and remembering, so that we can understand how his stance changes, focusing more on the good things than on the bad ones and also realizing his love for her.
Totally agree with you. It's like as if the Crown Prince is playing hide and seek with the officials. Both ML and…
You are talking of body fat. Here we have face fat which is a completely different things. Many Koreans, from what I've seen, may be skeleton thin and yet have round faces.
Thankyou! Can you be specific about which ep? I for one, need to be able to make a choice to view that, or not,…
They don't show anything, mind you. Just undowing the garment's bow. You are left to imagine the rest. Nothing more than what happened and still happens in ALL arranged marriages where the bride did not choose her groom.
