I don't know why, but I see it every time. I suppose there is this curiosity, those unanswered questions, why, why did this person give me up, what happened back then? It's like retrieving a piece of your missing history. Even if most of the time the meeting is a disappointment, because that person after all abandoned you, for XYZ reason, and might act cold and indifferent, not as you fantasized. But still they want to meet the parent even if only once, and then go back to the "real" parents, the adoptive ones who loved them and raised them.
