I am yet to start this drama.... can anyone give me a suggestion about whether I should watch this? From the comments I'm guessing it has a lot of tragedy involved. I loved TMOPB, but I'm not a not a big fan of Ashes of Love. I might as well wait to find out if this has a happy ending.

You are always so understanding and nice about everything.... teach us your skills shifu! I get annoyed very easily when endings aren't to my liking >.<

tv version just has shorter episodes so more number of episodes, its the exact same content as the 40 eps.

I don't find it dark at all, its more of suspense rather than dark elements. However its certainly not fluffy .

But you have so many on your currently watching ! :O

46 eps is just based on shorter episode lengths for tv. Don't worry about it. WeTV and iQiyi will both have complete versions. Also watch on Youtube for free episodes.

I definitely recommend it as a good Chinese drama starter. I think this is a good fluffy first drama. The crime solving elements are a nice touch but its not a brilliant crime based drama.

If you want an actual crime based heavy drama with a female detective check out "A murderous affair in Horizon Tower".

I would have rated this a 10 if they didn't focus on Chen Ting and MY's mom so much at the end. It was an almost perfect damn. I wanted more LX, JJ and XQ. Anyways loved this show and the amazing characters <3 Rating this a solid 9.5 for all the amazing episodes until Chen Ting shows up, overall I'm giving it a 9. Thank you all for discussing this drama here, I had such a great time.

TV version had 46 episodes (they extended no. of episodes and shortened the length of episodes due to popularity) . The web version is the same but considering the longer episode lengths, its only 40 episodes.

She really is! I prefer her mom version so much more. This isn't what an eccentric physics professor acts like (I'm assuming that's what she was going for). A 32 yo genius prof wouldn't be acting so immaturely bickering with people. I also have a problem with her lines like when she is analysing things she keeps saying "I don't know, I don't get it", which seemed off-character to me.

The last 3 episodes have brought back the enthusiasm I had for Stranger. Having Shi Mok actually talk, do things and be on screen with Yeo Jin together is definitely essential. Also, love the pace of the investigation now. I hope our fav SDJ is safe and sound. Changing my current rating from 8 to 9.

I hope they bless us with a few more, that was fiiirreee.
