i swear... the suitable title for this drama was TILL THE END OF PAINTILL THE END OF OUR BLOODTILL THE END OF…
Til the End of Misunderstandings
Til the End of Obsession (TTJ's obsession that is)
Til the End of Being Abandoned by Your Lover (TTJ, YQY, XL)

I'm a bit sad we didn't get Tantai Jin with white hair when he cried next to YXW. "His ink-black hair turned white…
Me too! For all the white hair that cdrama land pulls out these days, they decided not to go with that plotline which was used here to show how much anguish and deep rooted pain that YXW's death caused him that his hair literally turned white. 😒πŸ˜₯πŸ˜₯

I wish they could at least tried to give us a taste of it though (and maybe explain it away later due to his immortality or something that his hair came back if they really wanted to revert him to his "normal" hair again? πŸ˜‚) Like in LBFAD, DFQC at least had white hair for all about 10 minutes and it was beautiful too (I did like seeing that part since his original novel character always had white hair if I recall correctly).

However, on the flipside, Leo's hairstyles already look so good on him (and depending on lighting/wig... sometimes those white wigs looks weirdly yellow/yellow tinted or gray and ashy so maybe they didn't wanna deal with all that...) And the #1 reason is probably they because they already have 5 other characters with white hair (her immortal father, her biological father, Cang Jiu Min's master, Ye Qing Yu (based on future picture teasers), and Si Ying). Adding TTJ w/white hair might be overkill πŸ˜‚

Not only that. TTJ as Ming Ye also saw Devil God's face during the last battle. But after that dream arc ended,…
Good point! I didn't even connect that together either but you're right! Yes, he shoulda questioned it! But nope, connections were not firing off in that gorgeous TTJ brain that day apparently or any other day on that topic πŸ˜‚

I know they changed it and all but isn't it kind of odd, TTML would use YBC as the other choice. Saying these…
Novel TTML said he didn't want to be as ruthless as TTJ which is why he would allow TTJ to save one girl.
I guess even villians have morals sometimes?!
Whereas drama TTML said he was doing it cause he's a "reasonable" man (says the crazy guy holding up 2 swords to 2 women's throats, I don't believe him at all πŸ˜‚)

But yes, I agree the drama doesn't explain why he thought YBC even had a chance in the hostage game. At this point, she's just his sister in law (who was even demoted to slave). Bad writing in my opinion on drama writers.

Someone please help me understand:1. Why was TTJ surprised about Xi Wu having the World Alluring Jade when it…
1. Why was TTJ surprised about Xi Wu having the World Alluring Jade when it was revealed when Xi Wu shot him with the 6 heart piercing nails on their wedding night?

Yeah, I feel drama is bad at explaining World Alluring Jade showing up at the wedding and again later at the tower when she finally tells him about the eye swap.

I think the novel did a better explanation, drama just glossed over a bunch of stuff.

In novel, World Alluring Jade is known to have the power to both save and kill.

TTJ is confused but assumes when he wakes up and is no longer blind that since he consumed/used the World Alluring Jade that it's magical powers transformed into his "healed" eye. That's why he never questioned his eye issue further. There was no wedding in novel so the first time it appeared happened in drama only and drama never bothered to explain it, lol.
He never saw World Alluring Jade again until LSS uses it to call forth the lightening and he then realized she had it all this time and so he wrongly assumed that his real eye was healed when it was actually swapped by YXW for her eye.

2. When would an evil villain who wants to take away your most beloved person actually decide to not to kill the person you want to save?

Seriously, right? Lol
Logic says he should kill both girls in front of TTJ to get back at him...
But novel TTML said he didn't want to be as ruthless as TTJ which is why he would allow TTJ to save one girl.
I guess even villians have morals sometimes! πŸ˜‚

3. Why does TTJ want Ye Bing Chang still alive at this point?

To torture and get revenge for YXW.
It's not clear yet by in Epi 28 if the drama will follow novel or not, but in novel, TTJ later discovered that YBC was directly involved in plotting with Tantai Minglang (TTML) and causing him to capture YXW (and YBC).
YBC's initial plot with TTML was for him to fake capture YBC and ask TTJ to swap YXW in exchange for freeing YBC. She wanted to then use TTML to kill off YXW (everyone thought TTJ didn't even care for YXW at that point and would swap, and YBC still wanted YXW dead anyways). But YXW heard them plotting before it could happen so TTML changed his plan and took them both hostages and the "pick YXW or YBC" scenes then aligns with what happens in drama. So it course novel version TTJ is super pissed at YBC since she pretty much caused the whole hostage situation that led to YXW being on the tower and jumping off to her death.

Again, looks like we might find out more about YBC tomorrow so not sure if we'll see how they ended up hostages and if YBC was involved or not since today's episode just had them appear out if nowhere at the top of the tower already.

I just want to say that I was positively surprised by the change in character that they made with YXW's eldest…
Totally agree! Her eldest brother redeemed himself so bad! I was quite saddened by the tragic ending to her father and eldest brother. They were true heroes to the end.

On my second rewatch of Epi 28 and found this oddity. In Susu's flashback of TTJ as Demon Lord 1.0 destroying her world, he sees clips of her (as Susu) AND Gong Ye Ji Wu fighting him off.

Soooo... if I were TTJ... I'd question what the heck "Xiao Lin" (since he don't know him as Gong Ye Ji Wu yet) is doing in that world with Su Su and all her immortal people. And the previews appear to have him all pikachu face when he sees "Xiao Lin" again for the first time in immortal arc... even though he should seen him already in the flashback here?

But the drama seems as to have glazed that over... like it does with the rest of the loopholes πŸ€¦πŸ»β€β™€οΈ. Maybe I'm supposed to attribute it to the flashback being so fast, and TTJ is in too much grief to put 2 and 2 together yet, but again logic says he should at least ponder it at some point?

Don't get me wrong, I'm absolutely addicted to TTEOTM and will continue to watch, but the lack of logic/writing sometimes just makes me wanna throw a book at the wall!

I haven't felt this much brain loss/throwing logic out the window since youku's previous drama, Wulin Heroes, lol

I'm sightly disappointed that they didn't have Susu actively jumping off the tower like in novel...? Like they floated into the sky, did all the bone exchanging and conversations and she just kind of floated off and next thing we know she's on the ground after everything was said and done. Not sure if this was for editing or censorship sakes, but less impactful in my opinion.

In novel, as soon as she jumped, TTJ was sooooo desperate to save her. He tried so desperately to reach her, but she was too far away and he couldn't save her. 😒

Title Till the End of the Moon Spoiler
So I just watch all this week episodes…. And I didn’t cry 😳😳May be my expectation were too high. I wish…
I didn't cry either and I don't know why either. I did almost tear up when the elder brother came out to join the Dad in fighting the rebels, that part was very moving to me.

Perhaps it's that the drama had to move along so fast? I feel the love story has been pretty one-sided so far and we didn't get to see LSS' viewpoint as much, which is why I feel bad, but not enough to cry for them. I also really didn't feel the sadness, the desperation in LSS that I felt in the novel (long prison sentence, dark prison, loneliness and despair, extreme weigh loss, and him giving away her last chance for hope (Longevity Flower). The eye exchange conversation also didn't hit as hard in the drama either. Like in the novel, he was super shocked she had the World Toppling Jade, but it felt a bit anticlimactic in drama as it already starting showing up at the wedding and TTJ just somehow never circled back to it (bad writing). Also, she apologized for the nails in the novel, which hit TTJ really hard cause he knew she was headed to a bad spot if she even had to apologize to him in the first place so it made him extra desperate! Whereas she just kind of alluded to feeling bad in the drama that she hurt him but never outright apologized. And perhaps because TTJ was so much nicer in the drama that it feels like LSS wasn't as deserving of his love. Her speech about not risking the 3 realms for a sliver of goodness inside him really dumbed down the drama too (I think that line's unique to drama only). That line really hurt and made me feel like she never loved/trusted him at all 😒

I was sad, but expected more too.

Necrophiliac vibes this ep with TTJ haha. It's kind of funny that he didn't die yet in the ice...Also the makeup…
For real! Especially when YQY and Nian Baiyu broke the top off the ice coffin and TTJ just casually unclasps his hand from LSS like he's ready to get outta bed on any old normal day. I can't tell if I should be sad or super creeped out! πŸ˜‚

To be honest the necrophiliac vibes of him keeping her body around way after her death creeped me out a ton from the novel! Especially when the novel refers to him stitching up her wounds (her body was a lot more mangled in novel), and later when her body starts to decompose/smell after a month... ugh, sooooo dang creepy, but he's so still so obsessed!

I for one am sooo glad they didn't have a baby before she died in her mortal arc (well, I can't tell from the drama if they ever "did the deed" as TTJ and YXW to give us babies, lol). But LSS' death was so sad and tragic and then for TTJ to pretty much keep trying to actively kill himself to be with her, I'm glad no child was left behind! In the novel, LSS specifically said she wasn't about to give him an heir either the one night he tried to visit her in prison (they had sleeping together before then), so whew!

Comparing this death to another epic but similar 'FL dying and leaving ML crazy depressed' like Eternal Love/Ten Miles of Peach Blossoms (TMOPB), that part in TMOPB was a tough pill for me to swallow. Like, how do you have a baby (Ah Li) only to leave your child behind (to both Susu/Bai Qian & Ye Hua?). It felt sooooo selfish of them to have a baby who was abandoned by his Mom as Susu, treated ok but never truly loved maternally by Bai Qian (she really felt like a nice stepmother to me), and even Ye Hua tried to kill himself like 2-3xs too out of love too, and he didn't even really take care of his baby until many years later after Susu's death due to his grief 😭!). Bai Qian also pretty much abandoned Ah Li to his grandparents after Ye Hua died too! I'm surprised Ah Li doesn't have huge abandonment issues already! They were great lovers, but baaaaaaaad parents. 🀣

And I know in this novel that TTJ & LSS do later have a kid in their immortal arc, and the kid is upset that LSS just goes off on these missions to find TTJ too but at least I don't think she was trying to kill herself to do so, so she's just a tad grade above Bai Qian and Ye Hua in my opinion...?) πŸ˜‚

I guess what I'm saying is I'm all in for these all encompassing, neverending, epic and tragic love stories... unless it involves them somehow abandoning their child at some point in the name of love. Then it sours the love story a bit for me. But I'm still hoping for the best outcome for TTJ & LSS!

Is it just me or did we miss out on a kiss/deleted kiss scene? 😒 (where TTJ's in his outfit w/shiney cape and she's in white). I've seen clips of that kissing scene (linked below), and I think it would fit in with the outfits they had right when LSS/YXW asked TTJ to marry her and make her his queen. But didn't see it in drama... Dare we hope it's maybe from a "flashback" that we haven't been shown yet (still looking forward to that kissing in the snow scene that matches his earlier green/tan outfit and her peachy flowery outfit too which I think may still show up later as a flashback according to bts)?

Anyways, this clip has that kiss I'm talking about, and it shows up around the 5 second mark

Honestly, with all this hype and attention, if YouKu drops a BE there will be Hell to pay! If you know what I…
To be honest, I don't know that youku would care or rewrite their already filmed ending either way even if it's OE, BE or will get them a lot of hate later (unless they filmed multiple endings already and could just pick one by the end, but unlikely).

For example, youku's past hits:
Immortal Samsara had a bit of hate and leak about a potential "BE" too right before it's finally airing. Youku still aired their original BE, only to slightly console fans by the extra.

Word of Honor also technically has a BE too, unless we count the extra as well.

Starry Love has an open-ish ending (OE), alluding to HE but no extra. (Btw, my sis was a big fan but tells me she still considers the ending to be technically BE. Open ending = BE to her since it's not a clear cut HE for sure. (Yes, she's very literal πŸ˜‚)).

So I think youku will air whatever they already planned regardless of HE, BE or OE. If it's BE or OE, we can only hope for an extra?? They do have a tendancy to drop good extras (meaning actual extra meaningful and new scenes, not a recycle of old scenes like iqiyi's LBFAD's "extras" - those were sooo disappointing, I don't know why iqiyi even claimed them as extras πŸ€¦πŸ»β€β™€οΈπŸ€¦πŸ»β€β™€οΈπŸ€¦πŸ»β€β™€οΈ).

Even Youku's other shows: Blood of Youth and Love and Redemption that both had HEs also dropped extras too so hoping for extras isn't toooooo crazy with youku shows. Let's wait and see.

Does anyone kno based on the trailer does she at least tell him tat she love him before she died
I doubt it, I haven't seen that in any trailers yet. And if the drama sticks to the novel, she's not going to make any dying declarations of love. One of her final lines before she dies (in the novel), she says to him: "I only wish that for now and forever, even at the end of darkness, there won’t be you. (translation credit: Second Life Translations). I recall this line did appear in a past trailer (but rewritten differently as: "I only wish in our next lives, we'll never meet again.")

So, it wouldn't make sense that would say she loves him or anything and then still cut him off FOREVER with that "I never wanna see you again" line (and continue still try to cut him off later-- there's a later scene from a trailer where they likely meet again for the first time (?) in immortal arc and she tells him they need to continue on their own separate paths and TTJ's tear falls). So most likely no declaration of love at the end of the mortal arc/tower scene is my best guess. But it's still just a guess... so anything is possible...?

Why is Netflix not buying this drama? More people can watch if Netflix is airing it like LBFAD
Even if they did, Netflix likely wouldn't drop it until way after it's done releasing anyways, especially not until after the VIP run. To my recollection, none of their past cdramas have released during/before the end of it's run on it's native platform anyways. (i.e. LBFAD dropped on Netflix way after iqiyi finished, and even viki if I recall. Untamed, Word of Honor and Who Rules the World dropped weeks/months later too). It's never truly "new" (real time) on the Netflix end sadly. I've never seen it with their past cdramas yet.
