Guys silly question did anyone know where TTJ find the withe tiger thatβs is always with him?
Can't remember if the drama explained the white tiger, but in the novel, the tiger belonged to his brother (Tantai Minglan) who raised it and used it to put fear in people. When Tantai Jin became Emperor, the novel said he just kept the tiger. And in the novel, it's actually also a tiger demon. However, YXW thinks it's a pretty dumb tiger (so does TTJ) though and she always chases it around/kinda bullies it and it tends to stay away from her cause she scares it, lol. There's a funny scene in the novel where TTJ came upon YXW feeding a random man and he was kinda jealous/feeling murderous until YXW pointed out she's just feeding his tiger (who just gained a physical body), lol! Doubt we'll see all that in the drama though, we probably don't have time π
If Tan tai Jin was in a modern era. I would say he was born a psycho. I mean he exhibits that trait and this remind…
As someone who watches wayyyyy too many true crime dramas (but otherwise no way an expert), I think he also exhibits anti-social personality and sociopathic tendancies with his lack of empathy for others. Perhaps that's some of the darkness within him that Yue Ying Xin & Jing Lan An see and fear (and why they called him a monster too). But that's not to say it's horrible or something that automatically makes him bad, someone could be both anti-social and a sociopath and still be productive member of society, it's all in how they handle those traits. So he's not without hope!
I just finished watching the first 6 episodes and it was hard to watch due to the bullying. Like this poor man,…
As much as she hates him, I love that her character realized very early on as YXW that because she traveled back in time, she's trying to punish TTJ for sins which he hasn't even committed yet. So I do enjoy that she was torn by her feelings of trying to hate him, but also staying true to her original self (who unlike YXW is not at all a naturally cruel person).
Those sexy dance moves on the boatπ²π²πππΈ πΊNeed I say moreππ
Right? For someone who said they couldn't dance (she said that right before picking up the harp), she did pretty good and Tantai Jin enjoyed every moment of it too!
Somebody in tumblr said Tan Tai Jin is a disney princess you guys LMAO! Magic hands βοΈ , talks to animals…
He really is! Even his name is Cinder (if you go by youku's translation). I've also seen it referred to as ash/embers (like fire). As soon as I saw that I'm like, wow, he's literally the c-drama Cinderella! He's motherless, unloved/bullied, talks to animals, and basically marries a noble/rich girl but with tons of other stuff thrown in along the way, lmao. It's like a dark reverse ML/FL take on a fairy tale, and I'm loving it so far!
It was the woman whose body was found amongst the four bodies but who was ruled out because lao liu changed the…
Omg, thanks so much! I totally missed that point, but that makes sense. I hadn't planned to go back and rewatch those episodes again but was pretty sure it had to been revealed at some point (cause we had specific killers in all past cases so pretty sure I was the problem and the show gave us a killer and I somehow blinked and missed the reveal, lol). Thanks again!
Hello all! Sorry if I missed this (watched all episodes already), but can someone clarify for me who the real killer was on the Peony case? So I understand that the detective/Lao Liu's son killed Ka-Ka's mother during his thunderstorm ptsd induced rage and Lao Liu covered it up trying to blame that death on the original Peony killer (by using the moutan vs peony hairpin), and also pushed the blame onto Han Zheng for Lao Hu's death. But then who was the real Peony killer of all the other people... I don't think the son killed everyone else. So was the killer one of the bodies they found like they had originally suspected or they just attributed it to the overall killer/mystery figure they hadn't figured out yet (aka Mu Yan)? I somehow missed who the real Peony killer was and when that was revealed...? Jiu Er had closed her case (when she writes it all up and closes her case book(s) ) and I'm like, yeah I get the cover ups happened but who was the original killer....?
One important lesson from this series is that if your hair is gray, make love and your hair will become black…
Tell that to the White Hair Maiden drama series, that couple must not be doing it right, so many versions and she never got her black hair back, lolπ
Also, funny note: * FL/Huang Ri Ying's most recent drama before this one (Cry Me A River of Stars) ended with her ML's hair turning white and he never got it back (she tried dying it multiple times but failed miserably, lol. He even said her latest dye turned his hair green, haha!). * ML/Li Hong Yi's older drama "Love Better Than Immortality" had white hair at the end for him and he never got it back either.
So in conclusion, it's unique to ginseng fairy magic + sex for the cure if you're a guy, and a magical flower to regain lost fairy powers first + ginseng fairy magic if you're a girl/already a ginseng fairy, no sex required π
Wow, these two are so oblivious, they didn't even bother to close the door before kissing on the bed (probably sexy times too based on her comment that they have a long night ahead, lol) when she regained her memory again that final time! πππ
I guess Bai Yue is really living up to his earlier comments to her about how he's willing to be shameless for her now. Even his pickup lines/dialogue got a lot cheesier towards the end there too (looooove it!), like how he suggested she "hold him from the back" when he gives himself acupuncture or when she's like "Dude, how long you gonna stalk/follow me?" and he goes "A lifetime!" π
All the kisses and sexy times in the last couple episodes made the headaches that I got from its frustrating beginning/flashbacks soooooo worth it now! β€οΈ
Is the first episode the final part? I keep hoping the plot will go back to where it started, but it seems the…
The beginning is a bit confusing. I was just as frustrated too initially .
The drama actually opens in middle of the story, that's why it's so hard to follow at first. Then it flashes back periodically to when when FL met Bai Yue/ML, with some time skips to how she met the other guys (#2: Tang Yang, #3: Cang Nan, #4: Cang Qi (current SML) & #5: Tang Huan) and how she was "killed off/died" as a result of half those guys. She "died" and came back to life again twice if I recall at the beginning of the drama, and has forgotten every thing that happened in her past lives, including forgetting about ML βΉοΈ
After meeting guys #4 and #5, the timeline does catch up and moves more chronologically in the second half of the drama and starts to show us how it connects back to the beginning and all the earlier flashbacks as well so that helps to smooth out the timeline/plot now.
did y'all notice that she's most of the time the initiator and the lead in their Ki55scenes!
Yep, she's very flirty with him and wants to kiss him all that time (hey, who can blame the girl, he's a HOT brooding doctor π₯) , whereas his character just seems to be more naturally stoic/reserved. Like when she was trying to kiss him the field and he's all "don't, it's broad daylight." and she's all, "oh, that means I can misbehave when it's dark?" π
And although Bai Yue is not as showy about his feelings (even though he loves her to death and does also initiate some kisses/hugs too), I think the show kinda implies he does actually enjoy how she's super showy/outright with her love for him. These two are very "opposites attract" kinda personalities and have very different love languages. She likes physical touch, he likes words of affirmation/acts of service (keeping her safe and healthy).
However, I wish their kisses were more than pressed lips though. She has nice interactive kisses in other dramas, so I'm a little bit let down by the quality of the kisses here even though there's many of them. They're not horrible, but could definitely be better too!
It took a lot of squinting at the credits to decipher the titles but here's what I found:The opening song is a…
Thank you! I also just happened to notice the titles in the ending credits yesterday too and found the opening ost on yt now (still no luck with ending ost so I'll just be patient til someone shares it).
Though I still think YX is naive as hell, I do wish BY would tell her the truth about his curse. Woman has never…
He should tell her. It's not like she's gonna retain it. She'll just forgot it again the next time amnesia hits, lol π
She's been killed off and came back multiple times. Maybe he has tried to tell her already in a past life and it didn't work out? We don't really know that right now either the way the drama's unfolded so far. I have so many questions....!
Wow, this girl. She goes roaming around the world and throwing herself in front of swords, weapons, walking into her death for all the other men. But in Epi 10, the one man who keeps saving her and her boytoys, gives her pills to keep her pain away asks her to go into his secret room with him.... and this is the moment when she chooses to bring a bat/club along because she thinks he's gonna hurt or lead her into danger? Really, him? If you're that cautious about him after spending days in his valley doing whatever you wanna do, pleading with him for a favor (saving the other dude), then perhaps it's better you just run away now... He's had plenty of time to kill you- if he wanted to kill you, he woulda done it already π€¦π»ββοΈπ€¦π»ββοΈπ€¦π»ββοΈπ€¦π»ββοΈ
I just keep watching this while knocking my head against the table in frustration!
I get that she has amnesia, and that ML isn't giving her much to work with, but amnesia isn't an excuse to lose all common sense! If you're cautious with ML, that's fine. But then shouldn't you be naturally cautious with all the other ML or people around you too as a natural part of your ingrained personality? I guess the inconsistencies in her character is what's getting to me, she just picks and chooses when to have common sense or react and it's all over the place, yikes!
It's a typical youku way of scheduling. First week of a new series typically has several episodes out in days…
Thank you! I wasn't sure if it was normal or something was taking over dramaland next week to push it back. Guess it's just normal and youku's a tease π (I'm used to schedule changes but like 6-8 episodes down to maybe 4, so only dropping to 2 next week is gonna be so sad.)
And according to the icons (on youku's schedule), there's likely a wedding (? double happiness) in the following episodes (11-12) too sooo ughhhhhh, that's gonna be such a long wait! π
