This is basically a Japanese drama minus family subplots, childhood trauma and high school student with no study.

This article is just so true!!

Plus some other things that annoys me-

•Every drama seems to have atleast 2 other side couples along with main couple...and always the ML's best friend ends up with FL's bestie....why man!

•ML is always with a trauma which needs the FL to solve.

•Every dramas seems to atleast have one character with family member dying or parents neglecting them while they were young. Why can't we have characters with healthy childhood!

•Too detailed flashbacks with facts gone wrong.

•And after half number of episodes... the plots drag on and on...

But there are obviously cdramas with exception.

No. The previous film Pirates is not a prequel of this film. They are not at all connected. You can watch this even if you didn't watch or do not plan to watch the other one. But the other film is very much reccomended.

Romance here is more of the feeling type rather than describing-by-words kind. And if you came here only for the romance tag you may not be satisfied enough. But if you enjoy watching dramas about Chinese Communist Revolution you will obviously like the drama as it is different from any other of the same tag.

I hope you don't drop this drama seeing the reviews. This is totally worth watching.
