"I Have Someone I Like" is one of the best OST from cdrama world š.. I've already downloaded it on my phone…
Oh, yes! 'I Have Someone I Like' is my pick-me-up jam for those early morning drives to work, belting it out like Iām headlining a concert, and hazelnut cold brew in hand, of course. Iām a sucker for K-drama OSTs, but these two C-dramas really hooked me with some sweet tunes.
I heard Lusi isn't diving into the movie scene just yetāsheās focused on accumulating experience and sharpening her acting skills. I always thought she's smart, and honestly, it makes total sense with the current projects she's picking. Story of Pearl Girl is all about character growth, giving her the perfect platform to flex those acting muscles and showcase her growth, and then weāve got Loveās Ambition and Almost Loverānot your basic rom-com fluff, and sheās working alongside some serious veteran actors. It's like sheās playing chess, not checkers, and I'm super excited to see how she evolves and the roles she'll take on next. Fingers crossed for another Wu Gang collabāthose father/mentor-daughter vibes in Gen Z was pure gold.
Iām crossing my fingers that Lusi blesses us by singing a Story of Pearl Girl OST too! Iām still obsessed with the Hidden Love and The Last Immortal soundtracks. And Silence Wangāhis voice could probably melt glaciers. Love his songs, love his vibe, love everything!
If you could choose one actor Lusi has acted with before to collaborate in another drama together, who would it…
If I had to choose only one, Iād totally pick Ding Yuxi to team up with Zhao Lusi again. That kiss scene with the pastry? Iconic. Like, permanently etched in my mind. š¤ Heās such a fantastic actorāsuper expressive, like he's on the same wavelength as Lusi. Plus, the way he pulls off morally complex characters? Itās like watching him walk the fine line between āawwā and āuh-ohā flawlessly. Love it!
But, letās not stop thereāWang Anyu, Chen Zhe Yuan, Yang Yang? Yes, please! The chemistry is top-tier with those guys, and you can tell theyāre all just super comfortable around each other. And of course, Wu Lei, because⦠LLTG happened and I'm still not over it. Maybe weāll get a reunion when people grow up a little and the toxic fans either chill out or go poof! š«£Fingers crossed! š¤
My ultimate style crushes from the Vogue fashion event? Zhao Lusi, Wang Yibo, Tan Jian Ci, and Liu Yi Fei! š Check it out here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g75coxzTvKQ. I have to hand it to Lusiāher toned shoulders and arms are seriously goals! Talk about sexyāgirl is putting in the work! š„ Totally makes me want to hit the gym... or at least lift a cupcake! š
OMG, that poster. OMG, the trailer. OMG, those dimples. And donāt even get me started on the way they look at each other. The smiles, the hugs, the kissing scenesāAHHHHHH! ā¤ļøāš„š„šIām ready to fall head over heels for these flawed characters, their journey and growth, and their story! Bring on the tears, the squeals, the giggles, and the laughs. And listen, universe, please let this end happily and be totally worth the emotional rollercoaster!
I think having it on national tv is already a win considering the reach it can potentially have. Having it on…
I'm not super familiar with how Chinese TV ratings work, but I doubt this oneās much different from other historical dramas that dive into tough themes like slavery or forced servitude. You know the typeāservants and concubines treated like property, or characters enslaved or captured in war. But honestly, the real focus here isnāt just about the slavery. Itās about the FLās emotional strength, her growth, and how she shatters those chains (literally and figuratively) to claw her way to freedom and success. Itās that kind of underdog story that hits deep in any culture, because, letās be real, humanityās history is full of struggles like that.
Did some big name investors watched the show already or smtg?? Bcs the way the rating changed from S+ to S++ and…
Honestly, when big-name investors jump in, you know theyāve done their homework. Theyāre not throwing cash around for nothing. Iām willing to bet theyāve seen more sneak peeksāmaybe even the whole thingāand are banking on this drama being a massive hit both at home and abroad. Translation? Wider audience, higher production standards, more prestige, and cha-ching on the ad revenue. Fingers crossed it gets translated into a bunch of languages and Netflix also swoops in to pick it up.
Watching Mr. Queen for the 5th time (because why not), and Shin Hye Sun is still an absolute queen of comedic timing. She never misses! Hands down, one of my favorite actresses. And then thereās Kim Jung Hyun. Talk about a first impression! He didnāt just play a traumatized, bullied king, he became Cheol Jong. I was so blown away that I went full detective mode and Googled his life story. Turns out, heās been through real-life mental and emotional battlesālike serious abuse and depression. I had male friends who went through similar situations and it turned tragic. Sure, he made mistakes, but the man has owned up to them and is putting in the work to turn things around. Honestly, hats off to him for walking through the fire, coming out stronger, and brave enough to face toxic haters. So glad he did, because Mr. Queen is now permanently etched in my list of faves. šāØ
Letās be realāSeo Hyun and Kim Jung Hyun both got the short end of the stick here. Yeah, Kim Jung Hyun wasnāt exactly a ray of sunshine to Seo Hyun, but when youāre being manipulated, bullied, and emotionally wrecked by someone you love (hello, ex-girlfriend!), itās not so easy to separate personal chaos from your professional life. Dude was going through it. Depression is no joke, especially when the person whoās supposed to care for you is the one doing the damage. So yes, Seo Hyun was the innocent in all this mess, and she didnāt deserve the cold shoulder and rude treatment from a co-star, but letās not ignore the fact that Kim Jung Hyun was also a victim in this toxic web. The guy got dragged by the public for being unprofessional, but how about a little empathy for someone who was clearly dealing with a mental and emotional storm? Iāve known men whoāve been pushed to the brink by similar situations, and itās tragic. So maybe cut the guy some slackāheās owned up, apologized, and is trying to get back on track. And to those still out there throwing toxic comments his wayāy'all need a reality check. Letās not act like yāall are out here batting 1000 in the perfect-life department either, okay? He's doing the work to improve. How about we let him as decent human beings?
The forever toxic tag team has been reported with great joy. May they vanish into the black hole of irrelevanceāpermanently. Meanwhile, on to better things: LYNās voice is a gift. I hope he sings some TSOPG OST.
Maybe weāll get a reunion when people grow up a little and the toxic fans either chill out or go poof! š«£Fingers crossed! š¤
And for anyone saying she's lost her uniqueness and is just a trend follower, hereās a little reminder: https://www.youtube.com/shorts/RjvQgUTJod8.
Still quirky and joyful as ever. š«Donāt let that virtual braid slap you on the way out, haters. šāØ
