more than the actual villains of the show right now, I hate The FL's father so much. so weak. no backbone.. would say, "I didn't know this happened to you while I was away".... now you know and you don't even bother to do anything with this? like maybe confront your "older brother" for what he did to your daughter? like fuck off man.

I'm quite literally a simple watcher. I watch dramas for 2 reasons that should be met. 1.) I dont care how handsome or pretty the leads are BUT they must have this oozing chemistry between them and 2.) the story progresses good enough to retain my attention (and maybe sometimes for the aesthetics in the drama which is optional for me but there are certain dramas I retained watching because of the aesthetics and cinematography) And guess what, THIS DRAMA IS IT FOR ME!! IT'S DRIVING ME CRAZY HOW I NEED TO WAIT FOR THE EPISODES TO COME OUT. Somehow I wished I would've just seen this when there were at least 24 episodes out but here I am struggling. I AM SO OBSESSED I am about to repeat all episodes from EP 1 again to the latest ones. ughhhh.

i don't necessarily mean she needs to do combat stuff like Pei Sijing does but in a sense, at least her powers could help the team coz the others do more than her who's supposedly a protector of the wilderness. I know she's supposed to be this gentle really goddess like being but her powers are just literally useless if not being used for sealing the wilderness. like it seems to me that's the only purpose but the way she was presented In the show, they made it seem like she's a force and a symbol of hope when In the story she's just almost always useless (this is directed to the character. I love CDL so much I hope she picks a better script next time. would love to see her play more villain roles like she did in LGIEF)

I think that's actually fun though? like you never know if they're actually serious or just into some black comedy skit again. 🤣🤣

That's the only FLAW this drama has for me. Cinematography is perfect, other casts are perfect.. But for a female lead and a "major" character based on the posters, there should be something more from her. But yeah, left wondering what her purpose really is.

But seriously, I love CDL so much but why is her as the Baize Goddess so useless? Power-wise, she should be at least in the same level as the great demons (ZYZ and Li Lun) but no. Aside from sealing the wilderness, what does she exactly do? I was giggling in the 1st EPs because I can see the chemisty and tension so much but after entering the EPs 10 further, it felt like, I don't even consider her as the main female character anymore. LOL. Pei Sijing honestly did more even as only human.. And I came to love the ZYZ and ZYC or ZYZ and Li Lun and heck even the Li Lun x ZYC combo. LOL. Her character was so poorly written that all she ever did was be weak and fragile despite having supposed "goddess" powers.

He was born a demon. And not just any kind of DEMON but the one who's actually a vessel for all malicious energy in the world. For short, he's like a LIVING BLADE/ a Sword for evilness and when that evilness takes over, he becomes the GRET DEMON himself. He was the kindest demon though as shown in the next few EPs. His true self is the compassionate demon. Just like humans have good and bad, demons in this story are either good or bad (bad in a way that they became like that because of humans as well or of circumstances) He really didnt have any choice when he had killings because he's not conscious when that evil energy overtakes him.

cdramas have always had tragic endings compared to kdramas especially for this genre.. But I best believe the ending for FOF, really made sense despite people saying it didn't make sense for the last couple of episodes. it just honestly does.

this was the 1st drama after Alchemy of Souls that I've picked up from the beginning and religiously waited for episodes each day.. I guess AOS made it really hard for me to move and watch something else so when I first saw the 1st episode of this show, I know I'll be staying watch how the story goes.

a lot of people on X kept saying it was a sad ending but honestly, for me it was an open ending. the only thing that bothers me is Ying Lei should have never died. But from the start of the story until the last few episodes, I did think Bai Jiu, Li Lun have to die. Most importantly, their story started out with the vows ZYC and ZYZ made. So naturally, it was ZYZ's destiny to die. But you know what makes me happy? the whole build up of their friendship and family was everything for me. from wanting to kill ZYZ because of Revenge to refusing to kill him and asking him to not seek death, it was poetically beautiful. even at that point, when he had to stab him and ZYZ told him that he knew he couldn't do it but ZYC did it anyway. And I can't believe that made me cry so much. The level of love and loyalty right there and commitment that even if ZYC didn't want to loose ZYZ, he had to just like Bing Yi and Ling Long's destiny.

The only important thing for me is that, even after everything, The ones who were left in the world vowed to protect his home, to protect the people and find his last shred of soul. As this was open to interpretations, I would like to think that when ZYC found ZYZ again through that contract, I knew he would do anything, to bring his best friend's human form again. gosh. the love I have for those 2 and even Li Lun (despite being nasty throughout the show). I was happy that he died saving people. at the end of the day, he was just someone who discovered a negative emotion first and had to deal with it because he thought he was loosing his best friend to ZYZ's desire to be human.

everything about the last few episodes were poetic to me. everyone is such a pretty crier.

However, the only flaw I can see in this drama is how useless the Baize goddess can be at times.

well, that ends for me. I'd like to thank the casting team. you really casted such an amazing cast. it's been a long time for me since I've watched a drama and had been impressed this much (the last one being Alchemy of Souls both S1 and 2)

Can someone please spoil the ending of this for me? asdfghjkl. I'm only on Episode 7.

WHAT DO YOU ALL MEAN NO EPISODES FOR THE NEXT 2 DAYS????? WHAT?????? And I thought the airing schedule was continous MONDAYS TO SUNDAYS with some days airing just 1 episode.. LIKE WHAT???????? (I didnt even see the schedule of episode airing per day so I had no idea at all).. THIS IS TORTURE!!

after all the shitty things happening in Poncheewan's story, my rankings are as follows,

2. Dujupsorn
3. Jaipisut

5. Poncheewan

They should've just made this series as Cheewa's story if they were only going to focus on her. LIKE GIRL, I AM SOOOOO TIRED OF YOU. And Saruj, like boy... you are officially in my block list or whatever. All those character build up in the past stories for nothing (as someone who never read the main materials on this).

I was really worried how they'd continue this drama when around Ep15 everything is going so well and felt like they dont need 32 EPs.. Well, turns out i loved this drama even more now. Xiao Ning was def annoyinng in the 1st few EPs but I loved how she really became a woman that she is later on.

Gosh I love Rao Jing and Fang Gang so much.. Their chemistry is actually something else. Also i expected that I would love Ke Ying here since I liked some of her dramas so much but it feels like her part in this drama is nothing but just random fillers. It would've just made sense to focus on the male and female leads plus rao jing and fang gang

yes, i real life, they are only 4-5 years.. But my issue and concern was with Poncheewan and Kwanruetai barely being legal in the story and having guys way older than them fall in love.. If I remember it correctly, there was one scene with the 5 cousins where they were teasing Chat about bagging a woman that is barely legal which would indicate Tai was only 17 or 18 when she and chat met each other. Poncheewan, upon assuming her age at this series would be around 20.. Still, she was barely an adult at that time. But I guess, the women are mainly made into wives at that time even if they are educated enough and even if they come from noble families.. hahaha. I hope for another romantic drama from Kao and PP..

I do think they wont wed people below the legal age but 30 yrs old falling in love with 17 year olds were such a common thing back then. I live in a Southeast Asian country just like Thailand and I am exposed to these facts. Just that sometimes, when you think about it especially in our modern time now, these relationships are really such a NO-NO. A 17-30 year old relationship is different to those of 25 - 38 year olds or of 30 - 43 year olds. I know this because my biological mother and father have 16 years of age gap. And it is OKAY as long as both have met and develop feelings to each other in legal ages. With Saruj and Poncheewan, it looks like he had a crush on her when she was barely just 10? Not to mention they sort of grew up w/ each other. hahahah. but yeah, it definitely was okay during their time. But it would've been sooo weird in today's time.
