The screenwriting for this drama makes "Love In Pavilion" look almost like a masterpiece in comparison.…
I think Love in Pavillion was just really significantly better though... red moon pact is just 6 ft below the ground worse. And this one, started off good. fell off the mid part but had to compensate with the funny antics I guess.
Going to use the comment section here to get suggestions. Are there any good shows currently airing? I cant find one. I'm currently watching blood river but looks like it's not my cup of tea. Particularly in need of Xianxia/Xuanhuan drama recommendations.. I'm a huge fan of romance, mystery genres and also adventure-fantasy like the seven relics of ill omen.
Romance in this drama is not a focus and the relationship between SMY and BHH is slow burned and develops throughout…
I know that this drama isn't really romance focused but normally when a character has a love interest, at least the chemistry would go in right away from the moment they've met each other.. but in this case, not a single chemistry going on between them. She's very Pretty btw but I find myself thinking she suits another drama.. and I find myself thinking of different female actresses who could do her role better. anyway, I'm already in EP10 and so far it's fine.
Now that we're done with this series, I'll be sharing my thoughts per episode below. I'll put spoilers for this…
EP 33: When I say, you should've killed your enemies before, I really mean it because look at QJT alive and in a killing mood.. Before I went to watch this EP, I already took a small peek at the final episode which definitely delivered according to my expectations in this drama. But anyway, back to EP 33, if there's one thing I hoped to liv among the characters, it's definitely the side couples but mainly RUMU. He's the only good thing that came out of QJT honestly and I love that no matter what, he was always there for everyone he loved. I just feel really sad about him being gone now with Long Weiyun.. if anyone deserves to live, it's definitely him. But I guess, even if he was dying, it would've been nice for him to at least see a glimpse of Fu Gui before his last breath.. at least in that way, he leaves with his heart fully calm as he not only loves Weiyun.. he really loves Fugui too.. it would've been nice to capture that Brotherhood moment.. (though technically Fugui also π later on). I feel so sorry for Yunfei too. He was so sad. He founded a family he can call his own and to have people die from that family he got used to, it's definitely sad.
EP34: WTF is this even bruh. ππππ But at least Blonde Cheng Yi is π―π―π― I would've woken up from my resting place and slapped Fugui at this point if I was Huaizhu. GIRL.. IF YOU ARE HEARING ME, YOUR SON IS BEING AN ASSHOLE RIGHT NOW.
EP35: πππ we didn't need to disturb RUMU again. CAN WE NOT ACTUALLY??? a peaceful and dead guy be slightly resurrected under evil just to do all that to Fu Gui. This isn't the kind of one last moment I want for these 2 boys.. anyway, that scene in the bamboo pavillion with QT hugging FG looked so much like Huaizhu hugging Hongye in LIP. Her expressions there was so similar to Huaizhu.. I'M SO EMOTIONAL RIGHT NOW. I MISS MY GIRL.
EP36: where the fuck is the YIQI alliance?? Those fighting are just literally from the Wangquan family and that General Li fam. Hello????
And at that end, kinda weird for the WANGQUAN surname to be divided into the WANGs and QUANs.. but at the same time, just remembered that there are no surviving WANGQUANs anymore (even the "rebranded QUAN") and the last DONGFANG also died back in Red moon pact. ππππππ Damn it. These 2 family full of disastrous fates.
Lastly, I think overall the end was okay.. Except the monologue part coz even until the end, the HERO really plays the HERO role so well trying to get all the things needed done by himself (yeah, I know he definitely be the one who should be shouldering this anyway) but I'd like to think FG died and got to be with his mother and father. The 3 of them all fulfilled their responsibilities/fate so in a sense I'm happy it turned out like this.
I personally like the ending. I agree that this is the fittest ending for all this black fox thingy since Fugui…
I agree. QJT should've died in the hands of his son. if anyone deserved to Live in this story, it's definitely Rumu. I'm glad YF and XY get to live their lives but I do understand Weiyun's decision to accompany Rumu in death. I've always seen dragon characters in this type of genre shows that are very proud beings and only has one mate for life so it's understandable for her to end her life. Just feeling really bad that Rumu had to die.
Stayed till the end hoping there was some chemistry between them considering the romance tag but damn, dunno whoβs…
I commented this before but lemme comment it again,
at this point, the Beloved here refers to everyone Fugui ever loved and adored and not just about QT. That guy loves Rumu, loves Yunfei, loves Fei grandpa, and even with an asshole father, he love Hongye. So it's like the Beloved refers to everyone who graced Fugui's presence..
I keep wondering how they'll ever put In the romance aspect after QC died but hey, even after that little spider died, there was really no going back to the once fluffy times they had together so we should've just really known it wasn't going to be anything romantic. hahaha
Honestly I just skip their so called βcoupleβ parts. Snoozefest. Chemistry does not have to be over the top…
yeah, I agree that it doesn't have to be sizzling or something.. I've seen a few dramas not even in mysterious thriller genres that had love lines but even if it wasn't explicitly mentioned that they're love line, the chemistry was there and was oozing. in this case, they were clear that BHH is going to be Muyu's love partner here so it made me think for a bit what seems to be missing or if there was really a miscast In this.
anyways, muyu really have chemistry with everyone in this story except for BHH. π
I'm on EP 7 now and not gonna lie, there are parts that bore me and there are really good parts of the story so far but as of the moment, can't help but think the Bai He Huai is a miscast.
I haven't seen shows of this woman so I cant really say anything about her past acting but in here, it feels like she's having 1 expression. I can't really point out what's wrong. Also, since Su Muyu's love interest is her, I thought even if there's going to be romance aspect or even none in the suceeding episodes, he has to be paired up with someone who has oozing chemistry with him.
It's like everyone else has that chemistry with Su Muyu except his love interest in here. Which is something weird to feel I guess for me as a viewer.
I hope i'd get to finish this because the other 2 stories I have dropped midway.
[let there be no romance between QT and him because at this point, it's not needed.]^this. QT is calling herself…
YUP!! EXACTLY.. they're just not the same as they were before so if their world needs people to lead, let it be them and them only to shoulder the weight of it all...
If the writers and editors can hear me, let's make this type of ending,
New mask group consisting of: - Fugui - Qingtong - Long Weiyun - Rumu - Li Xueyang - Yunfei - the junior of Fugui which I forgot the name. was it Tingyun? π - and maybe we can add in more?
And if it does end up being a semi sad ending with Fu Gui dying, let there be no romance between QT and him because at this point, it's not needed.
for those who've watched red moon pact til the end, was there any part of the story there that declared Dongfang Yuechu as the Wangquan manor and family new leader??
anyways, today's episodes are good.. but I realize this series only has 36 episodes in total. so it means we really do have few one left now. π¬π¬
and am I the only one who thinks the father son scene needed to be just them alone? QT doesn't really need to be there. ππ
not sure if you read my reply or not but I wasn't implying the abuse was justified.. I said I would still cry even if he was an asshole to Fu Gui because I've seen him in his own story and that Huaizhu's words is piercing me right now.. Abuse is never going to be justified in here but I'm more so mourning the loss of the young Hongye not the father version of Hongye.
I couldnβt agree more. At first, I really thought they were so sweet together. But after watching the ep 30…
I definitely think there was something going on there too at that episode. but honestly at this point, I dont want any romance between them at all. They're fine as platonic friends coz at this point I can see Fu Gui sacrificing himself at the end. And yes, he's someone who loves and adored everyone he meets as long as they dont do anything bad. I mean, look at him. LOL. Everyone who met him in a deeper level sense loves him and he loves them back the same way. Hence why I feel like BELOVED here doesnt necessarily even corelate to QT anymore. ahahahha

but damn, why is the time jump 10 years??? isn't that too far stretched in their timeline?
and also I'm assuming Cheng Yi's character here is 30 yrs old in their current timeline.. is that correct?
